Callista shivered; her tunic was meant for the heat of the desert, not the icy coldness of snow. She saw the mansion now, and it was walking distance. Trotting as fast as she could, Callista cursed in Greek her flimsy sandals. Why hadn’t she prepared better? A frozen fist pounded on the door, and she waited for someone to answer. Damn this cold! Why would anyone want to live here? She thought silently.

Vitriol didn't hear her at his door, totally submersed in his music and dreadful memories. But his maid did. She rushed to the door and ushered the woman inside, taking her coat and seating her by he fire. "Is there anything we can get you?" She asked as two more maids, plus a boy, came to her *censored*istance. Vitriol's driver, also his butler, stood beside her, watching her.

Karienne laid down on bed and flipped through a magazine. there was a knock on the door. She looked up. "Enter."She said. Her butler Jauffrey came in. "Miss Jackson I've got a message for you. You are to meet V?" He said. "I @ssume you now who that is."He said. Karienne smiled. "Wait for me in the limo Jauffrey."She said. He nodded and left.

Karienne bounded down the stairs. She had changed into tight white skinny jeans a close fitting white top and a black leather jacket. She was wearing black high heeled boots and black aviator sugl@sses. She climbed into the seat in the limo and Jaufreey drove her out of the house. She couldn't beleive. It she had just come back from a mission and she couldn't beleive Vitriol wanted to see her.

A man with black hair crouched on the rooftop of a building in the middle of a bustling city. His eyes glowed silver as she searched the never-ending sea of people from diferent races, ethnic, cultures, and backgrounds. A low hiss escaped his clentched teeth as he narrowed his eyes. His target wasn't out yet. Or he didn't want to get killed. The black haired man stood up and walked away from the roof.

A few minutes later, he was on the ground with his hands behind his head and his eyes closed. He was leaning against the side of a building with his hair in his face. God how he hated the living.

((x3 She didn't have a coat, she was freezing her bum off.))

Callista straightened herself in the warmth of the house, rubbing her neck with one hand. "I'm here to see your Master, Vitriol." She said cooly and calmly, closing her eyes and enjoying the heat. Oh how she loved to be warm, she thought of her home, the blue and white ruins where she used to play with her friends, always being watched by the Greek sun.

Eyeing a woman running up to the mansion, Akira began making his way towards the building as well, breathing in the stinging frozen air that burned his lungs. It didn't bother him much, really, but he wasn't used to it. It wasn't often that Akira was sent to a frozen land such as the one he was in at the moment, but then again, he barely sent anywhere anymore. He used to be used to kill everyone. Hell, someone he saw walking down the street could've been his new target. But not anymore. They kept him idle, and it bothered him. If he was as good of an as-sas-sin as he was told he was, shouldn't they send him on more missions?

Maybe, maybe not.

Akira stepped to the door and knocked lightly and politely. He didn't want to be like that crazy woman who had pounded on the door so loudly that he heard it when he was so far away. The poor maid who brought her inside must've been a little scared of the woman.

It made Akira smile...but just a little bit.

((…? She hadn’t knocked that hard… Ah well.)) 

Callista nodded quietly, shivering from the draft of the door opening to let the man in. She sat down on an antique sofa, obviously very costly, and silently admired the intricate details around the room. What money Vitriol must make to afford all of these treasures, she thought, still looking around in wonder. Callista paid no attention to the man who had entered. He seemed stiff and stuffy. When the delicate piano playing ceased, Callista as.sumed Vitriol would be down soon.

Yawning, the man pushed himself off the building and walked away from the city. Block by block, mile by mile, until he came to a huge mansion. It was cold out, yet he felt no temperature change on his deathy cold, white skin.

Tilting his head to one side, he walked up to the door behind a male. But, then he stopped in the middle of the walkway. His eyes widened as truth dawned upon him. This was one of the houses of Vitriol. One of the greatest as$as$ins that is stil living today. He smiled wickedly as his eyes started to glow silver and his fangs grew out.

"This is going to be fun," he muttered to himself as he continued to walk.

Vitriol's butler smiled at every one who entered. "Please, make yourselves at home. He will be with you shortly. I *censored*ume he is getting ready." the butler said, ushering them all in. Vitriol stood from his chair and looked out the l*censored* window of the one side of the room. It revealed the woods, glistening with white snow. He watched silently as the snow fell, his mind working. "Like snow, we form, and then, we begin a new life. But as we begin, we start to sway and then, we find ourselves falling. We worry about falling, when the real worry, is what will happen when we hit the ground." He muttered softly. He sighed and his respirator hummed. "Guests." He reminded himself, already mentally calculating which escape route was the best and which moves would paralyze a foe before the foe could hit him. he would be on his guard, but he would be the warmest host.

"Thank you." Akira murmured, bowing his head slightly. He entered the mansion, walking into the living room. He looked over to the windows, realizing the curtains weren't drawn but there was barely any light filtering through the window. At least, that's how it seemed.

Akira stood patiently against one of the walls in the room, his head bowed down. His hands were held tightly together, holding a small stone in them. The stone was a light blue, and it showed no sign of holding any other colour. It was simply blue. Though he had no real reason to like it so much, Akira thought of the stone as one of his greatest treasures. He had not much else, and the stone was so pretty. He just really liked it. 

He reached the door and lightly rapped on it with two knuckles. Then he took two steps back and waited for it to open. While he waited, he yawned and his fangs seemed to protrude from his upper lip. Four sharp points, deadly as daggers.

His butler let the vampire in, to even flinching when he saw a glimpse of the fangs. Then, he said this. "Master Vitriol is coming now." Even though not a single sound had been heard. Vitriol looked at himself quickly in a mirror, noticing that once again, his eyes flashed. He sighed, took a deep breath that made his respirator hum louder, and he walked out of his room. He walked down the long corder, his footsteps not making a sound against the floor. He kept his hands behind his back as he stared straight ahead, arranging the emotions on his face so the only thing they would see when he entered, was a calm, and incredibly unnerving face.

Karienne sighed and plopped herself down on the seat next to Callista. She took of her sungla.sses. She nodded at Callista in acknowldement then looked over fromAkira to the other guy. She bit her lip self consiously.

The vampire closed his mouth, seeing the bulter flinch and followed the man to where others were waiting. He glanced at the fire and his spine stiffened. How he hated the flames. Water was better suited to him. He blinked and glanced at the other people in the room besides him. They looked human, mortal, but he wasn't to sure.
