Rain smiled a little at Corval and Javon as she slipped back into her den, nudging the two pups away from the entrance and lying down next to them.

Shadow stretched out near the den entrance, where he could keep an eye on Rain and the pups but still be immediately available if there happened to be more trouble, though he really didn't think there would be. Javon and Corval seemed to no longer be at each other's throats at least, and they seemed to have respect for each other. Even if it was very little.

Corval went to leave. He had no place here. Javon, uncle or not, wouldn't let a threat to his pack in. Corval knew that. Although, Corval would never hurt any of them, the pack would still feel endangered he was sure.

Javon went to go to his den, but then something changed his mind. Even though, he knew it would be a risk, he realized it was right. He turned back to Corval who was now leaving. "Stay, Corval. You are my nephew after all." 

Corval turned and stared at the Alpha. It took him a minute to start movement again, but he strolled back to Javon. "Thank you." And the alpha just smiled.

Shadow watched the interaction between the loner and alpha, and smiled to himself. It had been an eventful day, what with the she-wolf loner, Rain's pups, and now Corval appearing. The sun beat down on his black coat and he put his head on his paws. But he kept his ears pricked for the slightest sound. He still didn't totally trust Corval, though he wasn't about to attack him.

In the den, Rain curled up with the two pups, who were asleep. She listened to the faint conversation outside, Javon's and Corval's, that was. She didn't like what she heard. Though she was usually friendly to other wolves, she wasn't about to trust Javon's nephew one bit. She had a bad feeling, having him around her pack. Her pack included her pups, and, if she had any say in it, Corval wouldn't come within yards of them until either he proved himself or they could sufficiently fight.

Javon knew that having Corval here would be work. Corval wasn't trusted here by anyone, including Javon. He would have to prove himself to the pack. Javon knew he needed to lay down rules, and now. "Corval."

"Yes?" Corval recognized Javon's look. His father had used the same look before. Here comes the rules. 

"In a pack, there is love and acceptance, but they won't be willing to give either to a wolf that has no reason to have such. You need to behave. That means you pay mind to any and all wishes of the other members here. If you don't you have to answer to me and Shadow, and I promise that won't be pretty." Javon gave Corval a warning glare. "Now, I'm sure Shadow and Rain will feel as I do about Jessa when it comes to their pups. We will protect them with our lives. I want you to stay away from Jessa and FAR away from Rain's pups. Got it. Your den is that one over there. Yes, it's far from the others, but it's in best interest for all of us until you can be trusted here. You will hunt with Mei in the mornings. I trust she will keep good watch on you. I know she could take you down if need be. Watch yourself, pup."

Corval gave a look of disgust when he heard Javon use the name pup on him. "I'm no pup," he muttered. 

Javon shook his head. "Here, in this pack, with me, you are until you learn what pack life is about. You are learning just like Jessa is and just like Rain's pups will. Now, go to your den. I have to go see Jessa. She's been alone much too long."

Shadow watched Javon lecture the loner, silently agreeing with everything he said. When Javon resigned to find Jessa, he tensed. He'd rather have Javon there with Corval relatively free to roam the territory, but if he knew if anything happened he could handle it.

"Watch your attitude around here," Shadow called to Corval, sitting up. "Javon's the alpha; his word is law."

Javon slipped into his den, but he kept near the entrance, ready to come out if Corval tried to pull anything. Javon looked at Jessa. She was lying on the floor of the den, asleep. He smiled, and a warm and comfortable stance came to him. He looked more compassionate than mighty now. She looked peaceful. If only he felt easy enough to be as peaceful as she was. Unfortunately, he had to keep an eye out. Corval still couldn't be trusted. Javon laid down in the den opening, his eyes still watching Corval's every move.

Corval turned to Shadow when he heard the wolf make a comment. "Attitude. Ha. As if that was an attitude! I could be worse.." Corval sneered at Shadow as he went to slink into his new den.

Shadow watched Corval slip into the den and rolled his eyes. The wolf would have to learn his place in the pack, and he would in time. Standing, he walked into his den to see the three wolves inside asleep. The two pups drastically contrasted each other; deep black against snow-white, with Rain's silver coat curled around them.

Lying down on his belly, he let himself relax. He watched his mate and pups sleeping soundly before drifting off into a light sleep himself.

Ivy wpke up and Noticed that she had been knocked out for quite some time. She had all of her strength back, But the fear was still here. Why? She got up and trotted further into the forest. Now it was barley light. She winced when she saw the stream in witch her mother: a bear: was killed by hunters. She shook it off and continued on. Ivy sensed she was coming very close the that pack territory. She decided to see what was going on. When she left, That male ran into the den to his mate. She trotted fearlessly into the cklearing and saw all pack members and 1 unknown wolf by the den. She let out a low growl.

Javon jumped to his feet when he heard a low growl near the dens. "Corval..." He muttered under his breath. Then, as he came out of his den, he saw the loner shewolf from earlier. He let out a low growl. "What are you doing here?" 

Corval turned at the sound of a growl.  He saw a shewolf had enter the pack's den area. Javon came running out of his den. Corval debated whether he should help or not. He sighed. He had to help. It was the only way to be trusted here. Corval let out a growl and crept towards the she wolf with Javon.

Chardonnay's ears flicked at a sudden sound, but she dared not turn her head. Something larger landed flat on top of her and she felt a sharp pain in her neck. She yelped, but the attacker dug his fangs in deeper.

Ivy froze in her tracks and looked at the ground, still growling. Then she visiously looks up with her teeth bared at each wolf. Last time she was here she fought for no reason and now she has a reason. She's jeolous. She always wanted pups, but never met a wolf who loved her. Her now blood shot eyes glare at the male wolf, Shadow, with fierceness, ready for a fight. "Those pups...," she muttered under her breath to low for anyone to hear.

Corval noticed where Ivy's eyes lead to. He moved in next to Shadow, positioning himself in front of Rain's den. He slowly inched towards Ivy as he let out a low growl. "What is it you want?" It was weird for him, acting like this. He had never protected other wolves before. He only had interest in himself until now.

Javon noticed Corval move. He noticed Corval getting quite close to the pup's den. It angered him a little until he noticed Corval's intent was to protect them from the she wolf. Javon was sure to stay in between the she wolf and his own den. Jessa was in there, and he needed to be sure she was safe.
