Aiden took the time to scoot a few inches from him, putting important distance between the two of them. But now that that was over he didn't have anything else to say to the tiger cat and he didn't want to leave yet though it was clearly time to leave him alone and try to let him get some rest

Endraen's ears pulled back once more, the tiger-cat confused by the way Aiden moved away from him. After they had become friends, he'd never done that... Did he do something wrong? Was Aiden upset with him? He moved his tail to brush against the human's outer thigh. "Did I...do something wrong, then...?" he asked.

Aiden's eyes widened slightly at what he'd just done, he wasn't even thinking, he'd just done it. And It might have cost him trust points with Endraen. "No! No, no. You didn't do anything wrong." Aiden tried to as$ure the other. He wasn't afraid of Endraen or anything he could do to him. He was afraid of the way he'd reacted to something so innocent so seriously. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to move away." He apologized, not wanting to lose his only other friend.

Endraen seemed to perk back up when he was told that he hadn't upset Aiden, though he was cautious in moving closer this time. "Then...why did you move...?" he asked softly, tilting his head as he flicked his tail. His goldn eyes betrayed his distinct curiosity, showing that the tiger really wanted to know what was going on with the human male. He reached out to lightly touch his friend's shoulder with his fingertips, ears pulling back slightly out of worry. Aiden had been acting kind of...off lately.

Aiden sighed inwardly, he didn't have anything to worry about. And it seemed that he was making all of these problems up in his head when there wasn't anything to worry about at all. But now that he'd done that, he'd made himself a hole and the only way out seemed to be to explain to Endraen what was going on. "Its just that... if anyone saw us... doing that..." He frowned, "They might not understand and think that it's inappropriate." But he was the only thinking about that kind of situation! No one had even called him out on it. Probably wouldn't even cross their mind. "I just don't want anyone getting the wrong idea." He said, pushing those thoughts from his head. "I'm sorry~ I worry too much." He admitted.

Endraen listened to Aiden's explanation, ears pricking up as he cocked his head. "Inappropriate?" he echoed, scooting closer again. He placed his head upon the other's shoulder, left ear twitching. "And worrying makes you more alert and makes you pay attention to your surroundings," he added, his tail flicking steadily back and forth.

Aiden's hand snaked up and found Endaen's head again, moving on its own. He petted his slightly. He found the motion almost therapeutic but wondered how it made Endaen feel. That hadn't even crossed his mind at all. Endaen made him feel natural when he explained things to him the way he saw them. Like being worried. "Yes, inappropriate." Aiden replied.

Endraen closed his eyes ears pulling back slightly as he moved his head into the affections, a soft, purr-like growl rumbling in his throat. He shifted himself slightly, then he relaxed into his friend's touches, enjoying the way it felt. He smiled, his tail moving to curl itself around Aiden and rest upon his lap, the tip twitching back and forth against a rather...sensitive spot on the other male. Tge tiger-cat was unaware of this fact, however.

Aiden figured that Endraen liked this by his actions and continued, bracing himself when the other shifted. The whole situation was rather soothing to Aiden, whether it was or not to Endraen Aiden could only guess. And by the way he was acting he guessed that it was at the very least tolerable. He froze, however, when Endraen's tail wrapped around him and quickly moved to grab the appendage and reposition it. He was tempted to laugh at the irony, seeing as he thought Endraen's previous actions were sexual. But he was sure that Endraen didn't know what he was doing.

Endraen nuzzled his head against Aiden's hand when he stopped, wanting him to keep going. He opened his eyes to look up at the other, tilting his head. "What's wrong?" he asked, a slight purr in his voice from the petting only moments earlier. The tiger-cat shifted closer again, acting within his housecat-like nature.

"Nothing~" Aiden replied, letting go of the fuzzy, mischievous appendage and continued to pet his very cat like friend. He et his mind wonder once again, something he did and could do when he was around Endraen. He could when he was working or in town, you had to pay attention out there. All the time. He also knew that he was past the usual time that he would leave Endraen to himself.

(Ooh. Should we skip again to when Endraen is asleep? Someone could come out and try to kill him, but Aiden stops them and stays with Endraen for the rest of the night? Cx)

Aiden had ended up staying with Endraen a lot longer than he usually did and they had both fallen asleep. Sprawled out in the living area of Endraen's small borrowed hut. The two slept peacefully until one stirred, having heard something. He opened his eyes slowly, staring groggily ahead. He wasn't sure what woken him up, or if it was anything at all and he hadn't just woke up randomly. He started to get up anyway, needing to leave Endraen alone now when he noticed something move out of the corner of his eye and looked up to find someone standing over his sleeping friend, a knife over his head. Aiden's heart nearly jumped out of his chest and did somersaults right there. Before he could think it over he was up and on top of the other person, pinning his arms quickly and securly over his head. Being a black smith gave you muscle and though he didn't look like a body builder, Aiden was capable of holding someone down. [[fail sorry]]

Endraen had curled his tail around his human friend to keep him warm while he slept, looking surprisingly peaceful until Aiden had jumped over him to pin somebody down. The tifer snapped awake and was standing behind his friend only seconds later, bared fangs glowing in the moonlight that entered the hut. He then knelt down, growlinfg with his ears pulled back.

Aiden gribbed the intruder's wrist tighter, forcing him to release the knife. The intruder dropped the knife, it made a 'clank' against the floor when he let it go. Aiden kept the pressure there, "What're you doing here?" He growled, his eyes like daggers of their own. He didn't take any notice of Endraen getting up behind him, right now the only two here were him and the prson he was sitting on. "what do you think?" came a pained reply. Aiden moved his wrist suddenly, twisting the other's wrist violently. The intruder bucked beneath him, emitting a agonized sound. "Leave." Aiden growled. This man might have tried to kill Endraen, but he had failed. And he was a villager, Aiden wouldn't let him be killed by, who he could now vaugly hear, his friend behind him. Plus he was pretty sure he had just broke the guy's wrist. That was good enough.

Endraen moved closer, ears pulled back so tightly that they were hidden within his hair, his clawed fingers curled as he growled a bit louder. "If you ever try that again, I'll kill you," he snarled, golden eyes glowing eerily in the moonlight. His tail was lashing at the air, his fingers twitching slightly. He was not going to stand for getting ambushed when he'd done nothing wrong.

Aiden shifted off of the intruder and allowed him to scramble hastily to his feet and collect his weapon and escape from the building without anymore harm done to him.
Once he was gone Aiden tried to figure out who he had been but couldnt remember ever even seeing the mans face before.
He leaned back quietly, a deep and quiet look on his face. Why would someone want to hurt Endraen? Hed done nothing but stay in his hut since saving kids from a burning building.
Aiden turned to his friend. "Are you ok?" he asked, maybe he had been hurt before he could get the guy to the floor.
