Children had begun to return, thinking the small canine's antics cute, or some quirky way for her to get attention. Maybe, just maybe the other animal-infused people would be in that crowd? Hopeful, Sheena continued to act her best, trotting around with her head high and wrestling with some of the other foxes. One, however, was not pleased with her showing off. A larger male arctic fox snapped at her when Sheena tugged on his ear playfully. She simply stuck out her tongue, trying to speak with the other fox.

"Listen, I need to get someone's attention, so will you please play along with the others mister... Pardon, what's your name?"

The big male growled, and pinned her. From the children's distance, it looked like they were only wrestling again, but obviously it was more. A meat-like odor drifted from the male's mouth as he leaned over her, claws starting to dig into her white fur. Finally he spoke.

"I'm the alpha around here. Didn't you wonder why no one comes near me? You all are worthless. You don't belong here!" He spat, gleaming teeth inches from Sheena's face. Fear shook through her. He's gonna kill me! She said a breif prayer, but the male seemed to be satisfyed by her nervousness. He got off of her, and she immediately spun around, afraid that the alpha would attack her again, then the male went back to gnawing on an old bone. Slowly, Sheena backed away, then began to run and play with the other foxes in the exhibit. A few of them apologized for how "Blizzard" had acted, but she shrugged them off. Blizzard, so that's his name... Her eyes searched through the small crowd, wondering when the shifters would show up, if they did at that.

Kiri glided smoothly past crowds of people, hood up. She looked like some frumpy young hobo, but she didn't care. Her eyes practically shot lazer beams at anyone who dared stare. Converse shoes padded against the ground, and all Kiri wanted to do was look at the panthers. As she p*censored*ed by, her ears flicked towards an exhibit with foxes in it. Hmmm... she could smell them. Her nose scrunched up, but she looked over anyway. Foxstink. But... There was something else. Kiris green eyes opened wide when she saw the foxes playing and identified which one smelled a bit different. "Could there... be more like me...?" she whispered. Her ears flew back. "Pssst!" Kiri tried to contact the fox. "Hey! You!" The people around Kiri backed off. Idiots.

Sheena looked up at a girl, who smelled heavily of panther. She must have been freshly injected. Ignoring the playful tugs from the other foxes, Sheena barked a couple of times at the panther-girl, trying to convey that she was indeed a shifter as well. Unfortunately, she couldn't do anything shifting-wise yet, but she continued to bark and wag her tail at the girl in the coat.

Making his rounds, Darrin pushed a small wooden cart filled with meat. It was time to feed the animals, and he absoloutely adored making all the caged beasts happy. Really, it was the least he could do. His employment meant that he was encouraging the boss to capture more free spirits and lock them up. What an awful thought. A shiver ran through Darrin as he pas.sed a small alleyway. There was someone, no, two people in there. The only problem was, their presense read like a red alert; not human, not human. "H-Hello?"
