Rio had arrived at the academy early. The blue building was looming over him, almost intimidating, but he waved the feeling off. After all, after Rio, trailed Jenaro, his hyperactive Flygon. Jenaro's eyes darted around, excited to be somewhere new for once. Mister Solemir was standing in front of the building, looking positively jovial. "Hello there---" He checked his list "Rio! It's good to see you." He said heartily, grabbing Rio's hand and shaking it. Rio nodded awkwardly. "It's my... pleasure, Mister Solemir." He said, quickly letting go of the old man's hand. The headmaster waved his hand on the ground. "Please, sit!" He insisted. "We'll be gathering over here." Rio did as he was told and sat uncomfortably on the ground, while Jenaro stared at Mister Solemir in a peculiar way.

Hikari hopped off her Altaria. "Thank you for the ride, Bliss!" She said cheerfully. Bliss crooned back, nuzzling Hikari. "Aw, you're too cute." Hikari chuckled and patted Bliss. The Altaria chirped happily, as Hikari got out the Pokéball that had a sticker of a cloud on it. "In you go, Bliss!" As Bliss returned to the Pokéball, Hikari got out another one, one with a sticker of fire. "Out, Styx." Said Hikari, as the Houndoom shot out. He howled happily, covering Hikari in affectionate licks. "Alright, I'm glad to see you too!" She laughed as they approached the academy. A blue-haired boy was already there, sitting on the ground with his Flygon. "Welcome, welcome, Hikari!" Mister Solemir's merry voice boomed. "Please, sit down to dear Rio here!" He gestured at the lazy looking boy. Hikari obeyed and sat next to Rio, waving a friendly hello to both Mister Solemir and Rio.

The Academy was huge, Lissa decided as she stared at the giant blue building. Sure, the pamphlet she’d (or rather, her parents) had gotten came with a map, but still… Things were just never really accurately represented in maps. “Wooow,” she breathed, dragging out the word, a bad habit of hers. “Amazing…”

“Wile,” Mawile scoffed from next to her. Lissa looked down at the steel-type and shook her head.

“Just you wait, Mawile,” she said, looking back up and craning her neck so that she could see further, standing on her tiptoes while simultaniously pulling at the skirt of her dress in an almost self-conscious way. “This’ll be awesome!”

“Skar!”

A giant metal bird swooped out of the sky and landed at the entrance, carrying with it a boy. The boy slid off of the bird and stood next to it, keeping one hand on its neck. The Skarmory looked around the place dispas.sionately, not even deigning to snort at the sight of a girl trying her best to seem much taller than she really was (and failing miserably at it), or the one of two people sitting next to each other on the ground. The Skarmory scanned the area, then sat, setting to work on preening his feathers. Quinn sighed. “Mister Solemir?” he asked cautiously, looking at the old guy.

“So, this is the place,” Eri murmured, fingering the Pokeballs at her waist. There were already several people there, she noticed; two boys and two girls. The old man that stood there was likely a teacher, probably the ‘Mister Solemir’ that her notification had said was the principal of this Academy.

She tugged at her hat for a moment to shift it into a looser, more comfortable position on her head, before silently walking up to stand in front of the teacher, waiting for instructions.
