((APPROVED. We like a tricky fight. :P Now we can get truly started.

Kake - you do realize that picture you posted is that of a canon character, right? His name is Zero - he's from Vampire Knight. I suggest you find a new picture.

I can't really find a way to get into these scenarios we've provided so far. :x))

OoC: huzzar >;D Now to write a less than epic entrance~

BiC: Shade lay on the ground, somewhere in the middle of what seemed to be a forest. Slowly she opened her eyes to take a second look at her surroundings. It seemed that once more, she had ended up somewhere without knowing exactly how she got there, where she was or why she was there. In slow lazy movements, Shade brought herself to her knees so that she could pick somewhere to go exploring.

The forst thing Shade noticed were the trees, they were a brilliant green colour and looked fresh and new. That meant it was probably spring time here, wherever here was. The second thing she noticed was that the gras s was soft... and also green. Which was good, because green is the colour gras s should be, unless some other alien planets had orange gras s or something like that.Shade looked into the sky, seeing it was blue and there there were a few scattered thing clouds hanging in the air she guessed that she was on earth. Which was somewhat of a relief. She was more familiar with earth than any other planet, since it was earth that the Doctor visited the most. Thre was a reason for that, mostly because earth is a fifth level planet and so dosen't have superior technology and is more likely to have alien visitor which was what the Doctor delt with. Second reason, the human race was a favourite specie of the Doctor. So he would most definately come here shortly, hopefully in the same time period that she was in right now, He would find her, then the two could continue their travels through time and space.

Shade yawned. Her head hurt now, from all the working out what planet she was on and from thinking about if or how the Doctor would eventually find her. Right now it was probably best to stay where she was. Shade never did what was best and so wandered off into the trees, stepping on all the fallen branches along the way. The snaping of twigs was a familiar sound, so it soothed her to the point where she began whistling. The wind rustling the leaves in the trees whistled back at her. Shade grinned, p[utting her arms behind her head while she carried on walking. She didn't know where she was going, or where she would end up, and that was the fun of it all.

((Hrmn, I'm considering changing the rules so I can add Shikamaru-kun. :x Urgh, I need someone to move the plot along. I think I will. *goes to edit* I'll post after I add him.

Shikamaru added. c: Check my bios, everyone. And feel free to add a second character if you would like.))

BIC|| "You know, all that noise is liable to attract attention."

The voice appeared to come from the tree nearest Shade. No other humans, or even animals, were in hearing range - but could it really be the tree?

Shikamaru chuckled low in his throat. From his position in the tree, Shade was as helpless as a kitten given milk. He didn't dare shift his body, which was tucked neatly in a small niche between three branches and buried behind a thick la
yer of green leaves and thorny twigs; his hiding spot was unrecognizable to the naked eye. The lazy Chuunin cast an eye to the sky, watching the clouds through a few spotty holes in the leaves surrounding him. What a drag - he would have to fight this girl, no doubt. Mendokuse...

((Adding Lavi~ He can move a plot 'long just fine~ Check my first post to see Lavi.))

'A girl...?' Allen's silvery eyes watched Shade through the foliage of the tree he was taking shelter in. 'I wonder if she would help me...' he was about to drop out of the tree and speak to her when Shikamaru spoke. Cursing at himself the young exorcist pressed himself flush against the bark of the tree and silenced his breathing, hoping that the shinobi would not hear him or see him.

"Moyashi~!" Allen suddenly found himself face-down on the tree branch. Someone was standing on his head, and he knew immediately who it was judging by the current circumstance and the annoying name they called him.

"Lavi...!" he cried weakly, flailing helplessly. "Get off of me...! I was thinking very hard, you know...!"

"That's a change for you. I knew I smelled something burning~" the redhead teased, removing his foot from Allen's head and allowing the other exorcist to get back on his feet. "What about?"

