We have been here much longer than you, mortal.  We have fought battles, lived in peace, experienced hope, and had our dreams crushed all before you were even a wisp of imagination.  Yes, we are anceint.  Powerful.  But we are flawed.

 Plot

The land of Kemne has long been protected by the Vakhae, a unique and powerful species.  They are the masters of the elements, but their souls are corrupt.  The Vakhae carry a heavy burden; for they are not only a humanlike creature, but they also have a dragon form.  They can shift between the two at will, but as of late, all of the Vakhae have experienced problems.  At times, they are unable to shift into their dragon form, and at other times are overcome by them.  Their elements have gone awry, too--sometimes they have no control over it.  In the rare case, the dragon mind will take over the human, causing an animalistic terror.

The Vakhae are now unsure if they can be the guardians of the land they love.  Trials and hard times lie ahead.  Can they break free of the curse?

About the Vakhae and Kemne

Kemne- An island in the middle of a vast, landmark-free sea.  No one who has set out to explore beyond it has returned.  The island itself, though, is a paradise.  After the sandy beaches that are to the west, and the huge cliffs the east holds, a peculiar ring of forest stretches around the entire island.  After this, the land varies.  To the north lie plains of rolling gr*censored* and wheat.  The the east is a desert, and to the west the forest continues.  To the south is a ring of mountains.  In the center lies a green, open valley renown for its beauty and abundancy in water.  And, in the very center of the island is the nation's capital, where the Vakhae reside, Eska'Tal.

Vakhae-Besides their supernatural control over the elements and a second, draconic form, the Vakhae are very humanlike.  They have their likes and their dislikes, but they lack a true, balanced soul.  The Vakhae are immortal, and often live long with no true threates aside from war.  Their "government" is simple.  There are four High Dragons, who control the four elements more completely than the others, wind, water, fire, and earth.  They rule over the other dragons, who, acording to their element, work for one of the High Dragons.

((Eh, sorry for not replying, everyone.  *guilt*  Thge end of school has finally come, but I have a ton of theatricl stuff going on.  xD  Thanks everyone for following the rules, but I have a few things to point out:

Feyth: Your characters are accepted, but please add more to their personality.  these are living beings,. and I think that they might have a little bit more to them.

Atalanta: Your characters are accepted, too, but mplease add more depth to your characters.  They need personalties.

Name: Allison "Venom" Caldwell

Gender: Female

Age: Immortal; Looks to be around the age of twenty-three, maybe a little bit younger

Personality: Allison is oftenthought of as cold and sometimes cruel.  She is icy and seemingly unemotional, save for the occas.sional anger and cold sarcasm.  Allison lets no one pas.sed her emotional barriers, for fear of it becoming her weak spot.  Allison always catergorizes emotional displays and emotions altogether as weaknesses and unneccessary parts of life.  Underneath her cold exterior, though, is a still-young girl who is afraid to trust, and afraid to let anyone in.  After giving her heart to someone who hurt her and abused her, Allison finds her icy shell of a personality her only retreat.

Element: High Wind Vakhae

Weapon(s): Allison always carries with her a set of three slim, pure-silver daggers that are always sharpened to a fine point sharp enough to slive through leather at the slightest touch.  She also keeps a long, thin leather whip at her side for extra insurance.  She keeps her daggers hidden somewhere in her outfit at all times, and keeps her whip at her side.

Likes: Allison likes few things better than victory in any form.  She enjoys the thrill of fightingand peaceful dreams--a rare occurance.

Dislikes: Those who are incompetent, obsessive, or emotional.  She hates the thought of opening up to someone and trusting them, and the thought of losing anything--from an arguement to a battle.

Weaknesses/Flaws: Allison hates to lose.  She has to win anything and everything.  Her ambition can also be a hazard.  IT seems to her and tohers that it is the only thing that drives her on.  Also, her emotional barrier and unwillingness to trust can be a major falws in her operations.

Talents/Strengths: Allison is a strong leader and a good one.  She likes to take her time in her decisions, unless they call for immediate action.  She is skilled physically, both in her fighting, speed, and stamina.  Allison's emotional barrier and unwillingness to trust can also be an as.set, though it can also be a liability.

Vakhae Looks: Allison has long, straight blond hair that falls to about her mid-back.  When it isn't in a tight braid or wound-up bun, it falls neatly over her shoulders, often getting in her face.  Her deep violet eyes sometimes contrats with her pale face.  When exposed to too much sun, instead of getting a sunburn (A rare occurance for Allison), she gets freckles that run along the brigns of her nose and spatter along her cheeks, a trait of hers that she resents.  Allison has a tall, lean build, and a strength that defies her thing limbs.

Dragon Looks:

Allison's dragon form is very different from her Vakhae.  A pale, long asain-looking dragon claims her animalistic side.  Its scales are the palest blue that can look white in the right type of light.  They glint a rainbow of colors in sunlight or direct light.  A slightly darker main of blue fur runs along her spine, dwindling as it reached the tail.  If you look closer, or feel the mane, you wil discover that it is actually a huge chain of tiny feathers.  Her tail is tipped with much longer feathers of the same shade.  These feathers are flexible and moveable at will, which Allison uses to guide her in flight.  Her eyes are the same shade of violet as in her Vakhae form.  The underbelly of her dragon is covered with big, creamy-colord plates that also look white in some lights.  Pawlike limbs stretche in the form of forelegs and back lags.  These are actually covered in pale blue fur.  Small, daggerlike horns the same color as her underbelly portrude between her horselike ears on her head, poking out of the mane.  A cream stripe runs along her flat, long muzzle to a doglike nose, and disappears on the other end into a think forelock of her mane.

