Jessa looked up just in time to see the charging bear. She scampered backwards with fear, but instead of getting away from the bear, she just hit the back wall of the den. She was trapped. She was cornered into this small den. She wimpered and then let out a loud yelp.
Javon lifted his head quickly. His ears tilted towards the noise he had just heard. He new that yelp. It was Jessa. His heart began racing. He turned around to see a bear charging at their den. Terror ran through his body. JESSA! He started to his feet and went to run to help her as a ball of fur flashed in front of him.
Corval heard the yelp and automatically went into action. He saw the bear and his chance. This was it. If he could save Jessa, maybe the other wolves would be more willing to accept him. He lept to his feet and dashed at the bear. He pounced at the bear and grabbed a hold of its neck with his teeth. He bit hard and shook his head, trying to tear the bear's throat, but it was hard to do. The bear had thick fur and a large neck.
