I'm sorry for creating a problem with my idea of having Amethyst switch later on. :I  If this is going to be a problem she can just stick to bad guys so we know who's permanently going to be there at least.

No, that's...fine. Because your backstory makes sense with that.
It just doesn't make sense for good guys and bad guys to keep changing their mind.
