Zain veered towards the scent of the blood and moved swiftly through the trees, making sure not to make a sound. He shifted the small backpack into a more comfortable position on his back and continued until he caught sight of a girl through the trees. But she wasn't just any girl, she was half horse! She was like him, from the 'Home'. Zain's deep brown eyes watched the girl for a few more seconds before he heard another sound. Listening intently, Zain could tell just by the footfalls that it was a human male somewhere nearby.

Reglais eye's narrowed and slowly, his form blurred. He dropped to all fours and the thuds of his footfalls became softer and less clumsy. Then slowly, the sound of him walking vanished entirely as he became the graceful hunter that he was. A tiger. He gazed at the world with new, golden eyes. He opened his mouth and panted in pleasure. He flicked his tail and sighed. He sniffed the air and froze, muscles rippling beneath his pelt. He stayed perfectly still, blending in with the world until he disappeared entirely.

Ryo's ears twitched. His new senses recognized whatever was coming towards him as a threat, and there were more creatures like it around. All of those animals were larger than him, his senses told him, and out of fright Ryo quickly shifted into his cat form, scurrying up a tall tree. Once up the tree, he relaxed, but his instincts told him to be afraid. Up in the tree, he could see other animals that did not belong in the forest he was in: two tigers, a horse, and a wolf that probably did belong. Three predators, and one animal that could stomp him down.

Why was he so defenseless? Nevertheless, Ryo climbed back down the tree and walked towards the first tiger. At least it was another feline.

((I'm sorry if it sounded that way, Kira. I'm not annoyed with you. ;] Oh, and Shadow, I'm not gonna have the scientists come in right now so I don't know about the blow dart, yet... Sorrys. Like I said earlier, I don't want anyone left behind and we should have every one in the forest before the scientists come after them...))

The blood.. It was coming from the horse girl. Zain quietly moved towards her, both his hands out in from of him telling her that he meant no harm. His long, black tail swished behind him as he approached the girl. "Hello.. My name is Zain." He brushed his shaggy hair out of his face and glanced at the wound on her horselike back. "You escaped from the Home too, didn't you? Here." Zain pulled off the backpack he'd been carrying and pulled out the gauze he'd thought to bring with him. "I can help, if you want. There are others nearby, too. I can hear them."

     Sky couldn't help but replay that all that had happened in the "Home". God, what a crappy name. Sky snorted to herself. Like anyone would think of that rotten prison as a home. She shivered, memories of all thethings they had done to her there. She looked around, realizing that she had stopped walking. Trees, trees, and more trees. She listened to sounds a round her, more acute than any normal human's ears because of the bird-DNA inside her. She could hear... people? She pulled her wings more tightly against her back, slinking toward the clearing where she thought she heard voices.

Zain quickly wrapped up the horse girls wound and said, "Follow me." His body seemed to distort as he shifted and within a second, there stood a large black wolf with deep chocolate eyes. His nose lifted to the sky and sniffed. There are deffinately others nearby. Paws pounding lightly on the ground, Zain made his way through the forest towards what he thought would be the scientists coming to take him back to the prison they called 'Home'. Suddenly, he heard a noise high up in the tree next to him and rose his head to see. A cat was perched lightly on the branch above him. He growled lightly, the dog in him coming out momentarily. Then he seen another girl off to his right. Where are all these people coming from? Zain thought, tail swishing and claws digging softly into the soft ground. A closer look told him that she was another one of them. The girl had large, dark raven wings.
