Lyanti grinned impishly and charged forward. It was still a ways until the clearing where the herd grazed came up, so why bother watsing energy with stealth when you can waste some energy and fool around?

Medina laughed happily and replied,

"Of course he reacted well. I think it would be safe to *censored*ume that we're mates now."

when she said that last part she gained a rosy feeling in her chest.

Confused, Medina tilted her head to the side and asked,

"What does that mean?"

Lyanti chuckled at Ouka's challenge and yelled,

"Do you honbestly think you can beat me in a contest of speed, Ouka?"

First, he charged past Aeren, smirking as he did. Then, he let loose a flash step, putting him just a few inches behind Ouka in less than a second. He grinned and remarked,

"I am speed, remember?"

Medina smiled again gently and rubbed one paw over the other, saying,

"Yea, I guess so." She looked away towards the distant horizon and wondered outloud,

"I wonder how everyone else is?"

Lyanti bumped Ouka lightly as he ran, remarking,

"That won't help you in this case, slowpoke!"

He glanced behind him to see Aeren almost trip. He grimaced, remembering that the newcomer had yet to know about his flash stepping technique.

Maple sighed, "I have no idea...I can only hope that they're ok..." She looked off towards where she and her mate had left.

Ouka grinned evilly with his plan in effect.  Mentally, he began singing as tunelessly as possible to Lyanti, hoping that that would prevent him from consentrating for a flash step. Have you ever seen the graaaaaaaaaaaa*censored*s?!!!  Swaaay! Swaaaay! Gr*censored*y! Swaaaaaaayy!!...

Aeren tried to catch up to the others, but eventually just fell into following them. They were in a race of their own now and he was interested in how it would turn out.

Lyanti nearly stumbled as Ouka's horrible singing boomed through his head.

"Gah! Okay okay i take it back! It CAN help you in this case!"

To show his agony to the horrible song, he bumped into Ouka with his shoulder.

Medina smiled and said,

"Maybe we can go back someday and find out."

Ouka laughed and danced to the side keeping up his bombardment all the while.  He only stopped to briefly say, "Told ya brother," but then continued the onslaugt, stretching out his strides, slowly pulling a little ahead of Lyanti.

Maple sighed, "That would be nice...I'd also like to see my pups again, but somehow...I just know that won't happen....I can only hope thier doing fine.."

Aeren laughed as he heard the conversation ahead of him and began to try and catch up, moving the wind to push behind him, half carrying him forwards.

Lyanti snarled and said,

"Have it your way then!"

In his mind, he pictured the deep dark place he always retreated to when the thief was out. He placed Ouka's conscious mind in there and began to rapidly make copies of himself. Once the wolf was surrounded by grinnign copies, they all began singing 'the song that never ends' each one at a different tone. Back in the physical world, Lyanti continued running, watching Ouka's ex
pression. It was his mind, Ouka was only a visitor.

Ouka's face went blank as he was thrust further into Lyanti's mind. He had not been ready for such an onslaught. All the information that flooded into his mind was too much. He could not both run in the physical word and exist in the depths of Lyanti's mind.  His body went limp and he dropped to the ground.  Inside of Lyanti's mind he yelped and bit down on one of the singing Lyanti's.  You're  horrible!

Somewhere behind them Aeren caught up and crashed into the heap that was Ouka's body with a WHUMP!

Lyanti pulled up short, skidding to a halt. he released Ouka from his artificial prison and padded back over to where the wolf had collapsed. Aeren had evidentally tripped over Ouka and lay on top of him. He helped Aeren up and nosed Ouka's shoulder, saying,

"You asked for it, buddy."

Medina smiled and said,

"You know, I'm not a seer or an oracle ro anything but i have a funny feeling that at least on of use will see your pups."

Off to the side, Aurora's ears perked up as a slight shiver went up her spine. Kurano felt it too and looked up.

"What was that?" he whispered. Aurora only shrugged before lying down again.

Ouka got up and glared at Lyanti for a long moment.  After the air got tense he instantly started laughing.  He knocked over Lyanti with a swift kick of a paw. 

"You know you really do sing horribly!"

Aeren started laughing to as he got up and saw that Ouka was ok.

Maple smiled a little.

"That would be nice. I sure hope that'll happen, but probably not for a while..."

Lyanti laughed and got back up, saying,

"You're no better!"

He turned to Aeren and said,

"Sorry that you got pulled into that little round fo combat there. Maybe you could willingly join us next time, eh?"

Maple sighed, shifting her position to a more comfortable one and said,

"Probably. I'm going to miss Fayte's pups when they leave, i mean im practically in love with them."

Ouka began rolling on the ground with laughter again. Rolling on his back and kicking in the air.

Aeren smiled.

"That would be nice, but honestly you two are in a league of your own!"

Maple nodded.

"I agree. I hardly know them and I feel like they're part of my family...."

Lyanti laughed, not only at Aeren's comment, but at Ouka's uncontrollable rage of humor. He said,

"There should seriously be a tournament for things like this."

----

Medina smiled down at them and said,

"Exactly my point."

Ouka nodded vigorously,

"Agreed! We need to do this more often to!"

Aeren laughed, happy that he was already included in the deep pack events.

Maple smiled and leaned down, nuzzling Aurora.

Lyanti took a deep breath, trying to calm down and stop laughing. Suceeding, he turned to his two friends and said,

"Shall we move on?"

Aurora yawned and looked at Maple, yipping quietly.

Ouka, still snickering, nodded,

"Alright, let's go.  There's a herd of deer over the next ridge."

Aeren stood and waited for th eothers to go.

Maple laughed and smiled at the little pup.

lyanti started runnign again, slower this time so as to not make so much of a ruckus this close to the herd.

Medina sighed as she layed her head down on her paws and siad,

"what a day, eh?"

 Kirano looked at Maple with light eyes. He wagged all three of his tails. He unawarely brushed his mind against hers.

Kioko looked at her younger brother, and nuzzled him. His tail were hitting her face and had woken her up.Forgetting that he was deaf, she yelled at him.
"Kirano, stop!"
No reply.

Fayte smiled at the happiness that anyone could feel radiating from Medina. She stood, and padded out of the den, stretching her wings.
"If you could watch the pups for a bit, I would like to go for a flight."
