Name: Lend Rikau

Gender/Age: Male/16-18, nobody knows.

Type: Sky Pirate

Appearance: Lend stands at about 5'6"-5'7". His somewhat long sandy blonde hair is pulled back into a loose ponytail most of the time. His eyes are a stormy grey. His skin is rather tan, but not too tan. He wears jeans and dark colored t-shirts most of the time with dusters over it. He has a small chain around his wrist, a present that a wise old Winged One gave to him long ago. He mostly wears black converse, but he sometimes wears boots.

Personality: I'm too lazy to type it right now, so rp it out.

Companion Pet: None yet.

Talents: He can sense changes in temperature and weather, and can sometimes control the temperature or the weather. However, using that ability drains his energy quickly. He is also skilled in fist fighting.

The man had merely nodded. "I'll take my leave then. I shall check on your table later." As he turned, he had an impeccable, devilish smirk on his face. Naturally, Edel caught it and looked warily at him. He had never seen this character in the restaurant before. Nor had he missed that the air around the mysterious man vibrated. Almost similar to the girls', oddly enough.

"Let's not dwindle here too long; I think it best to talk about the Prophecy when we're back on the Pegasus." He shifted in his seat, placing himself where he could easily reach his sword. "Order whatever you'd like...and Anise, were you going to say something? Unless it was just me." The corner of his mouth twitched into a small grin.

The man had rounded the corner and into the kitchen. He leaned on the wall.

"Ugh," he started, taking off the black vest that was part of the waiter uniform. "This is too stifling." There was movement from his back accompanied with the sound of something flapping. The air whirred slightly, making a cool breeze. "But now the game is just getting started." 

Lend walked into the resteraunt and took a seat a few feet away from Edel and the girls.

((Well that was a fail intro...))

Grace looked at Edel. "Is it just me or was there something weird about the waiter?" She looked around at all of the girls, wanting their opinion too. "He was kinda... Creepy." She was still sitting sideways.

((Epic fail. I'm in a fail spree today. *Head desk.*))

Edel nodded, "creepy" was the right word. He turned to Anise, who had shoved him her menu. "Mm, alright then, what do you usually like to eat? Meat, pasta, soup?" he asked, quite innocently. He didn't question anything. Although, it didn't help that he had sensed another Sky Pirate. Usually, most pirates weren't on friendly terms--the typical stereotype. But who knew?

All of a sudden, the waiter had come back. "Hello, are you guys alright?" He stood next to the table, with his hands clasped behind his back.

"Weren't you here a few seconds ago?" Edel had asked nonchalantly, but he shifted in his seat.

The waiter's eyes flashed dangerously. "Yes," he purred. "But you have such a group of beautiful ladies with you, that I can't resist." All of a sudden, there was a loud boom. Light flashed in the restaurant, momentarily blinding everyone. It made the sky outside look like noon. Edel stood up hastily, trying to conjure wind to ease the smoke that had steamed out from the source of the explosion. 

"No one move!" he shouted, his hand already on the hilt of his sword. It would be easier to find the girls if they stayed in their places, but he wasn't sure if he was heard above all the noise and high-pitched screams.  

(( Le gasp. Action. :< )) 

Grace grabbed her daggers and held them across her chest, ready to strike anything that looked harmful. Grace's wings ached to be let out and she needed to get out of there with all of that smoke. "What happened?!" She had to yell to be heard above all of the noise and screams. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins now, making her all jittery.

Lend put his hand on his pistol and cocked it. He stood up and looked for the waiter. He had noticed something strange about him, but didn't want to let everyone know. He saw Grace, Edel, and the other girls, but p*censored*ed them up in his search for the waiter.

Shay gasped.  What was that noise..?!?!  She gripped the hilt of her sword in the scabbard.  If anything came near her, it'll die.

Unless it was a bystander, though...  Then they wouldn't die.  Because that'd be sort of rude and bad..

Shay shook her head.  But then about that waiter... Creepy really was a word to describe him.  There was something different about the guy, but she couldn't pinpoint it.  He wasn't one you could just put up on the corkboard, pin him to what personality he matched.

