Ven darted to the pond hurridly. He could hear growls and hissing and he began to worry. When he arrived at the area where he met Winter Ven saw Kvior corned by a much larger, pure black lion. Upon Ven's arrival, the black lion tilted his head in Ven's direction. When the bigger lion saw Ven fear could be seen in his eyes, all animals knew about Ven and his powers, even the dark ones. For a second the lion hesitated, then decided the small lion wasn't worth it and scampered away.
Ven explained to Kvior what he missed while they headed back to the others.

Sara jumped down from the rocks and scratched her back. "Those are unusual 'talents'." She looked down at the cheetah, still somewhat scared. She whistled loudly. No more than ten seconds later, her pet came flying down, landing gracefully on her shoulder. Sara scratched Lone's head and Lone rubbed up against her cheek. "This is Lone," she said, now scratching the bird's chest.

"Lone is a great horned owl," Sara said proudly, stroking his head. Lone looked at Winter and let out a small hoot. "He's very intelligent. He takes care of himself, but looks to me for affection." She smiled and put her hand to her side, only to find Lone picking at her earring, wanting more attention.

Winter looked at Lone "there's a song about them right?"she asked remembering a song she had once heard.Winter started to hum the tune to the song unable to remember the words .

"Yeah. The song, translated from the elven language, says that white great horned owls fly with light spirits." Sara began to lightly sing the song, matching Winter's tune.

Ven made it back to his new friends, exhausted. He let go of the cheetah's speed ability and dropped to his knees, he still wasn't used to the amount of energy it took to copy abilities since he never used his powers after his father died.

Sara ran to Ven. "Are you okay? Need to rest?" She looked at him, a bit worried. He looked exhausted. Lone flew from Sara's shoulder onto the ground in front of Ven. He let out a questioning hoot and flew back up to his perch.

Ven shook his head, unable to speak. He unsteadily got up on two feet, his legs threatening to fall from under him. Once he got up he swayed for a few seconds so he grabbed onto one of the girl's shoulders to help him balance. "I'm fine." he finally choked out.
