Alex ran out of the cave, almost tripping on a rock. "I don't see any" he whined.

"Thats because they are hard to see in the trees." Rainstorm replied, "Now look really closly at the trees, and wait untill you see a white color, the white is their tails, and it gives them away."

Alex stared hard. "I still can't see any!" he wailed. Shasta smiled and came out slowly. "Hush up my love, I will scare one in your direction." She disapeared into the dense foliage, getting behind a deer before growling with menace, sending the deer bolting in this direction. Afraid to be trampled, Alex closed his eyes. His stone glowed and shadows froze the deer, mid-jump. Within a minute of just hanging there, the deer exploded. Meat flew into the surrounding trees and the head fell right in front of Rainstorm. "Oops." he said. |

Alex grumbled. "I can do it fine. Exploding is just as good. Keep in mind, deer are bigger than wolves. If I can explode one of them..." he trailed off darkly.

"Okay. So you imagine the shadows inside of you. And then imagine the shadows as black flames, dacing inside of you, then imagine those flames coming up, and blow the fire!" She said, lifting her head up and blowing flames into the night sky. |

Alex eagerly imagined the dark flames, writhing around the forest as they erupted from his maw. The flames flew out of Alex's mouth like wild fire, burning through the trees in a straight path to the lake.
