"Hear what?" Clover asked curiously.

"It sounds like..." He shivered, "Someone laughing...." The noise came again, louder this time.  And  shadowed figure came out of the forest, still laughing.  "Why hello there!" The creature said in a voice like a snarl, "What are you two doing all alone?"  The figure looked cat like, and half of his face was scarred up, and he had a butcher knife attached to his tail.  But the really scary part, is that one of his eyes was normal and green, but the other, was red and looked like a snake, and that side of his face also had sharper, demented looking teeth.

"Stranger Danger!" Clover screamed at the top of her lungs. Thorns shot up around her and Swift and blocked the rest of the den from the scary figure. "Come on! We have to warn Shasta and the others!" Clover screeched louder than necessary.

Shasta sat bolt upright as she heard her daughter's scream. She went to rush out of the den, but found her path blocked with thorns. She howle dloudly, waking everyone up.

Flare went over to his mother. "What's wrong mom?" he asked curiously as Shasta began to slash at the thorns, to no avail. She was only wounding herself. Without waiting for an answer, Flare's crystal glowed and the wall of thorns burst into flames, searing his mother's nose.

Immediately, Shasta rushed out, Alex in tow. She saw a circle of thorns around Clover and Swift, thankful that they were safe. 

Rainstorm also ran out of the cave, "What has happened?!" She exclamed, before anyone could answer, the demented laughing started again.

"You have to do better then that!" the snarl voice said, and soon there was a hole in the thorns, a knife had gone through them, the hole became larger as he slashed away at the thorns, "Heeerreess SLASHER!" He laughed.

Clover hissed as the plants whithered and died under Slasher's blades.

Alex growled, and his crystal began to glow as he charged towards Slasher. Suddenly, shadowy flames erupted from his mouth, his anger adding to their power as the flames hurled in Slasher's direction, in between Clover and him. 

Shasta immediatly took up a position in front of Clover and Swift, nudging them into the den swiftly. As soon as they were safe however, Iceblink and Flare weren't. They bounced out of the den excitedly, their crystals glowing. The tree Slasher was in burs into flames, and the ground of the wholescene turned white with slippery ice from Iceblink. 

Alex, seeing his siblings too slow to dadge the knives, conjeured up shadows to repel each one back in Slasher's direction.

Shasta felt utterly helpless. "Rainstorm, feed Alex power, he's only a pup, he'll drain of energy quickly" she yelled urgently. 

Slasher deflected each of the knifes with his butcher-knife tail.

Rainstorm nodded, and closed her eyes, and transfurred as much engery that would be safe to give to Alex.  She opened her eyes, panting.

Alex suddenly felt renewed, and he smiled evilly. He concentrated on his shadow, and within a second, he reappeared behind Slasher, knocking him forward onto the slippery ground. He jumped down from the tree and pinned him down, two paws at the base of his neck and two just below the butcher knife on his tail.

Shasta transferred feelings of helplessness to Slasher in hopes he would give in to Alex's strong hold.

Glare and Iceblink rushed forward to help pin Slasher down.

Aaron was bursting with pride. His pups. 

The four wolf pups with Rave and their parents circled Slasher with glimmering eyes and glowing crystals.

 The air from Aaron's crystal squeezed Slasher's airways almost closed, but not enough to kill him. Electricity from Rave's crystal crackling at his feet, drawn naturally to the metal cleaver on Slasher's tail. Shasta's emotions were overwhelming and strong, and overall they were confusing. Clover, having rejoined the group, made thorny branches tight around Slasher's limbs. Flare made his fire swim around Slasher's face, burning his eyes. Iceblink shot ice shards towards Slasher, propelled by his father's air. And Alex's shadows were biting anywhere that remained unharmed by the other elements.

Slasher, hissed and snarled, then he smiled a smile that would haunt anyones dreams, and started to giggle, then laughed louder and louder, even though he was in terrible pain.

Swift narrowed his eyes, something about Slasher, made him angry, his eyes started to turn red, and he started to snarl, Slasher!  He thought to himself, for some reason hating the word, it was the only thing he ever actually hated, suddenly, he started to grow bigger, scales replacing his claws, and he turned into his were-deamon form, even though it was not night.  He roared loudly and got ready to charge at Slasher.
