Curse that wizard Howl Name: Sakura Age: 15 Gender: Female history: has a heart so pure that her memories take the shape of feathers. they make a pair of wings that allow sakura to travel between demnsions... shining or shadow: neither but shifting to shadow Special ability: cross dimensions or teleport small distances to places she has been before. Past: a mysterious girl whose parents were found and stripped of their powers. Sakura at the time was 5 and showed no signs of magic so the humans had adopted her. when she was 10 her powers began to show and the people planned to take them frome her. the night befor she was supposed to be killed, a sorceress kidnapped the sleepy Sakura, taking her to her castle high on the snow crested mountain peaks of the Wastes. Looks:  this out fit.  this face

(you may choose "neither"): Shadow PERSONALITY (No one-word answers, please): A very evil and twisted child, Cielenvoye ( known as Ciel most of the time) enjoys torture, maiming, and of course, spells, as.sited by her little black cat which has no name. Looks innocent, but really not. PAST (if you care to disclose): Cielenvoye never knew her parents, leaving her vulnerable to numerous spell castors that populate the woods where she grew up. Fortunately for her, several imps found her and immediately recognized her potential as a witch. Now she's 12, and her mind is so twisted and evil, even some Shadow Wizards flinch if they happen to read her mind. SPECIAL SKILLS (just "magic" is too broad): Good with nature ( specifically felines and canines), she uses her powers to twist the creatures she interacts with, to do her bidding. OTHER: Her cat is her faithful servant. Puss by day, some wild feline by night. pure black. And NO, she has no witchy hat and stuffz.

((I'm starting...getting bored.)) How do you feel in dreams? Do you breathe? Do your nerves pick up on the edges of reality? The small town of Market Chipping was bustling with activity; people were hurrying around, bartering for this and that beneath the warm spring sun. The cloudless sky was a deep, everlasting blue, and the ocra cobblestones baked in the heat. Bright dresses, crisp suits, and flamboyant hats filled the streets as the wealthy bustled through the warm streets. A mother and child hurried out of the hat shop, and the child's eye wandered to the hills bordering on the Wastes.
A great castle, just a pinprick in the eye of the boy, hurried into the cover of the clouds encircling the cold and barren hills.
The boy gasped, but his rushing mother pulled him along by the hand - she didn't even see the castle as it lumbered out of sight. --- High on the hills around Market Chipping, Calcifer was hard at work in the hearth of the moving castle. He grumbled as he forced the castle to pick up speed to climb the rough edge of a small but jagged moutain. It wasn't like anyone was following them...there was no reason he should have to expend so much energy to force the castle along at such speed. Then, a voice from nowhere snapped Calcifer into a more obedient mood: "Brace yourself, Cal - they've caught us!" As Calcifer wheeled the castle around as fast as he could, Howl clung to the lip of the tallest smokestack on the castle's back. Boulders were sent tumbling down the mountain as the castle struggled for footing on the sheer face of stone; Howl gripped the stack tightly as inertia tugged at him. Finally, the castle ground to a halt and settled onto its belly, becoming a formidable fortress as its only knight stood up on the smokestack.
Howl extended his right hand, pointing down the hill at the small group of creatures hurrying up to his castle. With a twitch of his index finger, a mas.sive bolt of lightning dropped from the clouds encircling the mountain peak, striking the ground just before the band of creatures and sending up a spray of rock. ((Those creatures are shadow- OR shining-folk. I don't care which one - whoever posts next gets to choose. Just remember - Shadows are after Howl's magic, and Shining are after his protection. Sort of.))

((Shadow!)) Cielenvoye giggled as she rubbed her hands nastily. "This might get a wee bit fun" She whispered to her cat, as it busily groomed it's whiskers. Silently calling for a stag, she waited for the sound of galloping hooves to near. When at last, Cielenvoye could hear those hoof beats, she reached for the magic, and with the air of a bored child, twisted the link. A sudden scream wrenched through the forest, echoing nastily. Finally, a jet black stag appeared, so different from the gentle, trusting tan one from before. The good in the creature was obliterated, hidden. Laughing, Ciel vaulted onto the stag. "Hurry along, there's much to do"

(not shadow yet) Sakura was watching the moving castle in wonder. She so badly wanted to see inside, to see who had made such an interesting contraption. Just then a screech she had heard so many times before sounded. "No! I have to see inside." she quickly stood up, closed her eyes and pictured the castle ledge. slowly her wings unfolded, wings that were dark red with magic, and faded into her surroundings. She opened her eyes, she had made it! she jumped up on the castle and knocked on the door.

"Howl!" Calcifer called up the smokestack as he sensed an intruder outside the castle. "Get down here! Oh, where is Sophie...? I need more wood! Hey, stop dawdling! We're in an awfully big pinch right now, sas.safras!" In a flurry of pink, Howl leaped from his perch as another three-pronged bolt of lightning incinerated the area where the scattered creatures were running; he hovered gracefully down the contour of his castle until he landed neatly on the roof of the ledge where Sakura was standing, knocking on the castle's side door. He arched a thin black eyebrow at the other Enchanter - what was she thinking? He put out his right hand silently, then placed his middle finger and thumb together, rotated his wrist, and drew his hand up in a small vertical line.
The door trembled, then vanished as if it had been zipped up into the wall. "Who are you?" Howl asked smoothly, his voice betraying none of the concern or suspicion he felt. In clas.sic Howl fashion, the wizard was stretched comfortably on the roof, and a bit of the clouds had cleared to allow the sun to shine down onto the castle (thus reflecting off of Howl's silky black hair). "Casanova." Calcifer grumbled from inside, his voice echoing out through a nearby chimney in the hodge-podge castle.

