Rainstorm nodded. "I shall do that later." She replied, trying not to clench her teeth with pain. "Hm.. I could use someone like you in my organization.." She said, thinking for a few seconds, "When I get other members you could give them tattoos to show that they are members. It will give you immunity against any predators, since they know not to mess with... 'friends' of mine.."

Basil's fur bristled slightly, instantly cautious of this wolf. "What kind of organization are we talkin' about" she said, inching backwards slightly.

Rainstorm tapped the black crystal on her head. "It's for gifted animals like us. Since most other animals seem to shun us, we should try to show them that we have feelings and emotions too." She smiled, "It's nothing bad. I just call it 'organization' because I don't have a name for it yet."

Rainstorm sighed. "I suppose you are right. However, it still doesn't make the hurt of being shunned by your family any different.." She blinked, realizing that she had gone into her personal life without realizing. "Oh, sorry about that, I didn't mean to give out anything about myself.." She said awkwardly.

Basil looked down. She was glaring at the ground, drowned in memories. She looked up sharply when Rainstorm apologized. "Oh...? You didn't now?" She felt more sly now. She puffed her fur slightly. "You ask for my information and don't mean to give away your own?" Perhaps she was over-analyzing, but she was suspicious. There was no reason not to go with the wolf, other than that she could be eaten of course, like chicken little; or whichever other story had wolves in it.

Rainstorm sighed, shrugging. "What I meant to say was you probably don't want to know anything about me I suppose." She replied, then shook her head. "The pain tolerating spell must be messing with my head.." She muttered under her breath. "I can't think straight."

Basil's tail twitched. "I'd actually be very interested to learn of your past, ad I'd be glad to tell you mine as well once you get your head on straight. I suspect that my crystal interfered with yours when you did the spell; what power does your crystal have?" she asked "I have never seen a black crystal before."

Rainstorm sighed, sitting herself. She closed her eyes a few seconds, sorting her thoughts. "Okay.. here is how it goes.. When I was born, I was born with my odd coloration and crystal. My Father at first did not want to keep me, but my Mother decided to because I was her only pup. They named me Rainstorm because they felt like I was a dangerous thing waiting to happen, like a rainstorm about to become a strong thunderstorm. As I grew older I started to learn how to control my shadow powers. One day, I went exploring with one of my only friends in the pack, even though he was less intelligent then me, and I lost control of my powers, accidently killing him. So I fled from the pack, knowing the penalty for killing a pack member without cause is getting killed yourself. I then found a special book that told me how to control my powers, so now I can control my powers perfectly." She sighed after she finished her story, "That is it." She knew she had left a few things out, (Like the book being able to talk to her.) but she decided that those things are better left unsaid.

"I have a similar past I suppose, but not nearly so interesting." Basil said. "I was born to a litter of five, but the others were all still births, I think because of my crystal. My father had already left the family, being one of those less intelligent folks, and my mother was not really sure what to do with me. She considered me a curse because I caused her other babies to die, and she sort of let me fend for myself. She called me Basil because she said I smelled funny all the time, but I didn't care. One day, I woke up and she was simply gone. I never found out what happened, nor did I really care. I practiced using my electricity ability and then went into tattoo work."

((Tanu is short for Tanuki by the way. XD -fail-)) Tanu wandered through the woods, his dark brown eyes curious. This place was certainly new to him, and he quite enjoyed it. So, with a smile, he bounded through the trees, expecting to land on solid ground to bounce again, only to end up running into a wolf that was much larger than he was. He blinked up at the blue she-wolf, cocking his head in a curious, almost awed manner. "Excuse me...but...what are you?" he asked, flicking his tail, which was ringed sort of like a raccoon's. Then she glanced over to see the raccoon, ears pricking up. She was different as well, but...she looked a little like another tanuki, or raccoon dog, as the English-speaking creatures would call him. |

Basil let out a yelp of suprise when the little raccoon-dog thing burst through the trees, running hard into Rainstorm. With her yelp came a strike of lightning, narrowly missing Rainstorm herself. She lightened up when she saw that the little animal was similar to her, if not a little bigger. She bounded up to her, standing on her hind legs when she got there. "I think the proper question her is what are you?" she said, examining him.

The raccoon dog blinked at the lightning, his brown eyes wide, but not from fear. Then he looked over at the sounrce of the lightning and sat on his haunches, smiling as much as he could. "I'm a raccoon dog," he replied. "And you're the first one I've seen here that is anything like me. My name is Tanu, short for Tanuki," he told the other creature, his tail-tip twitching lightly. The creature before him fascinated him with the sheer fact they were similar, yet different. "What are you?" he asked a moment later, this time directing it towards the raccoon instead of the big blue wolf. |

"Just a raccoon." Basil said. "My name is Basil, and this is my er- acquaintance Rainstorm." She looked Tanu over. "So you're a raccoon, like me, but a wolf too?"
