((We weren't supposed to have same species but I guess it's okay. No big deal. I guess we can start now but I wanted to wait for my friend Alice111 to join... I won't keep you guys waiting though and thanks to everyone for joining! :]))

   Clouds covered the already dark sky and fog slowly rolled across a lonely looking yard, loud yelling coming from inside the house. Everything was quiet for a moment when the door opened and a boy about eighteen, Zain, stormed out and cursed his stepfather. He didn't expect his stepfather to understand in the first place. How could he when his long lost step-son walks in after thinking he'd been dead for the past year and a half? And even better, Zain had scared his stepfather with his newly acquired wolf ears and furry tail. He actually took it better than I thought he would, Zain thought angrily, shoving his hands deep into the pockets of his jeans and grunting. He strode quickly towards the edge of the nearby woods when his large ears twitched at the sound of a door opening again. "Don't you ever show your face around here again you little freak, or you'll be sorry, you hear me?" Zain never turned at the sound of the man's voice and he picked up his pace as he neared the edge of the forest. The boy simply raised his left hand high and stuck out his middle finger.

Hands shoved in his pockets and ears pressed down against his head, Ryo sighed, shaking his head. He was standing outside his house, wondering if he should go on and get some of his things as he'd been planning to do a while ago. His mother was scared of him, as she had always believed that bad things happened when you saw a black cat. And, Ryo was apparently a black cat, so.

His father just thought he was a freak. But, then again, he'd always been a freak; if not for the face that he'd been kicked out of the house, he actually might have enjoyed being different. People never approached him anyway, but now even the bravest of people would have trouble even glancing at him. Whether or not he was happy about this mutation those...people had caused, Ryo didn't know, but he did know there were others like him. It wasn't like he was the only one who had been experimented on.

Ryo sighed again, then started into a nearby forest.

Zain picked up the pace once he broke through the barrier of thick trees and quickly looked around. He saw a path off to right right but decided to go left instead. Paths weren't his thing. After a few minutes of walking aimlessly through the dark forest, Zain's nose picked up a sweet scent that suddenly made him freeze. "Is that...," he whispered to himself as he whipped his head slightly towards the smell, "Blood?"