Age|| Immortal. Looks to be around twenty-two

Personality|| (She's a new character so this is a bit rough.) Aven is soft spoken girl who is easy to take advantage of. She is a little bit to trusting and willing. She has a childish innocence to her. (Can, I leave it at this? Or do you need a little more.)

Element|| Wind Vakhae

Weapon(s)|| Although she hates violence and would prefer not to fight she is a rather skilled archer. So she uses a special engraved bow and special arrows.

Likes|| Playing her flute, flying, being with her friends, sunshine, and simple things such a warmth, butterflies, rain and sunshine.

Dislikes|| Large crowds, loud noises, parties, war and when she loses control. She already finds it hard enough to control her element.

Weaknesses/Flaws|| Aven being the type of girl she is she can never stand up for herself. If some one makes fun of her she can't defend herself, and finds herself agreeing with the person. She also never speaks her mind (even if it is totally against her principles), prefering to be more of a follower than leader, which can be bad depending on who she is following. Her power over the wind is also hard for her to control. While most Vakhae know their power she finds her unpredictable.

Talents/Strengths|| She is an excellent archer. She can hit any target and rarely misses. She is also quite good at playing the flute. (Random fact for ya.)

Vakhae Looks|| If theres one thing you notice about Aven is that she looks so. . . fragile. She stands at 5'5 and has pale skin that looks like porcelain. She has a thin  delicate looking frame, but nothing sickly, she still looks healthy. Her hair is jet black and falls in waves a bit past her shoulders. Her eyes are a clear blue and tend to stand out against her pale skin and dark hair. She tends to wear simple things, like dresses, and mostly. She never wears dark colours or bright colours either. Nothing about Aven is striking in anyway. She not georgeous, pretty, plain or ugly, she just looks, fragile, like a butterfly.

Dragon Looks|| Aven's dragon looks is much different than her human form.In her human for she looks fragile but as her dragon she looks powerful and wolf like. As a dragon she looks similar too chinese lung.Her body is long and agile, built for speed. But instead of scales she has snow white fur. along her back she blue fur. The unlong place with scales is her underbelly which have hard plates. Her face is very wolf like. She has a long snout with long whisker coming out the side and a wet pink nose. Coming out her head are long horns, and her eyes are the same blue they are when she is human.

Name: Christian Kingsbury

Gender: Male

Age: Immortal (Looks to be about the age of seventeen)

Personality: Christian is a complex, often moody Vakhae.  He is gentle at times, at others, pas.sionate.  He likes to do things his way, and is often very stubborn and head strong.  Christian doesn't like to be told what to do, but he prides himself in his ability to as.ses a situation and choose a wise path.  Christian is also very social, sometimes flirty, and nearly always a bit arrogant.  He is good at reading people, but is often too full of himself.  He sometimes can get into very heated arguements, but Christian is usually mellow in the face of anger.

Element: Water

Weapon(s): Though raised to not take part in violence, Christian is skilled with a bow and arrow, and keeps a small set of arrows and aminiature, polished bow by his side.

Likes: Being with friends, big gatherings, the sensation of flying, and good moods

Dislikes: Those who are angry or uneccissarly cold (For this reason, he tends to not get along with Allison), small spaces, or places that get too hot

Weaknesses/Flaws: Christian's arrogance can sometimes make him look like a fool--his worst mightmare.  Because of his social disposition, Christian detests humiliation and teasing, even if he does it sometimes himself.  Christian is very claustophobic, too, and doesn't like overly warm place.s.

Talents/Strengths: Christian is very good at reading and understanding people.  Though not very strong or fast in his Vakhae form, he is very much so in his dragon form, also with a spectacular flying ability. Christian also has a rare, very special ability to control ice more completely than other Vakhaes.  This talent comes at a price, though--he isn't as skilled with water.

Vakhae Looks: Christian has a slightly overgrown style to his blonde hair.  It tends to fall in his face, shading his electirc, unnatural-looking blue eyes.  He has a light complexion that gets sunburned easily, and a spattering of freckles across his face.  He is average in height, maybe a little bit shorter than others.  He is thin and not very strong in his Vakhae form.  Christian also has a thin silver chain with a gold and silver cross around his neck.

Dragon Looks: A medium-sized European-built dragon, Christian's dragon form is rather amazing.  Its electric blue scales match his eyes color.  They end on his slightly paler underbelly, also plated with an astonishing shade of blue.  His eyes are a silvery-blue color.  His wings are slighty too big for his dragon form, giving him an upper advantage in flight.  A mane of--you guessed it--aqua fur runs down his spine, with small, daggerlike spines sticking out of it.  His tail ends in a spearlike spade shape coated with a rare venom that has the ability to freeze those cut with it like ice.  Unfortunately, Christian himself is not immune to this toxin.  His claws are short but sharp, and a deep indigo colr that shines transparent in light--his spines and tail-spade are also made out of this material.
