Aki scrammbl;ed back a few feet. "Please don't hurt me." She squeaked, gazing at the firebender girl. "I am not special, just don't touch me." she pleaded, hiding her hands in her tunic. She didn't want to be touch, not now, not ever and especially by a firebender...

Kai-Ching fliched back at Akilina's words. They hurt her to the point where she didnt feel like eating. Her young eyes swelled with tears and she began to bawl. He tears falling fat and messy. The salt filled droplets on her cheecks didnt appear to be stopping anytime soon. She ran over to Ti Jinh and cried into his shirt.

Ti Jinh frowned wrapping his arms around little Kai-Ching. "Hey darling, what's up?" he asked hugging her tightly. He felt his heart drop a little bit as he clung to the small fire bender. He would normally hate her kind but he couldn't hate little Kai-Ching. She was to sweet and much to innocent. "Shhhh. It will be okay sweetheart" he cooed into the little girls ear as he pressed his lips against the top of her head trying to comfort here. "Ti Jinh's gotcha, don't worry" he whispered dropping his green gaze to the ground in front of him. (( Yep. No clue what's going on but here is my post. lol. )) |

Fever watched Kai-Ching cry with dismay. She was torn between comforting the little firebender or the Avatar. But Kai-Ching had Ti Jinh, and she didn't want the waterbender to feel like she was a burden.
She turned to her. "Don't worry about that... Kai-Ching lived on the streets all her life. She's had a hard life." She glanced away. "Anyway, as I was saying... I can teach you airbending if you want." She paused, not about to give away the information that her friends were benders too. That information was theirs to disclose. "There's a problem though... Right now we're travelling to the Fire Nation." She bit her lip.

(( great way to play it off dude =3= )) Kai-Ching tried to bite back her tears long enough to tell Ti Jinh what was the matter. She managed to choke back her tears for a little bit to tell him what was wrong. "That...She..she..."was all she managed to get out as she pointed a blaming finger at Aki. She hugged tighter onto Ti Jinh and hoped that he never let go. "She mad me s-sad..."she snivled and stuttered. "Thought I was...was g-gonna hurt 'er..." |

Ooc:// ^.^ Ti Jinh has a heart. Bic:// Ti Jinh glanced over at Aki then sighed tightening his grip on Kai-Ching. "Don't worry. Fever and I know you wouldn't hurt a fly. She just doesn't understand you now hush little one" he whispered into her ear sitting down on the ground and pulling Kai-Ching closer to him. "Sit with me for a few minutes and things will get better, I promise." Above them Jet let out a screech as the fire nation hawk landed on a branch above Aki flapping his wings wildly. He let out another screech as his hard yellow gaze fell upon Fever for an unknown reason. It was as if the hawk was observing her every move, every word to the young avatar. |

Aki looked astonished at the fact that the girl was crying. She hadn't known, but how vcould she; "I*m sorry, its just, I hurt a firebender earlier." she didn't mention that it had been many more than one, "And I was scared that it would happen again." Aki whimpered slightly and then bit her lip, cringing at the hawk above her. "Shoo." she growled. She didn't like messanger hawks, especially ones that had probably heard her say she was the avatar. She held a stream of water, ready to throw if someone didn't stop her...

Fever's eyes narrowed, and she send a gust of wind at the stream of water, sending it spraying against the gra.ss. "Don't touch Jet." She warned. "You know, just because you don't like firebenders or anything a.ssociated with them, don't go treating others that way. Neither Kai-Ching nor Jet did anything to you." She dropped her stance and rubbed her forehead, deciding to take a different approach; change the subject.
She straightened up and smiled. "Try throwing a gust of wind at me." She said, curious if she could do it on first attempt. "You just saw me, so give it a try."

"But it was watching you and it was creepy and I'm sorry." She blubbered and then heard what she said about the wind. She chewed her lip thoughtfully and, having noticed the way that Fever had moved herself, Aki tried to copy it. All she could must though was a tiny whilwind that died the moment it felt wind...

Fever blinked. "Nice, seems like you have a knack for this." She smiled. "I bet it's not easy to get it on the first try. I wouldn't really know of course, since I've been using it since I was born..." She trailed off. "Anyway, let's try something else. I'll shoot a blade of air at you, and you redirect it. No waterbending or anything; just try to take control of my wind." She took her stance, then casually flicked both wrists outward before making a slight pushing movement with her palms forward. A slice of air, thin and tall, was sent in Aki's direction. It was nearly invisible but if Aki concentrated she would be able to feel it before it reached her.

Aki closed her eyes, not a useful tactic with water, but air was different. Air was practicaly invisibly. Wise beyond her years, ?Aki realized that if she shut her eyes, she would be able to hear better and that is just what she did. She took ahold of the air and tried to push it forward, but it didn't budge, it just stayed swirling in her palms. She opened her arms in a wide arc and tossed it back, this time it went...

Kai-Ching snivled and glanced up at Aki. She saw her doing air moves. It confused her. Wasnt that girl just water bending? "Hey."she piped up as she wiped tears from her face. "I want to bend two things too!"

Fever braced herself for the oncoming wind, but Aki managed to go even further- and direct it to a young tree. It swayed briefl, but was unaffected. Fever crossed her arms. "Congratulations, you can control air. Try creating some wind this time. By yourself." She smiled. She just wanted to make it so that Aki could do the basics- create wind, manipulate it, and then use it on herself. Namely, jumping and flying.
Quickly, she turned to Kai-Ching. "I don't think you can, Kai-Ching. I'm sorry. Aki is the one person in the world who can do this." She grinned. "We can give it a try afterwards though. Okay?"

"Ummmmmmmmmm....." Aki lifted her arms and focused on air, being air, the air in front of her. She closed her eyes and drew on the strength inside of her, grabbing the air in her palm. "What now?" She wondered as she held the wind in ehr pale hands...

Fever thought for a moment. "Juggle it." She said. "Keep it spinning, and throw it from hand to hand, catching it each time before is dissipates in the air." She smiled. It would be tough- this was more about control than anything else.

"Ok" Aki concentrated and then shifted the air from hand to hand, after 5 times, it died, leavig just a faint circle on her palm. She looked at the wierd cirlce on her hand. It was strange and sort of creepy. She tried to shake it off, but it didn't budge...

Fever frowned. "You alright there?" She asked, stepping closer to see what the girl was staring at. There was a strange ring-shaped thing on her hand. It gave off a sort of ominous feel. Fever tilted her head; she had no idea what it was. Turning, she beckoned to Ti Jinh. "Come here for a second!" She said.
