She yelps when each wolf starts to attack, but she quickly leaped at the male and attempted a death bite to the throat. Then she fell to the ground with a THUD and looked up at the wolves.

Shadow snarled down at the loner as she looked up at them. She had been close to a death bite, and that had him a little shaken up. He had an image of Rain raising the pups without him, and shook it off. "What's your name?" he asked, still growling.

Shadow's ears pricked up, hearing Rain's yelp from inside the den. He paused, staring from Ivy to Chardonnay, and raced away, ducking into the den.

Ivy's ears perk because of a nearby yelp. She sees the male race toward the den and then looks up at the other wolf. This is my chance! I can escape! She runs into the forest, panting heavily and running very fast. When she reaches the forest, she faints from she was so scared and tired.
