Zain seemed to smirk as Darrin talked to him. Then he co,cked his head to the side with confusion as the man started to sit down. What kind of person would sit down in front of a growling wolf? I could kill him right now if I wanted to.. Zain continued to watch Darrin but couldn't help but lick his lips as the he kicked the meat closer. Maybe just a little bit? His teeth closed around the raw meat, taking large bites and savoring the taste. But his eyes never left the man sitting a few feet away from him. Don't try anything, man. I'm alot more than I look.

((xD You keep calling Darrin a man, when he's only a year older than Zain. It makes me giggle. I guess that Darrin's calling Zain "boy", though...)) "Atta boy, eat the meat." Darrin smiled, a genuine pristine smile, masking his insecurity about sitting next to a snarling wolf. His radio crackled, then a voice came into audibility. "Hey Darrin, almost done with your meat run? The little pipsqueak fox-girl is causing too much attention, we think she's trying to get someone to rescue her. Darrin?" The zookeeper frowned, then spat next to him. He thought it a crime against humanity that the zoo blackmailed that poor girl into acting as a fox for them. He pressed down the button on his radio. "Ah, one of the lions was acting up, so I'm behind schedual." Darrin said, as calm as he could, then switching his radio off. "It's a shame, you know. This poor girl was kidnapped, taken right from her home, and mixed with arctic fox and something else. Cool as hell, but now the zoo's blackmailing her into staying as an arctic fox. Damn boss, taking some teenager's life away like that."

Kiri's ears twitched. She hated the noise, the obnoxious, incessant barking, but it was a human. Or at least, half-human. Or whatever. "You smell terrible." Kiri whispered to the fox. It was true. Kiri didn't like the smell of fox. Or dog. Or canine. Her ear twitched in amusement. "I can help you." Kiri decided seh needed to take action. Running as fast as her legs could carry her, she forgot about the panthers that she had wanted to see and rushed to get help. Who can I ask? No one would believe me. And on top of that, why should I tell some nasty human? Psh. Maybe she can get her own help. Another part of her said no, how would she do that, you idiot. Just help the damn thing. Kiri was so caught up in her thoughts, she wasn't even looking anymore. Something rough yet furry caught her toetip, and she catapulted straight to the ground. Looking up, she saw... A wolf. It was the creature of her nightmares, a huge wolf staring her right in the eye, raw meat hanging from its jaws. Was that her? Was it HER meat? A leg, or an arm like in her nightmeres? Sweat ran down her face and body. Unless it was tears...

Regalis suddenly jerked his head up and sniffed the air. The scent of shifters was all over the zoo. Plus the scent of meat. His stomach growled and his mouth watered. "I can't wait any longer." he growled. He shoved the alpha lion away and ripped at the alpha lion's stomach. Then took off running for the highest rock. He leaped easily onto the top, then, he hid inside the darkest spot. Slowly, he changed, wincing as the change stretched his new scar. When he was finished, she carefully kept to the shadows and cli,bed his way out of the enclosure. he blended with the crowd and suddenly, he was out in the open, people walking about him. He grinned and he ran towards the scent of meat, his mouth watering. When he found it, he stopped in shock. The scent of panther lingered on one girl who had tripped over Zain. Sky was in the back of the alley and this new human was sitting next to the meat. "What the hell Zain." he growled at the wolf. "I leave for only a few minutes and you end up finding a girl and a human with food. I'm missing all the action!" He groaned, throwing his hands in the air. He glared at the human. He walked forward, and grfabbed a hunk of meat. His mouth watered. "For the tigers...." he grumbled. he glared at the panther. Gneerally, in the Cat line, Tigers were above lions. Thus, they were at the top of the cat line and con sidered King's. Seeing a panther here, intrigued him. But the food scent made him take a few steps into the shadows. He walked deeper into the alley, saw Sky and smiled slightly. "Hungry." He said quietly with a shrug. He tore into the meat, careful that the human didn't see him.

