Javon turned his eyes from Jessa as the shewolf ran away. For a moment he wondered why she ran, until he smelt blood. He recognized the blood. It took him a minute to run through his mmind to figure out why he remembered the scent. Then, he remembered. "Chardonnay!"
He looked at Jessa. "Follow orders from Shadow. I will be back." Jessa nodded at her father. She sat and watched him run out of the clearing. She was proud of her father for being a strong leader.
Javon ran fast, following the scent of Chardonnay's blood. He finally found her. She was hurt badly. He bent down beside her. "Chardonnay?" Great concern filled the eyes of the mighty leader.
Corval watched the she wolf leave. He ran after her for a bit, until she was far enough away from the dens. Then, he turned back and headed home. When he got there, he noticed Javon had gone and that Jessa was sitting right in front of Javon's den. Corval didn't dare go near his cousin. He didn't feel like angering his uncle, especially not after he had been so close to the pup's den moments earlier. He then decided that he should apologize for disobeying the rules and nearing the pups. He walked up to Shadow, his head low. "I'm sorry, Shadow. I shouldn't have been so close to your pups. I just wanted to protect them..."
