Kai-Ching watched as Ti Jinh got up and went off, to his bed maybe. She layed back and Gwa-Ryu climbed up making the bed creak as he layed at the foot of the bed. Her eyes fluttered as she began to fall asleep when a pounding can from outside. Someone was banging on Ti Jinh's door. ~ "You are the Avatar."Kiggan said helping Aki up to her feet. "Your eyes began to glow and you unleashed bending of earth, water and air. Im not sure if you used fire, but now I know for a fact that you, Aki, are the new avatar." |

Once outside, Fever entered the forest. She felt the air grow quieter and stiller when she was among the thick-trunked trees and foliage. Within minutes, she noticed that the vegetation that lined the floor was making her carefultreading awfully loud.
This won't work. I might scare Jet away before I even spot him. Then where would I be?
She took to the trees instead, slipping silently among the branches. She moved quicker this way too; less things to trip over. The air, being high up, was her domain.
Something disturbed the intense darkness of the forest at night. A light, dim from where she stood. It was orange though. Definitely not natural. Not starlight or moonlight or fireflies or a spirit.
Fever crept closer, grabbing a thick branch above her and hauling herself up a few feet, easily using the trunk for support. The leaves split up here, and she was able to peer through them to make out the long, wooden pole.
Tied to it was Jet.
Flames were eating up the wood quite quickly, and the hawk was all but having a heart attack. Eyes wide, tail feathers spread, talons flailing. It was screaming too.
Fever's eyes flickered to the girl standing by the burning pole. She blinked; it was the dark-haired girl, Nokomis, who they had helped earlier. She was also the one Ti Jinh had argued with earlier, so she wasn't really surprised to see the firebender here.
Fever tensed, leaning forward, about to burst out of the tree and make a run for it with the hawk, but she began to rethink it. Nokomis didn't know she was an airbender, and it could be used to her advantage...
You don't have time for this! She told herself fiercely. Jet's about to be roasted!
She shot a blast of air at the wood where Jet was being held hostage. The fire went out immediately, and the pole ripped out of the ground, tipping over and falling to the floor.
Before Nokomis could react she pulled the pole towards her using her airbending. She was still hidden, so hopefully it would confuse Nokomis for a few seconds.
She pole crashed through the leaves, and Fever sliced through the rope with her switchblade.
"Go back to Ti Jinh! Now!" Fever hissed.

Just as Ti Jinh layed down and got comfortable he heard the banging at his front door. "What now?" He groaned rolling out of bed. It wasn't long since Fever left to go look for Jet, surely it wasn't her. It coudlnt' be her because she would have came through a window or just randomly apeared. His mind raced as he mentally prepared himself for whomever or what ever was banging on his door. He neared it and slowly pulled it open. Nokomis tensed as she watched her fire go out. She gave a deep growl watching the Hawk screech and fly back towards Chin Village. "Who's there!" she snapped as a wind caught her hair blowing her bangs away from her sharp anger filled blue eyes. "Actually...There's only two poeple who could be here. Ti Jinh...but he's not so bright as to persue me. He's never persued me soo...show yourself girl" she snapped looking around at the tree's knowing good and well she didn't come by foot or the dead leaves would have given her away. She was traveling by the trees. |

Fever smiled when Jet got away safely, then turned her attention back to Nokomis. The firebender already knew she was there, so why not reveal herself?
She was still smiling as she poked her head out of the leaves and looked down at Nokomis, twenty feet above her. "Here I am. But I'm not coming closer." She said. "I mean, by your tone it sounds like you want to kill me. No one with the slightest common sense would come down there." She rolled her eyes, then popped back under the canopy.
She turned, scrambled down a few layers, then hopped to the next tree, just for good measure.

It was a trio of fire nation guardsmen. "Excuse me sir, but we have reason to believe that you are housing a felon."the guard in front said holding up a scroll with Kai-Ching's picture on it.