Kiri froze at the scent of Regalis. "I'm not an item. What the hell is going on!?" Rage bubbled up over her fear and she stood. "What. The. Hell!? Why is there a dude over there sitting next to some huge wolf thing and a talking *censored*cat!" she spat out her words, and her hood was shaken off. She ripped off her gloves. "Listen," she said, and put her hand-paw over her face. "I'm not so great at figuring things out when I'm nervous. All I know is I was thrown around and turned into this... this thing." This lovely, gorgeous thing... Kiri had always had an affinity for cats. In reality, she liked her new form. But it wasn't like she was gonna forgive the idiots who made her this way. Cold sweat ran down her body. Her eyelids tightened, and she jerked off into a corner to undress and shift. It relieved some stress out in the woods, anyway. Why not here? Using her claws, she tore off all the heavy outfitting. She grinned as she did, thinking of the dumb looks on the guys faces over there. Just to make them feel akward, she tore slowly, painfully. "Uhhh... Ouch..." She was so close to laughing. Once she had the clothes in a mangled heap, she shifted. She had gotten better by now, it had hurt the first time... Her sleek body prowled back to the guys. "Okay..." She said, slightly exasperated, "Let's figure this out."

Darrin was slightly frozen, seeing a huge tiger appear, take his meat, and then eat, growling at the wolf. A very confused panther had ran into the wolf, lookng terrified at the meat that the wolf was slowly eating. "I feel a bit uncomfortable with all of these big teeth around me..." He mumbled under his breath, gaze shifting between the wolf he was trying to get to trust him, the tiger that stole the meat and was eating, and the panther. It looked like today would not be a normal day.

Zain quickly jumped back and away from Regalis and the panther shifter, fur bristling and teeth bared. Eyes narrowed, he glanced at the unfamiliar panther girl and then back to the tiger boy. "You know, I'm getting kind of tired of you acting like a bigshot. Last time you did, you ended up hurt. Remember?" Zain let a low growl escape from his throat and then let himself relax. His muscles untightened and within a moment, he had shifted back into a human. Dark hair covered his face and he reached up to brush it aside.

((Can they shift with clothes? I wasn't sure... D: Eh, Kiri doesn't care anyway. x3)) Kiri was a bit startled. Zain scared her. Well, most canines did. Psh. Stupid, you're more housecat than panther. Kiri shot a glance at the tiger a last time, and felt a little tingle in her spine. Is he a friend? I mean, sure, he's feline, but... That doesn't mean- Kiri's thoughts were taken away once she saw Darrins eyes. He was scared. Very, very scared. She shifted back to human and walked over to the boy. "Hey... You okay?" She sat beside him she her ears flicked about. She was nervous, but she felt sympathy for him. She had been scared as well. |

"H-Hey! Woah!" Darrin jumped up at the wolf and the panther shifting into humans. He ran a sweating hand through his hair, then covered his eyes, holfing up a finger and starting to pace. What just happened? He had been talking to a wolf when some boy and a panther appeared! Now he was with three... three half-animal people... like the fox-girl! "Wait, are you the.. um, oh, what was it called? Were you infused with animal DNA like the fox-girl?"

pression on his face. He was tired from not sleeping very well for the past week and he was grouchy when he was tired. Then his eyes flicked back to Kiri. "Don't be afraid of me. I'm just not in the... best of moods." The corner of his mouth turned up a little, giving her a crooked smile.

"Hey, I told you, wolf-kid, I'm against it, it's wrong and inhumaine, but I need this job, with it I'm finally going to be able to move out and go to a better college." Darrin stepped back a little, scared of the shifter, then looked at the other girl. "Miss, I don't think it's good to eat raw meat while you're a human." He felt a little irked that he had to adress them as wolf-boy, or panther-girl, so he decided to take the next step. "Slow down, what are all of your names, I mean, at least wolf-boy knows mine."

Kiri cracked a small smile, though her eyes were wide and wild. Even his smile scared her. She blinked it off and looked back to Darrin. "I'm Kiri. And its just like sushi." She shrugged. "If raw wild deer head didn't kill me, this certainly wont." "And what's yours?" She took a step to the side, trying to be casual but still nervous with a wolf so near her.