But that wasn't the topic now.  The noise was.  It was flashingly light outside, even though it was the afternoon.  Shay's wings were practically shouting at her to stretch them, but they'd have to be ignored for a while.  Their calls were something to be acknowledged, but now was not the time to listen to them.

(Ah, such sweet failing.)

The waiter had stood, contemplating for a bit and obviously not disturbed by all the smoke and blinding light. He ma.ss.aged his temples, annoyed by all the screaming. With a quick motion, he pulled out a short staff--no more than 2 feet--hidden up in his sleeve. He smiled and suddenly vanished. He reappeared just behind Anise, his staff enclosing on her throat. He shouted, "Don't move, or your friends shall pay dearly. And don't underestimate my weapon either--it wouldn't be very smart."

His weapon was 2 feet in "easy-to-carry" mode. But when it came to battle, the staff extended to five feet and could be uncapped at the end to reveal a sharp curved blade.

By the time he had moved behind Anise, Edel had summoned enough wind to blow out all the smoke. He coughed--too much usage of aerial magic today, especially since he had put magic around the Pegasus as well. He was nearing his limit. "You're one of them! Why would you do this?" his question was directed at the waiter.

"Easy. I hate humans who shun us. And these girls are perhaps...special to the Prophecy? Or maybe they're the wrong ones. Who knows? But I'm willing to take a gamble?" The waiter stood, explaining himself calmly. "Did I mention I loathe pirates as well?"

((Errr.....can't think of anything.. x_x )) 

"There's no way I'm leaving you behind!" Grace got angry. Her fuse was growing short.

((Fail. Epic fail.))

The waiter leered at the other two Winged Ones, "Oh, how sweet. What precious friends," his tone was icy and dangerously low. He checked around the area, and most people were already scrambling about and gone. He smirked. Then there was a ripping sound. Suddenly, the ground beneath him was littered with onyx feathers. Black wings had unfurled from his back and stretched to its full height. "Hmm, that feels refreshing."

Edel looked at him warily, commenting, "Shouldn't you be keeping those in low profile?"

"Why should I answer to humans? I'll just kill whoever dares to report about it." He sighed, but kept the his staff steady. All of a sudden, the hair on his the back of his neck stood up, and he was knocked to the ground by a slap of wind, releasing his hold.

Edel then sidestepped and lunged at the man, who came up and blocked. He uncapped his staff and now it was a full-on scythe. He swung his scythe around, preventing anyone from coming closer. 

"Shame," he said, eying the other girls. "If only you three knew how important you are to the Prophecy."

Grace looked at the waiter. "Are you on crack or something?!" She pulled out her dagger and threw it at his wing. If he had an injured wing, he couldn't fly. Therefore, he couldn't escape. She was going to interrogate this man.

Lend pulled out his gun, finally finding the waiter. "Winged one, surrender," he said cocking the gun, preparing to pull the trigger if necessary.

The waiter flew up into the air, the dagger nicking his wing. Drops of golden blood fell to the floor (oddly enough, wings had a special kind of blood that the body starts making for them). "No, I prefer to think that I'm sane." Once more he sighed, exasperated. "And surrender? For now, perhaps. I thought this was a good time to get you girls, but five against one isn't very fair." He flew higher. Around him, we heard sirens wailing and women shrieking and yelling garbled nonsense about "winged-ones". 

"I'd leave right now before you all get interrogated." And then he flew off.

 Edel nodded to others. "Better to leave than explain ourselves." He withdrew his sword and made his way through fallen plaster and bricks. "We need to get to the Pegasus. And we need to get things sorted out." He glanced sidelong at the other pirate. "You too." 

Lend looked at Edel and hesitantly nodded. He watched as the waiter flew off into the skies.

Grace grabbed her dagger from the wall that it was lodged in. "Alright," Grace said. "Who the heck was he? And why was he saying that we were so important?" She shook her head, confused. Lone scuffled around in Grace's backpack, awake from his nap. He had a small chewtoy in his mouth when his head popped out of the backpack. He let out a muffled bark through his squeaky toy and wagged his tail.