"It was nothing important," Allen mumbled as he turned his back on the other exorcist, slightly irritated by Lavi's lackadaisical aura. "Just...thinking," he could feel Lavi's single green eye watching him, and it was making him very uncomfortable; he'd never felt bothered like this.

"...ne, you look pretty battle-hungry, Moyashi," Allen flinched slightly as Lavi's arms slid around his middle, holding him in a warm hug. He could feel the other exorcist's heartbeat in his shoulder blades, as the hug came from behind rather than before him. Allen made an annoyed sound in his throat.

"I'm no Moyashi, I am Allen...!" he protested. A chuckle from Lavi, but nothing more. Little sound disturbed the air around them but the whistling of the wind and the soft sound of Shikamaru's voice. Allen tensed against Lavi, waiting to see if the speaker would reveal himself.

"Hmm?" Shade questioned. Her ears pricked up in search of where the voice had come from. It seemed that there was a tree talking too her. "Since when did trees talk?" Shade grumbled, annoyance crossing her face. She narrowed her eyes, trying to see if there was someone hiding up in the trees. Even having cat-like vision, she couldn't spot anyone.

That was when she heard the faint cry of something that sounded like 'moyashi' whatever that meant. her head snaped round in search of who or what made the sound. Once more she failed to see. By now, she thought that the whole forest could possibly be alive, making her have doubts about whether she was on planet earth. Her ears twitched twice as she turned to face the first tree that had spoken. "I wanna know something." She addressed the tree in a formal tone, looking up into its branches. "Am I on planet earth? Or somewhere else like Skaro or Galifrey?" Shade narrowed her eyes and coc-ked her head tothe side, that was when she noticed something hidden in the tree. The hiding spot was an excelent one, one she wouldn't of seem if she were human. Luckily having the eyesight of a cat she was able to just spot a small gap in the leaves where she could see material.

Shade purred and she moved round the tree to stand directly beneath where she thought she had seen someone. Shade crouched close to the ground in a pose like that of a wild-cat's ready to pounce.

"You don't want to be doing that, m'dear." Shikamaru's smooth voice said from behind the la
yer of leaves hiding him. "I'm not all I appear to be."

His hiding place discovered, he finally dared to shift, making himself more comfortable among the branches and twigs. In his mind, he grumbled - where was Neji? Why was he taking so long? Mendokuse, mendokuse...

"And for the record, I don't even know where we are. I as.sume we're trapped in some form of alternate reality, in which we are made to fight - the only one who escapes is the winner, or the last one standing. If that's how it's gonna be, I think staying here and not fighting at all would be a better plan than running out into a battle, guns blazing..." The lazy Chuunin crossed one leg over the other and put his hands behind his head. He was a patient waiter.

Jake moved through the forest, as sly as a fox. He heard voices and branches snapping as people walked on them. The sounds were nearby so Jake decided to check it out. He shifted into his bird form and flew in a tree that was just above the voices. There he listened quietly. He was in a pouncing position so that if there was any danger for him he could shift into a bigger animal and fight. He didn't like to fight but he would if need be.

Shade remained in the same stance, watching the stranger carefuly. The first thing he told her, sounded like a challenge. Then as he continued to speak, changing his stance so that he looked more lazy than anything, Shade decided that he wasn't looking for a fight after all, which dissapointed her slightly. She sighed, stretching, then finaly resting on her knees, still she kept an ever watchful eye on this stranger.

Shade sat in silence for a while, watching as a bird flew above them and landed in a nearby tree. Then she spoke again. "So, We've somehow ended up in an alternate reality and now everyone has to fight to escape?" Shade questioned, slightly puzzled. "And who made that rule? Isn't there something more interesting for people to do. I mean they could fight themselves instead of watching people fight. It's much more fun fighting yourself" Shade grined after thinking about fighting someone.

She looked back up at the stranger in the tree. He wasn't going to be doing much, sitting around wiating for something to happen wasn't going to be much fun either. Shade decided it was best she wandered off in search of trouble, because trouble wasn't going to find her. Then again, trouble always managed to find her somehow. Knowing that, it was probably worth staying where she was. Shade then turned to lean her back against the tree, closing her eyes.

