"Yes. First, we hit the pub. All the drunk sky pirates are there. They're the easiest to steal from." Grace walked off of the ship and avoided the smiles and tipping hats of the oblivious city-goers. They didn't even know that the Winged Ones were right under their noses. She walked over to the pub calmly and opened the door. She walked in and approached a young looking sky pirate. She saw his wallet in one of his pants coats. She reached in gently and placed a firm grip on it. To keep suspicions from rising, she took a seat beside him on the barstool. She couldn't tell if he was drunk or not. ((The guy that she's stealing from is Edel. Thought that would make some characters interract, fists fly.))

Shay nodded and followed Grace. She sat down beside her. Behind her, she heard a 'Here you go' and the rustling of a bag. Chips. Yum. She hadn't had chips in a long time. Then she heard a slurred 'Thank you mister pubbie.. haha... eh..' A drunk guy. Well. While the drunk one walked over to his drunk friend, Shay quickly snipped the chips from the guy and stuffed them into her jacket. She opened it a crack and ate a chip. Mmm.. (Ooooh. Edel won't be happy about that at all... )

((Poor Edel....so that's why he needed to buy more supplies. xD )) Edel's eyes flashed, similar to a lightning bolt across the sky. He sipped a bit of his cool water, his parched throat relieved from all the traveling and getting whipped in the face by merciless wind. Then, donning a smile on his face, he turned to the young girl beside him. Strangely enough, when he set eyes on her and the other traveler, he felt the air...compress? He shook his head to himself. How odd--it seems the air is moving itself... He had once read in a book that particular beings could cause the air to hum--especially when these beings had wings that resonated with the currents so much that it was impossible to keep them retracted for too long. Although, he didn't know how efficient the book was considering he had stolen it. He raised a brow at the two newcomers. It would be just my luck if... "Hello..." he flashed a small grin. "May I buy you two something? Although, I'm not exactly sure if you should be at the Pub." The statement was innocent enough. He glanced at the bartender from the corner of his eyes. "Picking on two girls? Ain't that a bit overdone even for you laddie?" The bartender joked. Edel raised his hands in the air in mock offense. With a hearty laugh, he picked up two gl*censored*es and poured in lemonade, sliding it across the table to the new customers. "Of course, I'd need my wallet to pay for these now. May I?" he looked at the two with expectation, his hand reached out, waiting for his wallet. ((We should wait for Dust too before we move any further from the Pub. :3 ))

Grace pulled her hand away from his coat pocket. She had backup plans. That's what the pocket knife in her backpack was for. If he made any sudden moves, she would run and fly. "I guess you will need your wallet for that." She would take advantage of him while she could. Free stuff-payed for stuff was hard to come by. And people with wings didn't get special discounts. Grace's grey eyes examined his face, looking for a sign of hostility. He seemed innocent enough, not very likely to pull a gun on her. A loud squeak came from her backpack. Lone had found his squeaky toy. Grace readjusted her wings under her jacket, bumping Lone with the edge of her right wing. A signal for him to shut up. She took the wallet from her pocket and placed it into his hand. Her face didn't show any signs of her being worried.

