Ouka focused upon the mind of another deer and effortlessly brought it down. In a show-offy way, he pranced over to his kill and began to eat it contentedly.

Lyanti shook his head and said, "That meal is yours, I'll catch my own." With a savage grin, he sprinted off after the runaway herd. About ten meters in front of him was a panicking deer. With a well aimed flash step, he appeared over its shoulder and bit down hard, bringing it down with barely an effort. He let loose a howl, letting his small pack know that he had brought down his meal.

As Lyanti sated his hunger and licked the fresh blood from his chops, the wind changed, sending an unfamiliar scent in their direction. It wasn't anything that Lyanti recognized, but it smelled close. He asked Fayte, "Do you smell that?"

Lifting her head up from the bones of the deer she had just finished,Fayte smelled the wind and nodded.She pulled her lips back in a snarl,and spread her wings,waiting for Lyanti to tell her yes or no.

Lyanti growled out the command to split up. with a nod of his head, he sent Fayte to the left and Ouka to the right while he moved straight forward. His large paws made barely a sound on the forest floor as he moved, keeping his nostrils flared and the scent in his mind. His body was more than ready to flash step at the slightest warning. The pack moved forward. Lyanti was still getting used to that. His pack. That sounded so nice in his head....