"Alternate universe...?" Allen spoke softly, raising a hand to rest against his upper lip thoughtfully. "What on Earth have we wandered into...?"

Lavi shrugged against Allen's back as he rested his chin on his shoulder, trying hard to get a better look at the situation. Allen glanced at the redhead from the corner of his eye, and a smile came to his pale lips; Lavi was reading the entire situation, drinking it in, analyzing everything that was happening. That was this man's strength: he could read the hidden feelings and envision the elusive details about a person that others were not smart enough to see.

"What is it, Lavi...?" Allen murmured. "What do you see?"

"The girl," Lavi replied quietly, "is disappointed that there will not be a battle here. She seems to be on the run from something...trouble or Death, perhaps? She seems to be a bit sadistic...she takes delight in fighting herself and others, judging by her last comment." his gaze darted to one side as a bird's shadow flitted across the ground. "And we are being watched from above...by what, I am not sure. Only a bird, or something more?" Lavi chuckled darkly. "Nothing here is what it seems. This would be Bookman's dream come true."

"Hmm..." Allen allowed his gaze to return to the scene below them. "So then...how will we escape?"

The other exorcist was about to reply, but was cut off because he sneezed. It was a quiet sound, soft like a rabbit's sneeze, but was still loud enough that it may attract attention. Allen clamped a hand over his comrade's mouth, earning a stifled yelp from the redhead, and pushed him back against the tree.

"We'll be caught...!" he whispered in Lavi's ear. Lavi gave a weak nod of his head, keeping his single eye trained on Shade. Allen held his breath, hoping they hadn't just sparked something unpleasant...

Shade didn't move after she'd heard the sneeze. The only thing she had done was lazily half open her violet eye for a moment. She guessed it was probably the stranger sitting in a tree, or a nearby animal. Shade closed her eye, listening carefully for the sound of any animals. The only one she could hear was the bird, birds don't sneeze. Or do they? Shade begun to ponder over this, did birds sneeze? That was when she heard the hushed whisperes of people talking.

Shade's ears swivelled atop her head, searching for the location of this sound, her eyes closed the whole time. Only when she was happy that she knew exactly where the whispers had come from did she finaly open both her eyes. One bright violet sparkled with strange joy, the look a child normaly had in their eye when they had done something that deserved to be praised, the other white eye just stared blankly into the trees.

Shade still hadn't moved. Neither did she plan on doing so. If the people up in the tree knew they had been spotted, they could come down and introduce themselves in a polite manner, either that or pick a fight. Shade knew which one she would find more interesting. She yawned, relaxing once more, and rested her head back against the tree. She kept her eyes open just slightly, so that it looked as if they were closed, to keep watch on the two in the tree.

A hand closed around the bird in the tree above Shikamaru. Neji narrowed his eyes at the bird, then dropped his gaze to the others on the forest floor; from his position in the taller tree a foot or so away from the Chuunin's selected tree, he was in prime striking range of all of his enemies. Remaining absolutely silent, Neji pulled his arm back into his tree and stared into the bird's eyes before placing a finger to his lips - "Stay quiet, you filthy shapeshifter, or I'll blow your cover. You blow mine, I'll reveal you to everyone." the Hyuuga breathed, his voice barely audible to the bird a few inches from him. He then set the bird on a branch tucked in the tree and shifted, like a squirrel, to another side of the trunk, his hot gaze set on Shade.

In a silent but brilliant flash of white, the Genin dropped from the tree to land a few feet from the girl. The green markings of the Hakkeshou appeared on the ground - she was in range, and very unsafe.

Neji grinned.

"Juukenhou - Hakke Rokujuuyonshou! Gentle fist art - Eight Trigrams Sixty-four Palms!"

