Darrin did feel a bit woozy, but he would continually deny it, letting his weaknesses out was not a priority of his. "No, no. I'm used to it because of the fox girl in the zoo. Is she one of you guys? Is that why you're here?" He rubbed his wrists nervously, glance shifting from Zain to Kiri to the other male that had many scars on him. He must be a shifter too, I wonder what type. Without noticing that he was, Darrin stared curiously at the un-named boy.

[Pfft. Sorry for not being on. The end of the school year is always hectic for me. Between end of the year parties and getting getting ready for summer and all that, I hardly have any time for res. :B What's happened since I've been gone?

((Uh, let's see. Kiri (Izze) appeared, and Darrin (a zookeeper character that will help them) met up with Zain, trying to persuade him to like him. Uh, then Regalis and Kiri appeared by Zain and Darrin, and they all shifted into their human form. Darrin wasn't too surprised, since he works with Sheena (my character who is being blackmailed into staying at the zoo), and they're all trying to figure things out. Well, Darrin at least. He thinks they're coming to rescue Sheena, which he's fine with because he thinks keeping her here is inhumaine.

And that's about it, right?))

Kiri looked at Darrin. "Its not like we're aliens or anything. We're human. Or at least, used to be. Not very different than you. Don't act like we're all together in this, either. Its not like I like any of you." Kiri glared sternly and strongly at everyone in range. "I just want to get out of here."

(Mmmm, I think it might have been the animal DNA Rp that Pandanhorse made? I don't remember... And it's alright, Alice.)

     Zain ran a hand through his dark hair and then smirked. "She must be one of us. We were experimented on and turned into whatever they injected us with.." He gestured to his large ears and dark wolf's tail. "But a few days ago, some of us escaped from the Home and we all seem to be ending up in the same places somehow. The scientists are after all of us." Zain turned his gaze to Regalis, Sky and Zoe, and then even to Kiri. "None of us are safe. We thought that we might go undetected here at the zoo. I don't know the fox girl, but she's probably safer in here than she is outside."

"Listen." Darrin said, staring straight into Zain's eyes with a ferocity that not many had brought upon the humble zookeeper. "If she's one of you, you should be worried about protecting her yourselves, not letting her be kept in an enclosure for the rest of her life. For goodness sakes, she's a human just like you! Do you not see the injustice she's being forced into?" He spat on the ground next to him, starting to let his anger escape so that he could think clearly again. That aside, Darrin still grabbed onto Zain's shirt by the collar, bringing him close to his face. "Are you gonna let one of your own suffer? Well?"

     Zain's eyes flashed with anger and he shoved Darrin hard, a loud snarl ripping from between his teeth. "Put your hands on me again and I'll rip your throat out." Zain balled his hands into fists, nails slightly turning to claws as he did so, and he shook with rage. "The only people I'm worried about are myself and my friends. The ones I know. For all we know, this could be some kind of trap!" It was his turn to advance on Darrin, glaring daggers, hatred right into his eyes. "And the last time I checked, you were human, too. And you fu,cking work here?! Why aren't you doing anything for her? Why aren't you helping her? If anyone's doing her injustice, it's you. Just because another half animal, half guy comes in you expect me to play savior? I don't think so. I didn't ask for this. Any of this."

((xD Language, Zain, language.))

Darrin rolled his eyes and clenched his hands into fists too, gaze settling back on Zain as he began to speak again. "I'm not afraid of some coward who was hiding in an alleyway. Yes, I am human, Mr. Zain. I also have a mother, a father, and three younger siblings to feed. My dad was fired from his job and my mother is pregnant again, but not from my father, from some mugger that knocked her up. D'ya think that I wouldn't have helped the poor girl if it didn't mean being fired and threatened, and most likely she'd have been found again? Of course not, idiot!" He un-balled his hads, calming down a bit. Arguing constantly wouldn't help their predicament. "Listen Zain." Darrin said, still not trusting the wolf-boy, and still frustrated with him. "Walk out of here, if you really want to. Nothing's been stopping you so far, so just get it over with. I'm sure the poor girl will thank you for condemming her to a live held against her will in captivity. Now it foy'll excuse me, I've got to finish my rounds." Facing the cart of food now, he grabbed the handle, clutching so tightly his knuckles turned white, and stared at the wolf boy with cold eyes.
