Ouka picked up Aurora and swiftly headed towards the others. Pausing, he thought about the other pups. They had been by themselves for a while now. Looking up at Medina, he set Aurora down. Could you take her to Fayte? I'm going to check on the others.

Kurano began steaming with annoyance. It showed in a vein that poppedout on his head, somethign his was much to young for.

Medina picked up Aurora, staring after Ouka. She wanted to follow him, but Aurora wanted to see her mother very badly. She took off, heading towards the place where she knew Maple and Fayte were. Aeren and Lyanti had rejoined them. She set Aurora down and said,
"Ouka will be here soon, he's checking on the twins."
----
Aurora nearly burst out into tears of joy when she saw her mother alive and well. She ran over to her, crying,
"Momma! Momma!"

Lyanti glanced up as Medina came back with Aurora in toe. He asked,
"Why is Aurora here?"

Medina flinched and smiled uneasily.
"I'll let your faithful beta explain that one."

((Hey!! ^_^)) Ouka trotted quickly back to the den, looking around for the twins. Arriving, he was met with a big empty space in which they were supposed to be. Smelling the air, he could tell they'd been gone for a while. Searching out, he found their mental trace, and he wasn't happy with what he found. Howling a quick warning of danger to the others, he took off, fully concentrating on their position. ~~~ Maple's ears shot upward as she heard Ouka's howl. Something wasn't right. She stood quickly, trying to figure out what could be wrong.

Medina's ears followed suit, shooting up as well as Ouka's howl reached her ears. Huh?! What could possibly be wrong now? ----- Lyanti heard the howl as well and stared off in its direction. He turned, nuzzled his mate, and whispered, "I'll be back again soon, love. I promise." With a determined, yet worried look on his face, Lyanti set off, headed straight for the den. He found nothing... except Ouka's scent. He turned and followed that then, chasing after his friend.

From what he sensed, Ouka could tell that there was another wolf with the twins. He couldn't tell from this distance if it was hostile or not, but he didn't want to take any chances. Trying to link with one of the twins, he mentally and, though he couldn't tell, physically called out, "Kirano, Kurano?!! Can you here me?"

Kurano's ears flicked as he heard Ouka's voice. He glanced at Kirano and mentally said,

Ouka raced forwards as fast as he could. The twins had been under his watch, and he somehow let something happen to them. As he ran he atempted to figure out what he would do if this wolf was hostile. He didn't know if he'd attack him or talk him out of the asault on the boys. He growled slightly as he ran. If this wolf didn't make them regret running off, Ouka would. Mentally, he called out again, trying to contact one of them. Boys?! Kurano? Kirano?

Ouka sighed with relief, glad to hear one of their voices. He was close now, he could tell this much by the strength of the connection. How are you two? Has he hurt you at all? When I get you two out of there, I swear I'll- forget it. Focus Ouka. Are you two ok?

Kirano closed his eyes, to focus on comminication.
We're okay. He seems to just want to talk. He's...different, and I doubt he has a pack... Hirian tilted his head curiously. One of the two pups seemed to be utterly silent, and yet, preoccupied.

Kurano silenbtly eavesdropped on the mental exchange between his brother and Ouka. Instead of giving in a word or two, he continued to watch the strange wolf and listened for Ouka's inevitable grand entrance. When he heard the last thought his brother sent Ouka, he snorted, finally adding,
