Medina looked away in embarassment. She always knew that too but was too worried about thier actual freindship to start anything. She muttered, "He's better off with her...." to reassure herself that she was doing the right thing.

Maple nodded. "Do whatever you think is right Medina, but I must tell you, up until he left, I would occaisionally hear him whisper your name in his sleep." She wondered what had happened to their relationship since they had reunited. All she could assume was that the several moons separation might have changed Ouka in was she didn't know yet.

Medina remained silent, not sure of what to do. A solitary tear gleamed in the corner of her eye as she asked her best friend, "Maple... help me..I can't figure this out by myself.." Lyanti considered Medina and whispered to himself, "You've never found a mate before have you? Aurora looked up at Maple and asked in a sqeaky little voice, "Aunty Maple, what is this about? Is it love?"

Maple smiled at the little one. "Why yes, yes it is about love." She stood and went over to Medina. Placing a paw on her shoulder she said, "Medina, I will always be here for you, know that. But this is something I can only provide support with. Ultimately, it is up to you. What does your heart tell you to do?"

((hehe, totally :D I'm about to steal a line from some movie, but i can't remember which one it is...)) Medina looked up at her, and said, "My heart is pounding too loud for me to hear, I don't know what it's trying to tell me." Lyanti spoke up and said, "Either way, Ouka's hopeless without you." Fayte nodded in agreement and added, "You hold part of his heart, whether it's that of a lover or of a good friend, I can't tell." Aurora, oblivious to Medina's emotional turmoil, moved her gaze from Medina to her parents, back and forth. She couldn't understand any of this, though she really wanted to. She asked Maple, "Why doesn't Ouka decide? Isn't it his choice between Medina and that MoonStar girl?" (Little Aurora has StarMoon's name mixed up X

((Aww, she sounds so cute when she's confused!)) Maple smiled and glanced at Aeren. "If only it was that simple...." Aeren finally chimed in. "From what I remember of him, he never makes his own decisions." Maple hit him playfully, "That's my brother your talking about there." "StarMo-" Ouka stopped midway through his words. He sat where he was, in the middle of an inner storm. Why was he going to StarMoon when Medina was hurt? Should he help her? Should he help Medina. Dazed and confused he did the only thing he could think of: he howled. He howled out a song of everything he felt. Confusion, friendship, worry, passion, and rage all blended together in one. Confusion as for what to do, Worry for Medina, Passion he felt deeply to whom he couldn't tell, and Rage at himself for not knowing. ((seemed like a good moment for Ouka to hop back in))

((yea *shiver* great timing there, gave me goosebumps just reading it <3 )) Eyes, wide, ears up, Medina looked around frantically for Ouka, desperately trying to find him. Tears were flowing freely from her eyes now. (ignore the fact that wolves can't actually cry) Before she could even think about preventing it, her wings opened and she took off, answering with a howl of her own. The sound vibrated through the very air, carried on by the winds. Multiple emotions were woven within the song, though the most clearly heard was loneliness. For many years, Medina had been approached by courting males, but she rejected each one, every single time. Not once did she even propose a courtship with Ouka, much less a lifetime of a close-bonded relationship. Then, when he left, her entire world came crashing down. She had been alone, except for Maple, but she was busy with her own pups. She had been practically alone. This poured through the air in a mournful melody, causing every living thing within the area to perk up thier ears and listen. Medina could only hope that it would carry far enough to reach the one she truly loved. Fayte smiled and said to Lyanti, "There she goes." The alpha male smiled at his mate before looking back to the sky and said, "It's about time." Aurora could only watch as Medina took off in a flurry of feathers. When the howl rang out through the sky, Aurora looked on with admiration. Never before had she heard anything so melodious. Despite herself, Aurora let loose a little howl of her own, testing its sound. As the little wolf's determination poured forth, so did a bit of her inner power. The wind whirled around her a little bit and the ground around her started to freeze, though her parents were to busy watching Medina to notice. Kurano did notice though. "Aurora, what are you doing?"

((Aww! *tear* that's so beautiful! Dang, we are on a roll! ^_^)) Maple smiled as she watched Medina fly off. "You don't know how long I've been waiting to see her fly off with that determination." Ouka stopped howling as he heard another voice call out through the sky. In a moment he recognized it's owner and gasped. "Medina?" he whispered before howling out again in respnse. He let out all of his feelings for her in that howl; everything he had kept inside, that he desparately wanted to say yet never did poured out as he sang his devotion. He had always known Medina was the closest friend he ever had, but now something drove him to get closer to her, every bone in his body sent his sould hurtling towards her as he called out in his mind, Medina! I love you! ((too cheesey?))

((Hey guys!!!!!!!!!!!)) StarMoon looked back at Brutus,"That's fine."Then she looked up at the sky as she heard Ouka's howl,then she raced up to the cliff overlooking the forest.as the sun started to glow faintly,less and less,she heard Medina's howl,and was discouraged.But...She howled weakly and turned around, walking into her cave. She soon fell asleep after a long day. Fayte stretched her wings over Kirano,who was asleep and had no idea about the new arrivals. Kirano felt his mother's wings shadow him,and he woke up,whimpering as he saw Maple and Aeren. Kioko ran over to Maple,carefully avoiding Aurora."Who're you?"

Brutus could tell something was troubling the wolf he had run into greatly. He had the natural tendancy to try and make people feel better when their down, and so he followed the wolf at a distance, listening to the howls that seemed to give her trouble. He lay down at a distance from her cave and stayed awake watching her intently. ((omg stalker! XP)) Maple smiled at the new pup that had addressed her. "My name is Maple, I'm Ouka's sister. And who might you be you little cutie?"

Foxeh is back ^^ hey did you read about the private RP i set up? it's about the pups when they're older :) you're free to join, i'm playing Aurora and Kurano on that one, and welcome back btw ^^ )) Aurora snorted and said, "I'm second oldest!!" Kurano piped up, "I'm the same age as my brother, we're twins!! How old are we again?" Medina cried out in relief at Ouka's answering call and she flew with all speed in the direction of his howl. She heard his telepathic message and answered, I love you too, Ouka! I always have, I just never gathered the guts to tell you! Lyanti looked at Kioko and said, "Kioko, Maple and Aeren will be staying with us, be polite."

Maple smiled. She enjoyed watching pups grow and interact with each other. Aeren hoisted up Kioko and bounced her in the air. "It's so nice to meet you Kioko! Now I'll send you to the stars now!" Then he bounced her even higher to give her the feeling of flight. Ouka looked to the skies in an attempt to see Medina. Me too! I've had so much I've wanted to tell you, but I've never been able to tell you! You are the only thing in this world that matters to me. You are the reason I remained sane in the old pack. It killed me to leave you...promise me we'll never separate again!

Medina glided over the treetops, searching for Ouka. Never again, I promise you that. I'll follow you to the ends of the world if I have to, never again will we be apart. Her heart was soaring, she had never felt like this before. Joy made her feel weightless as she flew through the skies and the wind carressed her fur like loving fingers. Her eyes scanned the ground beneath the canopy of the trees and she finally spotted him. Your fur always made you stand out. She told Ouka just as she folded her wings and plumeted toward him.
