Mordekai curled up with a soft groan, ears pulled back as far as they would go. He whimpered softly, extremely uncomfortable right now. He had a high fever, had thrown up several times within the past few hours, and he ached so many places. He wasn't at all sure of what was wrong, and neither was his father.
Endraen sat beside the ill Mordekai, gently petting his older son's hair, ears pulled back. He wanted to tell him it'd all be okay, but since even sure about what was wrong, he couldn't promise his son a thing, except that he'd be there for him the whole time. "Mordekai, I know you have the strength to overcome this," he murmured softly, watching as his son shifted again. He must be feeling terrible...

Cody sat silently beside Mordekai, close enough to touch but afraid to in case he hurt his friend. He was already i so much that he didn't want to cause his anymore. That would be a cruel thing to do. And he was slightly afraid of getting the sickness himself. He was near tears for his beloved friend. Aiden came over to the small group and sat close to Mordekai and reached to gently run a cool wet cloth over his son's face. this was both to clean him of sweat and dirt and to try and run off his fever. He set the clothe over his forhead. He then began to gently search his visible skin for marks, fearing a snake bite had caused this. He wasn't at all sure what was wrong with his son, and being his mother he felt responsible for his son's illness. It was a deep wounds to Aiden's heart. And Mordekai was so dirty, sweating from his fever cah caused his to pick up a lot of dirt and other things from the forest floor.

Mordekai opened his eyes slightly, looking up at his mother, father, and friend before he coughed and curled up tighter, letting out no sounds other than soft mewls and the sound of him panting. What was wrong with him? Why did he feel so sick? He wanted it to go away...it was awful...
Endraen moved his tail to curl it around his son's, ears pulled back. "I know you can beat this, Mordekai..." he whispered, a distinct sadness in his eyes. He had no idea what to do in order to help his son and it was eating away at his heart...

Aiden seemed to whimper when he didn't find what he was looking for and simply covered up his son, wanting to keep him warm. He then flipped the cloth on his forehead over and let it sit there some more. Cody felt his lip quiver, meaning he was close to tears so he bit it while he sat beside his best friend. He even moved to lay down next to him, facing him to that he could talk to him and see his face. He hoped his friend would get better, he didn't know what he would do if he didn't and what his parents would do.

Mordekai, who was starting to shiver, let out a soft mewl before he shifted to his feline form, almost like it was a reflex action. His ears were pulled back and his muzzle parted as he panted. His fur looked dull, where it was usually healthy and shiny. He mewled again, weakly pawing at the air.
Endraen's ears drooped when his son shifted, reaching out to gently stroke his fur. Maybe they could try using different herbs to help him...but he wasn't sure which ones to use...some could even make it worse on the poor child.

Aiden watched hi son sadly, not wanting to move him and cause any sort of pain for him. But he couldn't jut sit around and watch his baby suffer. He stood up and moved away from the small group surrounding Mordekai and went to et him some more water fot his fever. This was a sort of paniced reaction for Aiden. He didn't know what to do. And he didn't want to loose Mordekai again. Cody watched Mordekai's mom get up and leave more, wondering what he was doing and why no one was trying to make Modekai feel better! He was obviously in pain and sick..
