Kai-Ching couldnt properly sleep so she followed that kind gentleman who said hello to her in the forest. She was hiding behind a barley barrel and watched Ti Jinh. ~ Kiggan was tackled down by Aki. He grunted as he hit the ice on the ground. "Get off."he said with a mouth of melting snow. |

If truth be told, since Fever didn't remember Ti Jinh telling her his name in the forest, it meant she didn't know it right then in the Sandbender's house. She heard Nokomis murmur it though, and a satisfied smile appeared on her pale face.
Things went downhill from there.
From the weird, heated conversation Ti Jinh and the dark-haired girl were having, they already knew eachother. Didn't sound very happy with one another though.
She heard Jet's name and mention of a hawk more than a few times.
She paused in the main room that connected to the kitchen, indecision flickering across her features. Did she listen in, or would that just end badly? If she didn't listen though, she wouldn't know what was going on. Maybe it was dangerous.
She lost all intentions of sleep as she pushed the door open silently and rushed outside, letting the door slide back into place. It was remarkably well-oiled, which worked to her advantage.
She ran in a half-crouch around the house's perimetre, and finally came across the half-open window that led into the kitchen.
She curled up on the ground, sticking close to the wall, her slender form barely visible to anyone who would pa.ss by on the streets. Her head didn't even reach the sill.
Fever tilted her head up slightly and strained her ears, listening for conversation.
Something moved though. Fever's head whipped towards the barrel that stood harmlessly amongst others. A child was hiding there, apparently watching Ti Jinh. Fever motioned to her with one hand, trying to catch her attention, then grinned at her. Ti Jinh's rather popular with the spies.
Then she held her finger up to her lips. Stay quiet.

Ka3-Ching grinned when a lady looked out and noticed her. She saw the lady beckoning to her, then giving her the quiet motion with her finger. Kai-Ching silently giggled and crept up to the windowsill to get closer to the lady. She looked up to Fever with her grey childish eyes expect for something to happen next.

"Hi, partner in crime." She whispered, so quiet that even the child would barely be able to hear it.
"You can hear them better from down here. Do you know him?" She glanced at Kai-Ching.

Kai-Ching grinned. "He feeds me on occasion and says "Hi" to be nice."she said wiggling about. "Im an orphan so I like handouts. I need 'um to live."

"Orphan?" I may as well be one. Fever thought. Memories of her drunken father kicking her as she lay crumpled on the floor, choking on her own blood, covered in bruises, flashed before her eyes. She blinked once and they were gone.
She'd left him. She was dead to him, and vice versa
"I'm sort of the same, but I'm a traveler." She said with a smile. She felt a pang in her chest when she realized she had no food to give the girl.
"I'll leave the apples in the apple tree." She said in a hushed voice. "I'll stop taking them. You need them more than I do."

"Alright." aki got off of him, bowed to her teacher, and sat down again, proud of herself for winning. she bowed to Figgens with a smile and gave a look that said better luck next time. She sat down as another was called up, but soon the day was over...

"Scared i'm going to hit you?" He asked with a slight smirk. This caused Nokomis to narrow her eyes and step forward. "Nope... but things didn't go quite well last time I visited you" "Nothing ever goes well when you visit. Your first visit, my mother was murdered and your kind took my father and sister. Second time you visit you burn down my house in Ba Sing Se. What will it be this time?" He asked balling his fist. He was not going to be moving just because this stupid firebender chose to burn down his house again. That plus his past was the only reson he moved from Ba Sing Se. "Well...First time...I was following orders and I was with my father. Second time..that was an accident. If you hadn't held a grudge your house would still be standing" Nokomis frowned opening the front door. "I guess I wont be staying then. I'm actually suprised you didn't notice me when you looked right into my face. Something must have you off your game" she smirked only to dodge a large rock that was aimed at her head. "You missed darling" Nokomis laughed but quickly moved once again as more came her way, but thankfully she was outside. "Get out of my village" Ti Jinh snapped not going to give her another warning. His sharp green eyes watched her as she surrounded herself in orange flames. "If I wanted I could let it all go" she glared back. Ti Jinh engulfed her in sand smothering the flames leaving only Nokomis. "Get out." With those words Nokomis jumped up and landed on Ti Jinh's neighbor's roof. "Next time it won't be friendly" she said before jumping on the other side of the village wall disapearing into the woods. Ti Jinh stood in his door way glaring in the direction she had went. He was not happy at this moment in time.

