Edel nodded. "Good thing you're coming along with us then." Soon, the ship descended from the porthole, revealing a glittering sea and a luminescent moon shying away with fans of low gray clouds. 

"Best to sleep now. I've been wondering--how about a training session in the morning? You guys seem to be well-equipped. It'll be nice." Edel said, downing a gl*censored* of cider. "Some friendly competition."

((T___T -envy- Ahahah. x) Oh sigh.)) 

"What do you mean by a 'training session'," Grace asked Edel, raising an eyebrow. She swallowed the last of her curry and gulped down a gla.ss of water. She looked around the room. Lone was on the floor, pawing at her leg. His way of begging for food. She put her bowl on the ground and let Lone lick up what was left.

Lend nodded at Edel and looked at Lone. He then took his eyes from the dog up to the walls of the room.

((Eigth grade sucks. All of the guys are so dang immature. One guy hit me with a tennis ball today. My rule is if I get hit with it, it becomes mine. So I took his tennis ball and put it in my locker.))

Shay ate some of the food in front of her.  Actually, she ate it all.  In about two minutes.  Hunger was what to expect.  She had been hiding out in the woods for most of her life, depending on hunting skills.  And weird squirrels weren't what you would call a 'nice meal'.  But she had to resort to that sometimes.

Edel shifted in his shifted in his seat, skimming his index finger on the rim of the gl*censored*, which produced soft tinkling music. He raised a brow, bemused. "Simple. One on one fighting. Just to test our strengths out--know each others' Achilles heel. It's a great time killer too. And the deranged waiter we just met is no stranger to combat, so we might as well sharpen our skills up. We're bound to fight at one point." He got up, cleaning his dishes.

"Experience is the best thing we've got." He rubbed his eyes, feeling drowsiness meandering in his head. "See you all tomorrow. Pick a room and bunk. I'm sure you could all use a warm bed right now. I know I could--see you in morn', little ducklings." With a wave of his hand and a snicker, Edel left the common room and into his own, getting ready for a good night's sleep--it had been a while since he used aerial magic as much as today.

Grace left her chair and put her dishes in the sink. She had lived on her own for a long time, but never ate off of a plate in someone's home, so she had no clue how in the heck to wash dishes. She picked Lone up and walked outside onto the deck. She was exhausted. Fighting did sound like a good thing. Grace had some good experience with fighting, but she was more of a weapon combatant. She pulled a small blanket out of her backpack and splayed it across the wooden deck. She layed down on, careful not to squish her wings. Lone layed beside her, resting his head on her thigh. Grace quickly fell asleep and drifted off into dreamland.

Lend looked at the girls and nodded before leaving out. He chose a room and sat down on the bed. He pulled something out from his pocket. An iPod. He put the earphones in his ears, blasted the volume, and layed down. He felt privileged to be on this ship. It had been a while since he actually had a good adventure. This seemed fun to him.

Shay went inside a room.  But she soon remembered something - SOLA.  She quickly rushed out to the open deck, and saw her griffon nestling herself inside a large storage compartment.  Nice, warm, shaded.  Hm. Nice spot.  Sola's eyes were closing, but she quickly perked up when she heard Shay's footsteps.

Shay walked over.  "Hey, girl," she said, patting Sola.  "You're gonna have to stay here.  It's too small for you to fit in the cabins.  I'll miss you.."  Sola nuzzled her human companion, and Shay smiled.  She then went back into the cabins and laid her sword beside the bed while she lay on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.  Thinking.  Thinking about... life.  Life...

Edel lay down in bed. He took out his pocketwatch and lay still--his breath in-tune with the tick tock. He tossed the watch on his bedside table. Soon. He could feel something will happen soon. For worse or for good, who knew?

Morning.

"Rise and shine, sleeping beauties." Edel walked around, knocking on each cabin door, then proceeding up the deck, where he found Grace. He raised an eyebrow quizically, but shrugged off the question.

He drew his sword from its sheath, the metal making a tiny, piercing noise as the first rays of sun hit the blade. It glittered, light bouncing off of it in a hypnotizing dance. "Last to get here goes to battle first!" He yelled. He figured to make it a sort of team skirmish. Perhaps Sky Pirates vs. Winged Ones? All in good spirits of course. 

Lend woke up, his iPod still in his ears. He yanked them out and walked out of his cabin. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and yawned in the hallway. Walking to the deck, he scanned the ship for any useful items. He reached the deck where he found Edel and Grace. He stood beside Edel and pulled out his guns.

Grace rolled over, not wanting to wake up. Lone opened his eyes groggily and sniffeled before nuzzling into Grace's arms. Grace was going to be hard to wake up. And better yet, she wasn't a morning person. At all.

Shay was already awake before Edel had gotten to her cabin.  But she always laid in bed for a while before waking up for real.  So that's what she did.  Rolling over, she tried to find another different comfort spot.  Rubbing her eyes, she looked around the room.  Shay groaned, remembering about the fighting to be done this morning.  Hmph.  She could be a little late.  Rolling over again, she wondered about how it would be like.  Shay felt underneath the bed for her sword. It was there, thank goodness.  Like always, it was right where she left it.  Once again tossing and turning, her hair, she noticed, was a mess.  Ugh.  She'd brush it once she got up.  Maybe.  Yawning, she closed her eyes to possibly find a way back to sleep.

Sola, Shay's griffon, meanwhile, nudged Grace.  'Wake up!' she seemed to say.  'It's time to be awake.'  Sola nudged the Winged One again.  Hopefully Grace would get up soon.

Sola was happy.  She succeeded in her mission to wake up Grace.  She nuzzled the girl, then went over to Lone and nudged him on top of her head.  Sola walked around like a parade float for the small puppy.
