Sumnor put his hands in the pockets of his trousers and chuckled drily, smiling at makura. "Yes, actually, and that's a connection people don't tend to make. The plague vampire species were murderers, brutes... They would kill those they fed on, and the ones they didn't kill were infected with what you call the 'Black Death' which suffice it to say we weren't too happy about."

He shook his head slightly to get his hair out of his face, agreeing entirely with what Neil said about the smell. "We waged war on these sorry excuses for night walkers not long after the outbreak, though it took so long to completely wipe clean their existence." he rubbed his chest, where, under the shirt, lay a long, wide scar. "I have souveniers of those battles, they were both brutal and brilliant... Many of us died those days, though they were nobel deaths."
