Flapping his wings Iggy hovered neatly next to Max and Angel, serious for once. "Max. I'm not much help in a major, full scale fight, but, just say the word and I'll demolish anything and everything to set these experiments free. We don't need anymore blind mutants like me." Pausing, Iggy joked once more. "Though, if some of those mutants ARE just like me, I'll have to fight for the position, of "Cook that Fang worship's" huh?"

Wriggling out of the pack, nearly kicking Gazzy in the head, Total bounded clumsily over to Max and licked her face. "Just say the word and those scientists will be wishing that they never messed with me! I'll chew them up, the rascals!" Fanning out his small wings, Total strutted in the air, dropping several feet, forcing Iggy to drop down and catch him. "Whew! That was a close one wasn't it?"

Angel? Thank God. Jeb wants to take me in for testing. We've got a perfect opening now. I'll be breaking free once Jeb lets me out; you'll see my sign. As soon as you do, you guys do what you do best - we'll need the guards incapacitated, but we can handle the Erasers on the inside.

Fang's thoughts to Angel were frenzied as he tried to piece together a plan.

"Umm, okay...when Jeb comes to let me out, I'll need Dravius to pick his lock discretely." the Raven began, his voice soft, "Wait about 5 seconds after we leave, then get out and pick the other locks as fast as you can. If any of you can pick locks, do it fast - we'll only have precious seconds before they see the videos of you and mobilize Erasers to take you out. If you run into trouble, try to run. If you can't, I'll stay behind and distract them; you get to the outside. I have people waiting there to intercept you."

Gazzy hovered neatly beside Iggy, then winced as Total's foot almost connected with his head. "Hey, watch it!" He exclaimed before turning to Iggy and touching a small device to the blind mutant's hand. "This is a smoke bomb, Iggy. I made it myself. We can use these to distract the guards, so that we have time to go in and take 'em out without a fight. Seconds may be all we need, since it's Fang on the other end." His voice was soft as he muttered to his flock, showing them all the tiny pellet he had touched to Iggy.

Gently feeling the smoke bomb, Iggy nodded his approval, "Great job Gazzer, but what do we do about all the other mutants? They can't join our flock. Too many liabilities, too many chances for the other side to get through to us. But.. I don't want to let them just stay there, since chances are, I'm dropping Big Boy on the School anyways." Blinking small tears from his eyes, Iggy suddenly became frustrated. I can't believe I'm fricking BLIND! I'm not even useful, what if I drop the bomb on Fang by accident!? Or any other of the flock members!? I hate the School! I HATE them! Iggy wailed silently in his head.

Total wriggled nervously at the sight of the bomb, "It's not going to hurt is it? Ohh, I wish I was with Akila, in Paris! Why couldn't we be in Paris right now!?"

Nylat nodded swiftly, her eyes sharp and bright.
"I may be able to pick my lock with a claw. Not sure."
She continued the pacing she had started before--it was her only pastime, and she often paced to keep her thoughts straight and her aggression low. Her tail moved in a slow tempo, another method of calming herself.
Today's the day. The day that I'll finally run free, the day that my cramped cage will become an open sky. Today.
She waited patiently for the right moment, calmly, despite her rapid heartbeat.

Fang nodded, then reached back into his wings. He smiled as his soft feathers brushed against his fingertips, then focused on rooting through his plumage for a suitable feather. As his fingers closed around one, he tugged, trying not to wince as the plume came free of his skin and bone. He stuck the feather through the bars of his cage.

"Here. I think that'll do." he said calmly, pulling his shirt back over his head and curling his wings against his shoulder blades. He was nervous.

"I'm concerned about the other experiments, too...I mean, we can barely feed and shelter ourselves. We can't be responsible for anyone else! But also-...Fang's not part of our flock anymore..." Gazzy trailed off, his blue eyes clouding slightly.

Max watched as Gazzy revealed his home-made smoke bombs. Well, that was one way to go about it. She sighed quietly to herself. What a pain, coming back here was bad enough, the fact they we're practally planning to invade the place was worse. Far worse, and Max was having to think through all her anger and worry. Anger at the entire situation, coming back, the damn people in that building... And worry over the safety of her Flock. She glared at the sky, figuring she'd probably feel alittle better taking out her frustration on those damn Erasers...

She glanced once towards the School for a final time before facing Angel again, her voice clear as she spoke, revealing no hint whatsoever of her inner turmoil. She was also trying to ignore what Gazzy had just pointed out. She'd face that when it came.

"We'd better get closer. We don't want to miss that sign..." She watched both Iggy and Gazzy. They were more than capable of causing some huge distraction, what with everything they specialized in. She grimaced slightly, thinking about the confrontation to come, before turning and forcing her wings downward, driving her body into the air before speaking again.

"You all ready for this?"

Skai waited quietly and patiently before nodding at Fang. It sounded like a reasonable plan, and had this been said any earlier, she would have thought it impossible. There was something about this Raven though that gave her courage. It was the way he was, the way he spoke, he'd done all this before. Admittedly, knowing that there were others outside the building added to her feeling of hope.

She settled herself into a position that allowed her to move easily, once the cage had been opened.

