Fever stared at her, startled when she bowed. "You don't need to be so formal." She said, a bit embarra.ssed that someone was showing gratitude so openly to her. "Really, it's no problem. Frankly it's just good to see you awake and alive."
Fever smiled. "But yeah, I thought you didn't look Fire Nation. And while we're sharing secrets here..." She crossed her legs and idly flicked a stone. "I was raised in the Fire Nation, but I ran away from that place long ago. I'm not one of them." She eyed the girl.

"Sharing screts? Oh, if only you knew." the girl said, leaning back on her arms and legs as she twisted a piece of water around on her fingers. "I*m looking for my friend. Hey, didn't any of you see a flash of light coming from...oh..." she turned and looked and then pointed, "That direction." She wondered if they had seen her go wild, she knew she had, but she didn't know what had happened...

Fever blinked. "No, not really. I kind of ran off into the woods to cool down for a bit." She shrugged, not wanting to pry into the question.
"My name's Fever, by the way." She added after a moment. She made it obvious that Aki didn't have to give her name in exchange if she didn't want to. The girl seemed to be on the lam. She was clearly being chased, and Fever knew some people didn't like to casually risk their life by giving away their identity.

"I*m tired. Nice to meet you." Aki joked, holding out her hand for Fever to shake. "I like your name, it sounds like a herb my mother used when people got sick. I can't remember the full name." Aki sighed and stopped playing with the water. "Have you ever had sdomething happen to you that was so big that you lost control, ruined a city, and then had no clue what to do after losing a friend?" She wondered...

Fever grinned. "Feverfew is my full name, but I usually just use Fever. It suits me more." She smiled, glancing to the side, remembering how she used to get sick often as a young child. Her generally high body heat. Her feverish moodswings.
She blinked at the question, but shook her head and replied casually. "Not really. I knocked over a couple houses once." She raised her eyebrows. The story seemed feeble compared to destroying a city.
"Sounds like a burden." She acknowledged. "Is that why you're being chased?"

"I thought the war was over, so why is being the avatar such a burden?" She wondered,quietly so only Fever would hear. She rocked back and forth, her knees hugged to her chest as tears dripped from her eyes. "There are so many people injured because of me, aren't I supposed to help people, not hurt them?" she wondered...

Fever felt a moment's shock at what the girl said. Her clear grey eyes flickered to the girl- the Avatar's- face, and she felt a stab of pity. Poor girl... so young, yet so much responsibility.
"I'm... sorry." Fever murmured, equally quietly. "I didn't know." She bit her lip, then straightened up suddenly as something occured to her.
"Hey, what are you going to do about Airbending?" She asked, careful to sound casual. She wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to tell her she was an airbender- after all, they were travelling right to the Fire Nation.
Still, I'll let this play out. See what she says.

"Yes... So... wait, you could teach me airbending? What about earthbending and Firebending." Aki said, counting the elements off on her pale fingers. She lept to her feet, wobblnig a bit. "that could work, if you know some others who are benders!" She cried quietly and then feel to the floor. "I geuss, according to what I've heard when in disguise to get out here. The avatar, me, is back and she went into the avatar state when a guard was really mean. I geuss that is when Kiggan was captured and I was thrown to the garbage. I hope that guard is alright." she bit her lip, afraid she might have killed the man. He probably had a family and children just like her. She put her face in her hands... ((I have to go.))

(( Im in the same situation. Being a highschool senior is waaaay stressful. I understand if you want out, but maybe we can only post on weekends like suggested. that way we all can enjoy without too much pressure.))

She opened her mouth to speak but Kai-Ching muttered a hello and grabbed the waterbender's hand. It can wait. Fever though, smiling softly. "I'll tell you later. Kai-Ching, have some bread, okay?" She held out the cloak to the young Firebender.
