Kiggan sighed as he saw bruises on his arm. "Calm yourself...we must leave. Fire nation gaurdsmen will arrive tomorrow to the village." he said as his nose began to bleed. "If they knew that you were the avatar, then it would mean the worst outcome for everyone."

Jet screeched before dropping the paper and glaring at the Gwa-Ryu. Jet placed his beak to Ti Jinh's cheek, who wans't paying attention to the hawk. He jumped forward and to Fever's side and lightly placed his hand on her shoulder. "Your bleeding" He frowned a little irriatated at her actions. Did she not understand Jet knew how to dodge danger, but then again he couldn't be that irritated because she didn't know Jet personally.

"Come. Lets get that wound patched" he said releasing his hand from her shoulder and motioining out of the door towards the kitchen. "She should be safe tonight, but its morning i'm worried about. I"m not giving her to them no matter how much I hate firebenders" he commented before exiting the bedroom and headin towards the kitchen.

Ti Jinh frowned grabbing a damp rag and spinning around placing it to her neck. "Yeah...your fine I can tell" he said sacrasticly shaking his head lightly. "You really need to get some rest. It's not good to be awake all the time."

He carefully wipped away the blood from her neck also making sure it didn't reach her clothes. "It's not that deep which is good. It will heal quickly" he commented softly. "Just...hold this to your neck until it stops bleeding. All I can do, i'm not a healer" he shrugged but flinched when Jet sreeched into Ti Jinh's ear flying to the bedroom. "Hey. I never really got to thank you for saving Jet."

Fever grinned slightly. "Get some rest? Probably can't. Insomnia's been stalking me." She said. Then she realized that today would mark one week of no sleep. She almost laughed out loud. According to some expert healers in the Water Tribe, one week without sleep could kill you.

Oh, well. I'll be fine for another day or so.

She took the cloth from him and pressed it to her neck, doing as he told her. The cold press was soothing, and she relaxed the muscles she hadn't even known were tense.

"You don't need to. I was doing it for myself as well." She smiled, though the ex
pression was oddly sad. "I... know what it's like to lose everyone you love. If I hadn't gone out to search..." Her ex
pression darkened. "I would never forgive myself." She whispered.

The way she spoke sounded as if she still wouldn't forgive herself for something that happened in the past, even if her words suggested the present.

Ti Jinh frowned and reached forward touching her right shoulder lightly. "A lot's happened, but you can't ever go back and change things no matter how hard you want to. Yes dealing with things afterwards is hard has hell, but you can't really dwell on the past" he said mainly trying to absorb the information himself and try to convince himself that more than her.

"I do need to thank you, because even though I hate Jet with a heavy heart because who his owner was, I can't stand to loose him. He was my responsability and now that little girl in there is to" he said randomy glancing at the bedroom Kai-Ching slept in. "She reminds me of my little sister and the Fire nation took her. I won't let them take this child who, well I can't say innocent because the whole nation is looking for her, but what ever she did...it was probably on accident or well...I can't judge a kid. I feel as if I have to help her. I have to keep her safe no matter what happens to me." His heart was heavy and he felt the same warm fuzzy feeling when looking at Kai-Ching as he did when he was with his sister. In a way this was his way to make up for not being there for his family when they needed him.

Ti Jinh frowned and removed his hand from her shoulder. "Your not like them" he said flatly shaking his head. "And neither is the girl. I wouldn't hesitate to lay down my life for either of you" he said as a weak smile found its way to his face, but just as quickly as the smile apeared he lost it.

"My mother was murdered by the owner of Jet. I killed him with my bare hands, but I was to late to save my father and sister. I was too busy avenging my mother's death that I had completly forgoten about my family. They were taken from me and I was left all alone in a burning villlage. I still don't know if my sister or father is alive, but I do know the only thing linking me to them is our tattoos. All of my family got them just in case something like that happened. We were prepared, but obviously not enough" he sighed averting his gaze to the floor.