((Ahm, first day of school. I'll see you guys in about 9 hours. :x))

OoC: Hah, sorry I couldn't get on yesterday ^^; Personal reasons that I can't explain. I'll edit this post in a minute :3

BiC: Something told Shade to move. No. Not move, run. From what? That was when a boy landed not too far from her. Now, what was so dangerous about this boy that her mind was screaming for her to run? Then she reminded herself about where she was and about what the other boy had told her. So this one was looking for a fight, he was gonna get one.

Shade grinned and jumped to her feet with a strancge cat-like elegance. In her head there was still that little voice telling her to run, but she was ignoring it. Why should she run from a fight? Specially since the chances of her wining seemed highh. This was only a boy, he was human, humans didn't do much unless they had guns. It didn't look like he had guns, which made Shade feel confident.

Shade moved into a position where it would be easy to leap to either side if he decided to attack. She should be quick enough against a human. It was only when the boy said something that Shade didn't understand she began to feel nervous. It wasn't because she didn't understand what he said, but the strange feeling in her gut that gave her the nervous feelings. Something was telling her that the boy standing in front of her wasn't as normal as the other humans she'd met. That's when she decided to listen to the voice in her head. Probably all a bit too late.

Two fingers, glowing with crackling blue chakra, jabbed into Shade's shoulder; Neji pressed his life-force into her with this first palm and grinned like the Cheshire cat - sixty-three palms to go. He narrowed his white eyes, the veins around them swelling to accomodate the influx of chakra to his optic nerves: the Byakugan were activated, allowing him to see a complete three-hundred and sixty around him, and into the girl's body.

He arched a thin eyebrow as the second palm buried itself in Shade's right side - she wasn't human. But according to his Byakugan, she shared the life-force network that every living thing did - his sixty-four palms was bound to affect her much like it would affect a human.

This wasn't good. A sharp, strange pain flowed through her shoulder, and then again in her side. Whatever this boy was doing, it hurt. Shade's eyes narrowed to glare at the boy, her eyes narrowed fiurther, this time in pain. Shade grimaced, grinding her teeth, she wasn't going to let his first attack end everything. No. She would just have to grin and bare it, just how she was told as a child.

Shade closed her hands, turning them into fists. That's when the long metalic claws slowly drew out from the white scars on her knucles. Then Shade attempted to attack the boy, swinging her left arm blindly at him in an attempt to hit his arm.Knowing Shade, this attack would fo missed even if she weren't in pain, so the hopes of drawing the slightest drop of blood were very low, never m mind being able to hurt him enough to somehow stop his attack.

"Niishou! Two palms!"

The third palm struck Shade directly in the hollow of her throat, and the fourth was directed at her abdomen. Each strike was as hard as the first, and the blows became more fluid and quickened as Neji flew through the sixty-four palms.

"Yonshou! Four palms!"

Palms five, six, seven, and eight all struck her core.

"Yachou! Eight palms!"

Another set of eight were aimed at her shoulders and thighs.

"Juurokushou! Sixteen palms!"

Palms seventeen through thirty-two met their mark as easily as the first sixteen; Neji was a blur as he moved through his jutsu, each palm faster than the last.

"Sa-ti-niishou! Thirty-two palms!"

The Hyuuga winiced mentally at the sight of Shade's metallic claws, but remained confident - this girl had the aim of a half-blind bull that was mad with rage. She couldn't hit him, and even if she did...the sixty-four palms was moving too fast now for her to stop it.

"Rokujuuyonshou! Sixty-four palms!"

The last palm was an open-handed strike directly over the girl's heart, and was more forceful and loaded with chakra than the last two. Neji grinned - attack completed. Up in the tree, Shikamaru did not look at all pleased. He stirred, but knew not to approach Neji when he had completed the sixty-four palms. The Hakkeshou faded from the ground at the Hyuuga's feet as he exhaled slowly, trying to slow the racing of his heart.

((Ahm, Neji's speaking Japanese. I'm just translating what he says for you after he says it...he always does his jutsu in Japanese. xD))