((I learned that Sillver Nitrate can dye skin brown if you forget to wash it off. Also, it fades away. I learned the first of these things the hard way and the second hasn't happened yet. Luckily, it is not poisoness.))

Fever stopped talking when the voices- particularly Ti Jinh's rose in anger. There was the sound of bending. Rock throwing and some flames. So she was a Firebender? It didn't really surprise her though.
She heard Ti Jinh walk away, and quickly darted to the front door. The moment she turned the corner on the house, she reeled back in surprise. Ti Jinh was standing there.
Hokay. Can't use the front door.
Window?
She slinked back to Kai-Ching's location, then glanced at the half-open kitchen window. It was too small to fit through, even for Kai-Ching.
"Go back behind the barley barrel for a second, okay? I'll go get Ti Jinh." She grinned, then finally approached the front door.
"Ti Jinh?" She said quietly. Though she was standing only a few feet from him, it was an inky dark outside, and frankly it was hard to see anything.
She waited quietly for his reaction, pale skin and eyes almost glowing in the dark.

Ti Jinh turned his glare on Fever but let it soften just a little bit. "You may stay...if you want. I'm not even going to ask how you got outside" He said letting out a large sigh spinning around going back into the house. He plopped down on a chair unwrapping his arms and legs. He wasn't bending sand anytime soon so he didn't need the bandages to protect his skin. Once he was free from those he slipped off the hooded shirt he was wearing to reveal a green under shirt. He let out a slight growl as he stared at the tattoo on his upper left arm. Dipping his head, he sunk down into the chair holding his temples trying to sort things out in his mind. This really irritated him. "Okay chick..what is your name?" he asked averting his mind to his guest glancing over at the door. He still hadn't gotten her name. Things kept interupting him. ooc:// Sorry its so short. I'm freaking out about Justin Beiber and no i'm not a fan. He's battling Shaq tonight and i'm totally routing for Shaq. (Yes i'm a freak of nature)

Fever shrugged. It wasn't what she was going to ask, but she wouldn't say anything.
And in a few minutes she was going to go get Kai-Ching.
"It's Fever." She said. Her eyes flickered along the tattoo on his arm, wondering why a low growl issued from his mouth when he set eyes on it.
"Now I have a question for you." She continued. She crossed her arms and leaned down slightly, so that she was almost level with his eyes. "What's the little orphan girl's name? I want to surprise her." Fondness crept in to her voice at the memory, but she continued to stare intently at Ti Jinh, as if willing him to realize her hint that Kai-Ching was out there, waiting.
She's outside. She's alone, she's cold, and she's hungry. I'll beat you up if you don't let her stay. She thought, her eyes narrowing into a threatening glare.

"Invite her in...tell her to raid the kitchen" He smirked shaking his head lightly. "I...have nothing to do" he sighed realizing nothing needed tended to. "Actually....where is Jet?" He asked looking around his house for the messanger hawk who seemed to disapear. |

Fever smirked, glad she had gotten a reaction out of him- one besides a growl or a sigh. He actually looked interested.
She bolted to the window, leaned out, and whispered; "Come in, there's a feast waiting for you."
She drew back inside and fell in to the plush chair on his left. "No clue. Maybe he's hunting."
She saw him get up and walk around, and worry flickered in her eyes. "Do you want me to go look for him?" She figured he actually cared about the hawk as a companion, not just a pet. She was already on her feet, throwing on her cape, tight jacket, and was starting to wrap the muffler around her neck, covering up to her nose.

Kai-Ching was happy to recieve a welcoming invitation. She leaped up and lead her large badger to the door. "Come Gwa-Ryu!"she said pulling him by his scruff into the house. She ran up to Fever and smiled with a dirty face. "Thank you! Whats your name lady?"
