Zain: *Growls*)

     At that moment, Zain snapped. He let out another howl of rage and then there stood a menacing black wolf, saliva dripping angrily from his m*censored*ive jaws. In one swift movement, Zain pounced on top of Darrin, knocking him off his feet. "I'm not the idiot," he barked in Darrin's face, teeth inches from his throat. "I don't care what you have. All I care about is keeping the one's I love safe. You may think that your life is h,ell but try having mine and then we'll talk. Try being experimented on, going through multiple painful treatments day after day, being starved for weeks, beaten, taken away from your family and then not be wanted because of what sick people have done." Zain growled, his heart aching from the memories. "So if trying to keep my family safe make me a coward," he looked deep into Darrin's eyes, "then so be it."

(Well, all Darrin heard was a bunch of barking.. XD Haha but Zain will cool down soon. And he will help Sheena. He's just angry and tired right now so he isn't in the greatest of moods.

     Sky, having heard the exchange, decided that she didn't want the zookeeper killed. Well, not infront of Zoe, anyway. Pulling on Zo's wrist, she took a few steps forward, out of the shadows. With her free hand, she grabbed Zain's arm, turning him so that he was facing her. Her eyes showed that she was begging him to stop, although her face was set to stone. "Not infront of Zo." she growled, letting go of his arm. She looked down at her sister, who was cowering between her legs, little tears streaming down her cheeks. Her wings flutterede out behind her, before curling back into her back.

     "Darrin, how can we get the fox-girl out?" she asked the zookeeper, who seemed to be extremely afraid now. "Although we may not know her, anyone who has suffered as we have, we will try to help. That goes for any experiment, no matter who it is." Her eyes flickered from Kira, to Regalis, to Zain, and then back at Darrin. She felt movement behind her. Zo emerged from behind her legs.

     "Doggy." Zo put her arms around Zain. "Don't fight. It's scary."

     "Good doggy, no fighting." Zoe started to pat Zain on the head, before putting her small, thin arms around his neck.

Darrin was expecting the attack, almost annoyed when the girl appeared from the alleyway, pulling him off. He would have liked to show Zain what he was made of, and what he would to to keep his family healthy. Seeing the little girl around Zain's neck, he understod, and nodded towards the girl. "Darrin. Pleasure to meet you." He mumbled, getting up and dusting off his uniform, glaring a bit at Zain. The boy had tranformed into the wolf again, and hadn't changed back. Too cowardly to face me as a human, eh?  Darrin thought spitefully, then clearing his head and taking the thought back. "Listen, do whatever you want, but good luck finding anyone else at this godforsaken zoo that will help you." This he said with an earnest tone, truthfully meaning his words, and having a sad look in his eyes. The little girl reminded him of one of his little sisters, and he'd hate to have her placed in the same situation as the fox girl.