"Alright... Guess we just wait now..."

"Fang said we'd know when to strike and know what to do. He's ready and waiting for the right moment, which is...really soon." Angel breathed out, not telling her flock leader how panicked Fang sounded. How...nervous he sounded about his idea. Her wings flapped a bit keeping her hovering in the air next to her brother, then noticing Total.

Her demeanor changed completely and she squealed, moving to capture the dog and give him a quick hug in the air before pulling away with a giggle. "Oh, Total! How did you get here, you silly dog?" She gushed with a smile, looking down at him before biting her lip mentally and looking up towards Iggy. "Don't worry, Iggy! Gazzy and I can help you...we know the School did bad things; this will help stop them, right?" she thought to the elder boy before turning her gaze back to the building, waiting on the signal.

Jeb pulled the door open.

"Come, Fang." He ventured closer to the Raven's cage; to put up a front, Fang snarled at Jeb, pulling his lips back and revealing his canine teeth in a frightening grimace as he let a low growl well up from his throat. Jeb stepped back a few inches, but his eyes turned steely as he moved to unlock the teen's cage and step back to allow the mutant out. Fang's gut twisted. Here was freedom, staring him in the face, beckoning to him...he could escape out the door in the bl
ink of an eye, dart past the Erasers by blending in with the darkness around them, and shoot out the door into the sky without even being missed...he could leave everything and everyone behind, and just be alone like he'd always been. Then, his irises marginally flickered up to Raj, then over to Skai - he couldn't abandon his friends. They would have to go through with the plan.

He eased himself out of his cage, straightening and glaring down at Jeb, who took an impressed step back; Fang was almost a head taller than him. "Impressive." the head scientist said calmly; Fang snorted and crossed his arms over his chest, his wings fidgeting on his back.

"Let's get this over with." The door slammed shut as Fang and Jeb left, dousing the other experiments in darkness.

Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.

Matrix watched Jeb come back in to fetch Fang. Her wings ruffled against her back as she crouched forward to watch them leave. Her tail feathers fanned out as she balanced on the balls of her feet. Unfurling one of her wings, she gently pulled two feathers out from her secondaries. Keeping the wing in place, she used her talons to peel off the inner and outer vanes from the pale shaft that made it a feather. She could try an attempt to pick the lock on her cage, though she knew she wasn't the greatest.

Matrix blinked and dropped the feathers before she crawled out. She nodded a silent thanks to Dravius and streatched her legs as she leaned up against the top of her cage. Her wings were curled around her shoulders so they couldn't get caught by the bars. Her tail feathers were still fanned out. Tilting her head to one side, she watched the others with her yellow eyes.

Raj leapt down from the cage, the ground minutely shaking as he landed heavily on the ground; the pony-sized cat licked his fangs as he crouched into a sprinting pose, waiting for the signal to dash away.

Jeb walked ahead of him, talking to him about pointless School things. Perfect. Fang's wings twitched, then snapped open, bowling over the two Erasers that were walking behind him; as they opened, Fang spun to keep his wings from slapping into the walls and breaking. Just as Jeb turned to see what had happened, Fang was off like a shot, hurtling around the corner and aiming a spinning kick into the chest of the first Eraser in sight. The wolf-hybrid slammed back into the wall, breaking through the cement and sending a shower of sparks through the empty culture room behind it. These sparks crackled up the wires and caused a minor explosion on the roof of the school, sending up a plume of white smoke.

The signal.

The School trembled.

They were so close to that place now, too close for comfort. Max continued forward, her eyes trained on that building from hell as it expanded in her line of sight. She glanced back only once, just to ensure the others were behind her when she heard it. Her head snapped forward as she focused on the location of that noise. The School.

She clenched her fists, her face set, as she called back to the others over the rushing wind.

"Alright guys, this is it... Be careful"

She glared at the building, watching as the smoke dissapeared with the breeze as it rose, paying close attention to just how fast they were now heading for that place. Well, there was no going back. Max could only hope she wouldn't regret this decision, with any luck, everyone would make it out.

She looked back at Gazzy and Iggy. "You two know what to do?"

Skai, despite her frail and weakened appearance, moved with great swiftness and agility from that cage, using muscles she never used often. She immediately made her way to stand by Dravius, who seemed to be taking care of the camera problem, and she was surprised at his height. He looked far taller up close, then again... Maybe she was just small.

She looked around at the other's, then back up at Dravius, just as an explosion was heard from somewhere, followed by a shudder eminating from the walls. She as.sumed straight away it had something to do with Fang.

"Dravius... Now what do we do?"

Smirking, Iggy nodded. "They won't know what hit 'em" Nodding solemnly, Iggy handed Gazzy Big Boy2, announcing solemnly "You know what to do Gazzer." Suddenly, a wide smile stretched Iggy's face. "As for me.. I think a stink bomb will do . Though I'm not sure we need one, it's always nice to suffocate a couple Erasers before we take the rest down."

Total wriggled happily in Angel's arms before fluttering down lightly. "They won't know what hit them! We're here to rescue you Fnick and the others!" Total announced happily, accidentally using the nickname Iggy had constantly used, teasing Fang.
