Rainflower was breathing slightly irregularly as she picked herself up. The fox's claws had managed to gash her shoulder, where blood was still leaking out. Rainflower faltered slightly, wondering if she should visit the medicine cat. "No, no." She murmured. "I don't want to cause any trouble."

Dreampaw had escaped from the fox attack relatively unscathed, when she noticed Rainflower limp slightly. She caught up to her mentor, Adderstrike. "Hey, Adderstrike." Dreampaw said. "I think Rainflower is hurt." She pointed at the blue-grey warrior with her tail.

Sunflare sighed when Bluepaw described her catch. "Now, Bluepaw. We must always respect our prey, no matter how silly they act. And yes, Coalpaw, your two catches are also excellent. They would be good additions to our fresh-kill pile." Sunflare looked up into the sky. "Why, it's a little after sunhigh. I think it's time we head back to camp." He got up and slowly weaved through the trees, pausing to wait for the two apprentices.

Coalpaw nosed Bluepaw's falcon. "It's so soft!" He blurted out, then let out a mrrow of laughter. "Come on, Bluepaw!" Coalpaw picked up his mouse and rabbit. "Let's go back to camp!" The sentence was heavily muffled by the soft fur of the rabbit, but Coalpaw didn't care. "Race you back to camp!" He darted off, quickly pa-ssing Sunflare.

Rainpaw sat thinking. "Why the sudden change of mentors?" she thought. She stared sightlessly at the sky.

Willowleaf pounced playfully on her sister. "Psst, Rainpaw. Sunstrike is in the nursery, that's why."

Rainpaw jumped up. "Really? She has kits!" Rainpaw danced around happily. "Kits are adorable!" she then sprinted off to the nursery, calling happily, "Sunstrike! Sunstrike!"  She then tumbled into the queen and her kit. "Nightkit's adorable!" she praised, remembering the name her sister told her.

[[I dunno. I think Feyth said Duskpaw has superior hearing skills. -shrug- Personally, I find blind characters in RPs cliché, not to offend anyone.]]

Coalpaw had bounded back to camp without even stopping, though his jaws ached a little from the weight of the prey. He quickly deposited his catches in the fresh-kill pile, and ran by Willowleaf. "Hi, Willowleaf!" He called, not stopping. Coalpaw skidded to a stop in front of the nursery."Hi, Rainpaw!" He greeted, and crouched down, his head between his paws. "And hello, Nightkit!"

Sunflare had arrived back in camp, and saw Rainpaw running around all over the nursery. "Apprentices." He repeated, though chuckling slightly. The eagerness in the young cat's actions reminded Sunflare of his apprentice days, which seemed so many moons ago. He saw the rabbit and mouse that Coalpaw caught already inside the fresh-kill pile. 'That reminds me.' Sunflare thought, as he padded over to Willowleaf. "Willowleaf." Sunflare called. "We're back from hunting. Your apprentice is a very good hunter, Willowleaf." Sunflare purred. "He's quite... active."

[[According to the dictionary, something predictable and overused o-o I just like saying it, so I sound pro 8D]]

"Aw, don't talk like that, Rainpaw!" Coalpaw said. "Your talking like a cat who lost her hope!" He prodded her on the side. "You didn't, did you?" He asked, then grinned. "I caught a rabbit and a mouse today, while hunting with Bluepaw and Sunflare." Coalpaw boasted, then felt like a show-off.

Sunflare heard Willowleaf utter his name. "Huh? What's up, Willowleaf?" He turned around and looked at her. She was acting awfully odd.

"Nope, Coalpaw." Rainpaw snapped playfully, not wanting to make Coalpaw think she was angry, or she was a gigantic softie. "That's great too, your catching fresh-kill."she added quickly.

Willowleaf shook her head a bit. "Sunflare... I..." she murmured again, staring up at the sky. "He doesn't think of you as a nice cat to be mates with, Willowleaf." she quickly told herself aloud.

"What was your first catch you ever made, Rainpaw?" Coalpaw asked. He looked around at the trees that surrounded LeafClan. "I still remember mine... It was a squirrel. A very furry ginger squirrel." Coalpaw had never been a great hunter. He had the strength and the speed, but perhaps lacked the sneakiness of a perfect hunter. He had let go of dozens of prey before, but at least now he was hunting better.

Sunflare tipped his head to one side. "You... feel sick?" He asked, clueless. He wondered what was on Willowleaf's mind. She usually didn't act like this.
