"Too much comfort might make a cat lazy, especially if he is being fed by others. Cats have always been solitary animals, the Clan life is unnatural." Scree scratched her flank as she waited for the Clan tom to respond, no doubt ready to extoll the virtues of the Clans. She got up to leave, stretching her sore muscles from the fight.

CoalShadow looked at Snowbreeze. "I like to be by the river. It's relaxing. I don't enjoy the alone part, but the scenary is worth it." He brushed against Snowbreeze as he went to take a drink from the stream.

Adderstrike laughed, "We get lazy huh? If we are so lazy, you wont mind telling me how many territories you were chased out of, and how many times you were attacked and beaten by warriors." He taunted. ____ Wind raised one eyebrow at Scree, curious how she would react to being talked to like that. |

Snowbreeze looked around, "it is pretty out here. Usually when I come out here, its with other warriors, and we are usualy too busy to sit back and enjoy it." she said, looking up at teh sky.

Scree sighed, though her infallible calm wasn't broken. "I've lived in this territory for my entire life, ever since I was kitted. Each of these scars represent a battle that I fought, and won. Both StreamClan and PebbleClan tried to drive me out," she mewed calmly. "I only left because I was tired of fighting, the battles weren't too difficult. I hoped that maybe Leaf Clan would offer up better opponents. Perhaps, I was incorrect."

Coalshadow saw his chance. He looked at the shecat. "Then maybe we should come out here more often. Just you and me. We can relax and enjoy the beauty here." He moved closer to her.

Adderstrike grinned, standing up to his full hight. He had always been a large cat. He lashed his tail and his amber eyes glowed, "I would challenge me. I find it hard to back down from a challenge." he said, unsheathing his claws. His muscles were sore from hsi fight with the fox, but he was still full of energy, and he was ready to fight.

Snowbreeze looked down at Coalshadow and purred, "I would really like that." she said, looking into his eyes. She shufled her paws a little nervously, and wrapped her tail around them to hide the movement.

This time Scree let some emotion through. "Listen, I'm tired of constantly being challenged by puffed up toms everytime I enter a territory. Why are you Clan cats so snotty and stuck up? You always think you're better than any cat, just because you have more cats. My mother and father were killed by your warriors, you're worse than any rogue!" Scree stood up to walk off, her fur bristling on her spine.

Even though she tried to hide it, Coalshadow saw Snowbreeze shuffle her paws. She's nervous. would that mean she likes me? Coalshadow hoped he was right because he liked her. "Then we will make a point to come out here more often. We can enjoy a perfect spot together." He came closer to her, putting one paw over her tail wrapped paws.

Duskpaw ran after Scree. "Wait, stop!" she called. she skidded to a halt next to the cat. "My whole family was killed by a clan cat from Breezeclan, but I joined so I could get revenge. If you don't want to fight a stuck-up tom, then you can fight a blind she-cat. Her sightless eyes narrowed...

"You think your the only one with a past? Well my brother was killed by a rouge, he was just a kit." he snarled, "and so was my mother. My little helpless brother was killed at the paws of a rouge. And my mother died protecting me. So don't tell me I'm worse." he yowled, lashing his tail angrily, then spinning to pad back to camp, he glanced back at Wind, "are you coming or not?" he asked, Wind shrugged, "might as well." he said, following Adderstrike nervously. _____ Snowbreeze felt her face grow warm. She smiled and rubbed her cheek against the side of his muzzle, "do you promise?" she asked. |