Flying really, really wasn't what people thought it was like. At least, the people who couldn't fly thought it was like. Floating beautifully above the earth? Sort of. But also a lot like living in harmony and at war with nature at the same time. It was kind of terrifying when said force of nature decided to pull a fast one on you. Like now. The girl's dark, leathery wings whipped up and down as she veered right, then left, before she came to a halt as she realized she couldn't outfly the thick fog that rushed from underneath to intercept her. She stalled in the air, trying to decide what was the safest thing to do as the damp mist encased her. What a weird fog. Way too damn fast to be natural. Okay, so maybe Mother Nature wasn't trying to kill her today. More stalling. Anise actually knew what it was like to zip at terriying speeds across the sky thousands of feet above blurry land while trying not to be torn apart by the wind's destructive power. She wasn't entirely sure if that was a blessing or a curse either. "The middle one." She breathed to herself, furrowing her brow and co.cking her head. "Reality." Drawing her black, bat-like wings just slightly closer to her body, she decided to let herself fall a few feet. That's when she became sure-- the wind was being cut off by something. Not water; she could hear the waves, but they were too far below her. Whatever it was, it was solid. Anise steadied her breathing and focused on the one thing that might get her out of this unharmed.
Her pet. The ma.ssive spider crouching between her shoulder blades was weirdly calm for being so close to water. She could feel the hooks on the tarantula's legs kneading her skin, much like a happy cat. Accepting the fact that her spider felt safe and therefore so should she, Anise flew in a circle. Nothing. So there was land below them. Anise reached behind her with a frown, and unlatched the rose-haired tarantula from her back. Help me out for once, then. She thought as she held out the tensed beast and then promptly dropped it, letting the white fog swallow it.
The soft thump announcing its landing sounded only a few moments later. The young girl let herself fall as well without a moment's hesitation. The impact would have hurt more if it was unexpected. What was, though, was the slope. As soon as she landed she was pulled down by gravity, and found herself rolling unsteadily down a sort of metallic hill. Despite her best efforts and the sheer force of her willpower, her nails did not help in slowing the fall. It ended quickly though, and she smacked back-first against a flat surface, effectively having the breath knocked out of her.
She lay there winded for a second before rolling onto her front to avoid squishing her wings further. She swept her hands gently across the platform on which she lay. It was definitely artificial. She paused, then reached out and felt the decline that she had nearly killed herself on. It's a ship. She realized. It explained the unnatural fog, at least. A few curiousity-driven thoughts ran through her head before reality seized her once more. Dread followed closely. The two went hand-in-hand most of the time. Whoever ran this ship could use aerial magic, obviously, and with skill as well. From an outside perspective, she was either a thief or a stowaway. She was most definitely in danger.
It wouldn't be much safer in the fog, though; and this ship had clearly been docked. What if she flew out of the fog and into the sight of people by accident? Then what? Hauling herself to her feet, Anise clambered up the ship's side, flapping her wings to give herself an extra boost. She met with the spider, who she nearly tossed away out of spite for having not taken any injury itself. Stupid thing and its clingly legs.
Three minutes of steady climbing later, Anise got to her feet on what she a.ssumed was the main deck, but stayed in a crouch in case she needed to bolt. No sound reached her ears, though, so she chose a direction and ran with it. Careful, light steps. More listening. Her spider's gentle kneading.
Repeat.
{ Er, yeah, my intros tend to be a bit lengthy. Don't mind it, my other posts won't be quite as long as that. oAo
So anyway! Anise is just running around on top of Edel's ship right now. x3 }

"It's on me then," Edel nodded, pulling out coins from the leather-bound wallet and and then sheepishly setting the wallet inside his jacket pocket, where he could better monitor it from pick-pocketers. Although, he wasn't one to talk. "So," he began. "I see you two have been on my ship." He arched both brows this time. "Don't be surprised--I've traveled on the Pegasus way too long. I sense when people come and go...and right now, there seems to be another person on that ship. Another friend of yours perhaps?" Edel stood up from his stool, nodding a farewell to the bartender, who only winked at him. "At any rate, I shall be checking who is lounging in my ship before anything gets stolen again." He eyed the girls warily, putting emphasis on his last word. What was the world coming to these days when a decent pirate can't dock his ship without people invading it? Opening the Pub's door, he looked back. "Come along if you like--your friend on the ship right now may need it." His eyes smoldered mischievously. He whipped his hand into the air, writing odd symbols that seemed to almost glow. In a flash, they vanished, and outside of the city, the Pegasus initiated 'lock-down' mode. A field of aerial magic appeared, creating a barrier around the ship that prevented things from coming in or out unless they wanted to be buffeted by murderous winds. ((Everyone's getting on his ship.. XD;; Poor Edel. ))

{ Lock-down mode? o_o Well, crap. }
Anise felt the hairs on the back of her neck prickle suddenly, and she stopped her careful treading to glance up, tensed. She'd felt this before, and recognized the feeling. Aerial magic. The realization that the captain knew she was here caused a chill of unease to run down her spine. But where was he? She swallowed and forced herself to her feet, stuffing the tarantula down her shirt, then spread her tapered wings. She needed to escape.
As soon as her wingtip clawed through the open air past the ship's railing, she was ripped from her place on the deck. Before she knew what was happening Anise was smashed against a wall-- thank god, for she might have been flung off the ship altogether if it hadn't been for that obstacle. She leapt to her feet quicker this time, adrenaline spurring her on and dampening the pain in her side. Her dark, thick hair fell in front of her face messily, and she brushed the locks aside.
Now what? Anise glanced around edgily, pale scarlet eyes surveying her surroundings. Oh, right. Mist. She cursed quietly and backed against the wall she had hit. At least, this way, the captain wouldn't be able to sneak up behind her. Which left every other direction open, including up.
Anise unfolded her 'scarf' from her neck and left it fall down in a thin, but opaque, crimson sheet, then buttoned it up and held the corners together with one pale hand so it wouldn't flare open and reveal her wings. The last step; she drew her shotgun. Holding the cool metal to her chest, the waited for the captain to arrive.
{ Hm... you know what. xD Anise's personality is still a bit malleable, so I'mma RP it out. -edits bio- }

Shay took another chip, then another, and another. She muched on them happily. She nudged Grace as Edel left. "Hey, I got some chips!" she said, and offered one. "And... should we follow the guy..? I'd say 'no', but it sounds interesting..?" After thinking about it, Shay knew that if they followed the guy they would risk being captured. Or found out. Or killed, even. But if they went with him, they'd see the stowaway. They'd get to know him. They'd have some adventure. But they could get killed. Death or Adventure? That was the question. Shaking her head, Shay couldn't decide. So she patiently waited for Grace's answer, so she would answer the question for her, in a way. She kept eating the chips secretly.