Ti Jinh frowned at the fire nation guards. There was no way he was about to give up Kai-Ching. She was an orphan and a sweet little girl in his mind. Even though he had a super grudge against the fire nation this little girl had not done anything to him so he didn't care, plus in his mind he could teach her right from wrong if need be. He took a deep sigh and shook his head. "I'm not housing a felon, but the girl, not that girl, but a girl who was responsible for killing my parents and sister did come by and she fled in the forest. You should be searching for her not a kid who doesn't know any better" he shook his head before leaning against his door frame. "She begs around here, normally down the street at the shops. I've seen her sleeping in alleys but other than that I can't help you." Nokomis hissed under her breath before shaking her head. "Go back to Ti Jinh girl. He's probably missing company right now. Plus...who knows there might be trouble brewing for him. Didn't he say everytime I visted there was issues?" She actually let out a girly giggle. She was excited at the moment just from the pure thought of something happening to him again. She loved to be the bringer of bad luck. (( Why do I have a feeling Ti Jinh is in BIG trouble? lol ))

Ti Jinh frowned. "Did you not listen? I'm not housing her but she lives around the streets here. Go look for her in alleys. I said she begged around here... you must have hard hearing" he frowned as his green eyes hardened. He was not pleased with this midnight hour visit. "If you would please, I am extremly tired. I work for my living and it involves getting up early. Are we done here?" He asked obviously annoyed at the officer's visit. (( Because of that. ^.^ He's not a big Fire nation fan and can be a pain in the you know what. ^.^ )) |

Fever's face brightened, and genuinely smiled at Nokomis. "Okay, see you later then."
She made her way back to Chin; on the way she picked two apples from the tree, one for the orphan girl and one for Ti Jinh. The journey back was much quicker, since she didn't have to be careful of making noise or watch for Jet. She dropped casually out of the tree, landing easily and lightly though she had been fifteen feet up.
Immediately she saw the guards crowding Ti Jinh's doorway, and blinked, kind of hoping they hadn't seen her jump out from that height.She wasn't really in the mood for questions.
She shouldered her way through the two guards, as if subtly showing what she thought of them. Lawkeepers had always bugged her.
"Why is the Fire Nation guard here?" She asked to no one in particular, shooting the officers a chilling stare.

The officers glared and left. The mumbled something about asking peoplle and searching everywhere. Kai-Ching was sound asleep in the back room. Unaware of what was going on.

Fever watched them go, then let her ex
pression soften. "What was that about?" She murmured to Ti Jinh. "I missed it, sorry."
She pulled her muffler down and breathed in the crisp night air. "I got Jet though. He was with Nokomis, tied to a burning wooden rod." She tilted her head. "Hasn't he arrived yet?"

Ti Jinh turned and looked at Fever his cold green eyes not softening. He shut the door and sighed walking to the back room ignoring her questions for a moment and watched Kai-Ching sleep. Finially his green eyes softened as he watched her for a few miniutes. She reminded him of his little sister in a way which tugged at his heart. Silently he shut the bedroom door and walked back to where Fever was. "They wanted her. She's a criminal of the fire nation obviously. I told them she was a begger around here and that I wasn't housing her" he said quietly glancing at the door. "And about Jet no he hasn't come home. If you freed him he should end up flying through the window soon and attacking me for leaving him alone" He wasn't really worried about Jet anymore figuring if she let him go he would come home almost immediatly. He was probably hunting before he came back. |

A grumbling sound could be heard at the foot of Kai-Ching. Gwa-Ryu was growling at the window. He got up and clawed at Ti Jinh's leg.

Ti Jinh winced and glanced down at Gwa-Ryu. He frowned before bending down looking at him. "What's wrong?" He asked looking into the creatures eyes. He glanced over at the room Kai-Ching was in before shaking his head. He walked over to the door to her room not sure exactly what Gwa-Ryu wanted from him. "Is it jet? Did he come through the wrong window?" he asked curiously. This was one of the moments where he wished creatures could actually speak. |

Fever blinked. "Oh, really? Well, she's not going anywhere." She said firmly, in a manner that said, 'Obviously.'
Her head whipped in the direction of the growling, worried for a moment if some creature had gotten in and was mauling Kai-Ching, but it was just the badger mole that had come with Kai-Ching. Obviously they were companions.
It was grumbling at the window at first, then proceeded to claw at Ti Jinh's leg. Fever frowned, having no idea what the creature meant. It could be anything from There are Fire Nation troops outside to I want some fresh air.
"What do you mean?" She asked it. "Show us."
