Ouka stood, stretching.

"Well, let's go then."

He turned and began walking towards the den. He was glad things didn't turn out badly, but so far this day had been rough, an somehow, he couldn't shake the feeling that the problems had only just begun.

Maple smiled sweetly at Hirian.

"It's good to see you again."

Aeren, smiling broadly for once, laughed and cuffed Hirian lightly on the shoulder.

"Way to finally show up!"

Butus smiled encouragingly to Starmoon.

"It'll all be ok, I can feel it."

Hirian smiled, but decided not to say that he had been following them. Not just yet.
"I haven't seen you in ages, Aeren!"
It wasn't really a lie. He had seen him, but only as a speck on the ground, as he followed far above, out of true sight.

StarMoon shuffled restlessly.
"How can you be so confident?"

"I know man! Sure missed your antics!"

Aeren smiled as he remembered some of the things he and some of the others used to get themselves into.

Brutus looked upwards as he breathed in deeply,

"Things almost always seem to work out for the best. Even if we go through agony, in the end, it will turn out well. No matter what they may tell you now, I'm sure they will still be kind. You are a member of their pack."

StarMoon nodded.
"Yeah, I am. So I guess they'd be kind about it."
She shifted her tail, and it touched Brutus's. She moved it away hastily, turning a slight reddish color.

Hirian grinned.
"Yeah! Those were the good ole' days!"

Brutus smiled, not noticing the color change. He was looking forward at the aproaching pack.

"They won't mind my presence will they?"

Maple laughed,

"They sure were! But, hey, the old gang's back together, with new friends as well!"

Aeren smiled and added,

"Yeah! We'll be up to no good again in no time!"

StarMoon shook her head violently.
"No! I'm sure they won't. Especially since you helped me out."

Hirian grinned even more.
"More friends, more trouble!"

Fayte sighed as they reached the den.
"You guys are a pawful."
She looked up at StarMoon and Brutus.

Brutus nodded,

"I sure hope so."

He fell silent as the wolves reached the den. He hadn't any idea of what to say.

Maple laughed at Hirian.

Aeren laughed heartily, looking forwards to the trouble he knew would come. His laughter died down as they reached the den however, instantly falling back into alertness, ready if the male turned out hostile.

Fayte limped forward, leaving Maple and Aeren behind her. With a silent flick of her tail, she told them she'd be okay. She stopped a pace away from Brutus and StarMoon, and sat. She watched them intently, as if looking for any evil.

StarMoon squirmed under Fayte's gaze, but managed to stay still enough to not show her uneasiness. Her tail moved on its own accord to touch Brutus's, but she was too occupied watching Fayte to pay attention. She was watching for any sign of Fayte rejecting them.

Brutus remained completely serene as the wolf he asumed was the Alpha female of the pack.  she seemed to be analizing him to see if he had any bad intentions.  he remained as calm as he could.

Aeren stopped, still ready to spring at the first moment's notice.

Fayte exhaled deeply, and looked at StarMoon.
"Where have you been? And why have you decided to suddenly come back?"
Her voice had a slight tinge of aggresion, but it was slight, demanding.

Hirian watched as Fayte carefully scrutinized the two wolves, one completely calm, the other nervous. He saw the nervous one's tail move toward the calm one's, and smiled He remembered how he and Medina had been like that once.

StarMoon glanced back at Brutus, then stepped forward.
"I was...thinking. And Brutus.."She waved her tail in his direction,"Helped me see sense. I have decided to ask forgiveness and rejoin your pack."
She dipped her head respectfully.

Fayte watched her for a moment longer.
"You were never out of our pack."
She looked at Brutus, her soft golden eyes again regaining their calm.
"And are you going to stay?"
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw StarMoon turn toward Brutus.

Starmoon looked at Brutus hopefully, her eyes pleading.
"Please."She whispered, barely enough for even her to hear.

Brutus flashed a brilliant smile.

"If you would allow me that honor, I would love to stay with this pack."

He hardly noticed Starmoon's plee, but, unconciously, his tail moved towards hers.

StarMoon barely noticed his tail, but smiled at his acceptance.
"Thank you."
She whispered it hoarsely.

Fayte nodded.
"Then you shall stay."

((I g2g, but I'll try and be on tomorrow morning, After that, I have a trip, and i don't know when I get home after that,))

Lyanti let Fayte handle this one, she decided over female affairs afterall. Over his shoulder, he whispered to Aeren,

"If we get any more wolves in this pack I'm going to explode..."

Medina could not meet Starmoon's gaze as she entered the clearing. She did, however, notice the connection between her and the new male, Brutus. It gave her some relief, but not alot. She was still worried about how Ouka and Hirian would react when her secret was out in the open.

----

Aurora restrained herself when she saw Starmoon, knowing that her mother had some things to take care of first. After a while though, she couldn't hold it in anymore. She practically bounced over to Starmoon, leapt on her and laughed happily that she had returned.

----

Kurano followd Ouka with his head raised; he was eager to see his parents and sisters again.

Kirano followed Ouka, his head and tail down in shame.

Kioko jumped on StarMoon aswell,both because she didn't want to be left out, and because she was happy that the blue wolf was back.
"We missed you! Why'd you leave?"

StarMoon played with the pups, but when the question came up, she paused.
"Uhm...To think."

Kioko almost laughed.
"But Kirano's always thinking, and he doesn't run off."

Brutus laughed at the pups. He adored little ones and their willingness to say anything.

Aeren laughed,

I wouldn't speak too soon now. With the way this pack is expanding, it looks like you're going to be a king my friend. I'll have Maple fashion you up a crown soon!"

StarMoon managed to slip out of the pups' playfight, leaving them fighting each other. She walked back beside Brutus and sat down, watching the pups with an aching heart, but she was smiling at their cuteness.
I will probably never see my own pups....