"I'm following him. Do what you want." Grace got up from her chair and her wings started aching. She had managed to steal a few things, such as a candy bar, but she didn't get anywhere near what she wanted. She wanted Edel's wallet. She walked out of the pub and out into the streets. Soon, she reached the Pegasus. Long before Edel did. She could see the dark outline of a winged one. She could tell that she was a winged one by the way that the air looked around her. The air looked vibrant, full of energy. Grace pulled out Lone and walked towards the Pegasus. Then, it was almost as if she hit a brick wall. She busted back and scratched her wings. "Dang aerial magic." She pulled out two daggers that were tucked near her waistline and sliced at the invisible wall. Seems that nothing but the ship's captain could break through these walls. Then, she began wondering how Edel knew that she had snuck onto his ship. How she was stealing supplies. She also wondered if he was... Bah forget it. She wiped that thought from her mind. She scratched Lone's head while deep in thought.

"Aerial magic is quite handy against thieves, yes?" He joked amiably to the girl. Edel walked briskly into the fog and snapped his fingers. A quiet whoosh echoed and bounced of the mountains surrounding the harbor. The barrier shattered but the fog still remained. He boarded the ship and into the deck, looking behind him at the two girls who decided to follow him after all. He walked near the bridge, whistling a soft, melodic tune. The fog slowly inched out into the sea and vanished. His eyes zoned in at the girl who stood with her back against the wall and held a shotgun. His lips twisted into wry amusement. "I'm being kept from my own ship?" With a sigh, he put his hands up into the air, as if in surrender. "No fighting please. I'm not interested in having blood spilled right when I just got this place clean." The air hummed. Again, he could feel the air differently around the new girl--the same feeling the other two had. It was as if the air were alive and stirring when nothing was moving. "Honestly, just what are you people? Pirates? Though you three certainly don't look the part. And I really haven't met any girls who interested in adventuring either, or sneaking into pirate ships, or stealing."

"Well, we aren't like all other girls." Grace didn't mean that she had wings, but she meant that they didn't get manicures and carry around cellphones. Grace walked onto the ship like she owned the place. She sort of did, given that she stole supplies from it. Lone jumped from her arms and ran up to Edel. Lone chewed on his pants leg and growled playfully. Grace gasped. "Lone!"

Anise's eyes widened as she felt the barrier break. Or she thought she did. The presence of the fog's Aerial magic made her unsure-- and so she stayed put. She didn't really want to have her wings torn off. It was then that the fog slowly seeped away into the waters. Anise, not moving, glanced around the corner of the wall where the deck continued past it. She wasn't given any time to bolt properly. "I'm being kept from my own ship?" Anise flinched at the sound of his voice, then whipped around to face him. He was surprisingly young for owning such a large ship, and had an amused ex pression on his face. She narrowed her eyes but held her ground. There was a second girl, too. A Winged One actually, judging from the way the air was behaving around her. That didn't change her view of the situation. As soon as the young captain held his hands up, she stuffed the shotgun in its pouch and started running.
She took the corner and launched herself up onto the wall, grabbing a pipe and using it to haul herself to the top. There was an even higher section further on. Anise shot towards it, her bare feet tapping almost inaudibly against the thin metal. Well, what else was she supposed to do? He had said he didn't want to fight her, which was probably a lie. Surely he'd be angry to find a girl on his ship, especially when there was pretty much no explanation for her being there other than hitching a ride or stealing. Anise had grown up in such a way that her social skills were absolutely shot. She wasn't about to negotiate with him or explain herself. No. Freaking. Way.
She reached a second wall, and searched the sections higher up for pipes, but to no avail. Anise backed up, gauging the wall's height for a moment, then glancing back to see if anyone had followed.

Shay peeped at the other person. The air hummed around her. Hm... Who was she? The guy at the pub had called her a 'friend', but that girl was definetly not somebody Shay knew. She looked at the captain of the ship she had found Grace on. Who was he? And why surrender? Confront the other girl, gosh! You're acting like such a wimp! What do you look like to other people, huh? I can tell you - A CHICKEN! she thought. Then, Shay wondered about Grace's comment. 'We aren't like other girls,' she had said. That was true. Not just like with the wings.. But with personalities. Shay wasn't technically an ordinary girl, besides wings. She loved adventure. She was curious and daring. And she would do what she had to to survive. Even kill someone if she needed to. She could be crafty with a sword. But it was time to focus on reality.
