Ouka moved foward, a little grumpy. He still didn't know what they were looking for, but he was ready to defend the others if need be. He didn't like to fight, but if he had to...

As Lyanti moved forward, the smell grew stronger and gained a bit of familiarity. It smelled faintly of wolf, but more of a mix between ash and burned hair. The stench of ozone also polluted the air, making Lyanti gag slightly.

Lyanti nodded to her and crouched even lower to the ground, continuing forward. He hoped Ouka could stand the acrid stench. Before Fayte took off, he asked, "Could you fly ahead and see what's up there? I think I remember a clearing somewhere near here."

Fayte raised her wings and nodded,she surged her wings down and took off,making silent work of what an owl made tons of noise doing..Clean air...She wasn't cold up here,but she was happy that it was clean.. ((what is it in the clearing?))

(*shrug* i dunno yet, my mind is making it up as I go along. I was thinking a volcano/ash wolf and a lightning wolf. Haven't really decided yet. This is Pip's RP after all ^^)

((Well, Kyreesha, honestly you and Fox are on it more than me, so y'all have as much say in it as I in my opinion. Sorry for being gone for a while guys, been out hunting, fighting family's mood, etc.)) Ouka sneezed, then hit himself for it. His nose was killing him, he couldn't smell a thing and now it was giving their positions away? Something was seriously wrong here. He searched out with his mind, and he could tell something was there, but he could not make out what it was.

Ouka heard Fayte say something that he could not understand. Enough was enough, he knew he was sick now. He looked over at Lyanti to see what he had done, and seeing him stop did so as well. Ouka pawed his ears, because he couldn't hear anything now, all he could hear was a constant ringing. Angry with his deaf state and stifling another sneeze, he pressed out with his mind to Fayte and told her, "Fayte, I can't hear anything you're saying now, but if you don't mind I can stay mentally conected to you, then I could understand you through your thoughts. I won't do this if you are against it."

Lyanti looked up as Fayte cried out a warning. "What's going on?" when he didn't see Ouka rise as well, he rushed over to where he was supposed to be. "Ouka? what's wrong?" He stopped talking when he heard a snap from a few hundred meters in front of them. HE looked at Fayte, hoping his mate would understand his silent warning to land.
