((Sorry for posting late, my computer crashed)) Mist padded through the forest silently but swiftly. She took in all the scents around her, most of them being that of the dark, moist ground beneath her. Mist looked right suddenly. She had caught the scent of a deer. Mist charged in the direction of the scent, she was definately not going to miss this opportunity for a meal. She burst into a small clearing and sure enough, there was a small deer nibbling away at the long grass. Mist lowered herself and began creeping towards the deer. When Mist was close enough to the deer she stopped. She tensed her back legs and moved back a step. Mist then leapt at the deer, her mouth wide open and aiming for the neck. The deer barely had time to even think about running. Mist clamped down on the deers neck and shook her head violently. Soon the deers body went limp and Mist let go. The deer had hardly reached the floor before Mist started eating. It wasn't alot, but Mist needed all the food she could get.

Kinte flattened his ears. "I.. Ivy! Wait!" he cried, but she was already gone. "I.. I didn't mean to snap like that..." he said quietly to himself. She sat down by the water and started to cry.

{{{I am so sorry that I haven't been that active. It's been hard to get on a computer with so much homework and graduation stuff and recovery and my son. I am trying. Really.}}} Javon circled Chardonnay. He had to think of the best way to move her and he needed to think fast. He could see the blood streaming from her. He kept calm and devised a plan. He looked to Corval. "Ok. You get under her hind. I will get under her shoulders. We will have to get under her at the same time and lift her at the same time. We got to be very careful. We don't want to hurt her further. Then we will get her to the dens. Mei can take a look after her there" The two wolves then carefully slid themselves under Chardonnay's body. The lifted her and trotted to the dens. There, they gently laid her down and Corval went to get Mei. |

Mist swallowed down the last scraps of meat from the deer and licked her lips. She had left nothing but the bones. Mist's muzzle was now a light shade of red. She shook for no reason and then began walking off. She was thirsty and could here the trickle of water nearby. Mist turned around and walked in the direction of the sound. When Mist reached the stream she lowered herself and lapped up the cool water eagerly. She barely noticed another wolf a few meters away from her that was sitting down. |

Ivy faintly heard Kinte call her name, and then mutter something she couldn't quite understand. She sucked it up and licked tears off her nose and whiskers. She looked up and saw a she-wolf little ways away. She stared at her for a long minute, then started drinking the water from the stream. She looked back to the forest where she met Kinte, then back at her reflection in the water.

Mist lifted her head from drinking and looked around. She stood up when she saw another wolf nearby. She looked way and thought for a few minutes. She desperately wanted to greet the she-wolf, but she couldn't sum up the courage to. She turned away and slowly began walking off. |

Ivy lifted her head and watched the wolf leave. She wanted to run up to the wolf and say Hi. But she didn't. She couldn't. But she was so upset. She needed someone to talk to. Only if she knew where her mother was. Her tail wagged at the thought.

Mist stopped. That she-wolf had looked upset. Mist turned around again and walked over to the she-wolf. "Uhm.... hi," Mist said quietly when she reached the wolf, "You looked upset, are you alright?" Mist's blue eyes were full of interest as she looked at the she-wolf.

Ivy's drooped eyes carefully looked up at the she-wolf. "H- Hi..." She attempted to choke out. "I... uh... I don't know. I'm fine. I guess." She really doesn't like to talk about stuff like this. But she might have to. "No. I'm not fine" She sighed.

Mist sat down. "Why is that?" She asked. Mist's confidence was growing. Her voice was a little louder. Mist flicked her ears curiously and cocked her head a little to the right.

Ivy looked up at her. She faintly smiled, glad to have someone to talk to. But then her smile faded and she said, "Well... I met this wolf, and he seemed really nice, We talked for a long time. Then I smelt blood on him. Wolf blood." A chill ran down her spine. "And I asked him why I smelt it... and he got mad and yelled at me, so I left. I really didn't mean to get him mad.

Mist listened intently as the she-wolf spoke. "Wolf blood?" Mist asked, "Hmm.." Mist thought. She only knew one time when a wolf had another wolf's blood scent on it. She narrowed her eyes for a second. "Do you know if he tried to explain it at all?"

Ivy shook her head beck and forth slowly. "No. I don't think so. He just started to... yell at me. Like he was worried that I would find out about something." She sighed. It felt nice to be talking to a wolf about her day. This doesn't happen often.

"Oh.." Mist said, "I don't like the sound of that." Mist stood up and turned towards the water. She lowered her body down and lapped up a small drink. She lifted herself up and turned back towards the she-wolf and sat down. |