Sakura jumped at the sound of a voice, and almost fell off the side of the castle, luckily she caught the railing before she could fall. She looked up to see a young man with black hair staring down at her. Although he showed no emotion, Sakura could still feel his anxiety. She didnt like being looked down on so she closed her eyes and unfolded her wings. Sakura dissapeared just to appear behind thee wizard. "I'm Sakura, and you are?" she said, her voice soft as well with a hint of curiosity.

"Horrible Howl." Calcifer's voice echoed bluntly from the chimney. "Howl. JUST Howl." The wizard glared at the chimney and pointed at it; instantly, the stack began to dissolve into the castle, and just as as Calcifer began frantically asking what Howl was doing, the chimney vanished, silencing the fire demon. ((Alright, off to Prom. Don't do anything more than the intro posts for now, okay? And emerald can respond...I just don't want this to get carried away without me. See you later tonight!))

Cooing at the twisted stag, Cielenvoye pushed a tendril of magic into the stag. Immediately, as if they were always there, were black dragon wings. Giggling, the girl kicked the stag's haunches, hard. "Hurry up to the castle m'dear, we have a small appointment with little mister log at that moving castle" Galloping, the stag spread it's wings clumsily and began to fly, albeit in a round-about way, towards the castle, with it's demon rider grinning like a Cheshire cat.

She gave a little start when yet another voice came from the chimney. Sakura recognized the sound after a second though. "You have a fire demon. Such a pretty sight, and their voices are so..." Her voiced trailed off as her wings unfolded, and she glowed a dull red, the same color as her eyes at the moment, as she fell to the roof.

Cantering, the stag stopped abruptly at the castle. Sliding off, Cielenvoye knocked on the castle door, feeling excitement she never had felt in ages. Taking a small comb out of her cape, Cielenvoye brushed her wavy hair excitedly, purple eyes taking in everything.

Sakura landed on the floor hard crying out in both surprise and pain. As she looks around, a little disoriented she sees everything in a tinge of red. "Dang, not again... umm hello, is anyone there?" As sakura spoke her eyes changed back to the normal green color, but as they did her vision faded to black. Not knowing what was around her scared her and she started to cry, unable to stop. Confused and distracted, Sakura barely felt the strong magic force headed towards the castle.

Gazing worriedly, Cielenvoye tried once more, "Uhm.. Esteemed Fire Demon and Howl, are you home?" Letting her fingers wander slowly to the pendant hidden in her cloak, she clutched it, feeling the pulse of the stag's goodness beating slowly. Let them come and capture me. I will try anyways and become an Apprentice. "No one will stop me." She whispered, for once, feeling like the child she was.

((Yeah, and stop powerplaying. And you guys do remember that Shadow Enchanters work for the King, right? Shining Enchanters are in hiding.)) The sound of tinkling bells filled the castle as Howl appeared, in a gust of wind, before the hearth. Eyes blazing unhappily, he snapped his fingers and pointed at Calcifer. Instantly, the fire demon blazed up into the chimney, turning from his usual reddish-orange to a much hotter, brighter, scarier bluish-white. The castle was enveloped in a cloak of darkness, leaving Howl, the cooling Calcifer, and Sakura standing in nothingness. "Tsk, tsk. Everyone is so eager to get inside my castle." Howl said darkly; he vanished into the blackness until only his face showed; the rest of him was nothing but a pair of huge ebony wings and a twisting m*censored* of black feathers. "And I appreciate my privacy, if you don't mind." With that, the swallowlike wizard flew forward, enveloping Sakura in blackness until, after a suffocating moment, the outside of the castle appeared again, this time with the girl resting on the ground beside it. Unceremoniously, the castle got to its feet, pulling the front door away from Ciel. From a small hole beside the door, Calcifer's tired voice was heard: "No one's home." The castle began lumbering north, turning away from the two female Enchanters and heading up the steep mountain pas.s slowly. Howl was perched atop the tallest smokestack, the wind ruffling his hair, which had suddenly turned from black to bright blonde... --- Calcifer hunkered down between the logs, peering up the smokestack at the dot that was his master. "You shouldn't as.sume that form anymore." He said warily, sparking up uneasily as he spoke, "You won't be able to turn back into a human again if you keep it up." "I know what I should and shouldn't do, Calcifer." Howl reminded the demon gently, his voice low despite the chilly winds whipping around him. "This war is getting thick. Shadow Enchanters are around every corner. This castle is too iconic. We need to move into the Wastes for a while, I think." The castle lumbered on through the mountain pas.s, carefully avoiding trees and wild animals per Calcifer's movements.

Caliope's eyes glittered with delight as she spotted the castle rumbling off in the distance. How wonderful it would be, if she could get ahold of some of the wizard Howl's magic!In the bl
ink of an eye the fallen angel had unfolded her wings, lifting off into the cool air. She loved the rush of the wing against her skin, the smell of the trees rushing to greet her as she took flight. |

(( Oh yes, I know. I was thinking along the lines of demonic little child attempting murder, but the little child fails. And er.. that ends my confused babbling)) Snarling, Cielenvoye glared at the door, kicked it twice for good measure, then snapped her fingers imperiously. "Come one you worthless stag. Let's go and find some imps." Clambering on the stag, Cielenvoye thought Darnit. There goes my murder attempt. Mama and Papa will be sooooo mad. Several hours later, Cielenvoye arrived at her dilapidated shack, and touching the stag, drained it's evilness, allowing the power of hatred and evil to seep into her childish face. Huffing, Cielenvoye called to her cat, "Kitty? It's dinner time! Come here!" with a soft mew, the cat padded over to Cielenvoye and rubbed it's head against her stocking. Shaking her head in disgust, Cielenvoye slinked slyly through the tree's, hoping for some interesting prey.
