Mason stood up suddenly at the sound of someone's voice. It was probably his new roommate so he tried to scramble to the door but tripped over his backpack. He fell flat on his face with a loud 'oof'. The vibration of his fall jarred the dresser and a small decoration fell right on his head. He groaned and pushed himself up to a sitting position, rubbing his head. That had really hurt and even if the other male hadn't seen him, he still felt humiliated. He rubbed his face with the back of his hand, trying to get rid of the violent heat in his cheeks. It wouldn't go away so he sighed and stood up, sliding out of his room and closing the door behind him. "Hello?" he asked, looking around.

Ryu jolted slightly when his first name was shouted out. He recognized the voice and walked over to the group. Yuki hissed slightly at the snake and Ryu pet her head to calm her down. "Shh, it wont eat you." he muttered before looking back up to Aryia and Marco. "Hello, Valone-chan." he greeted, being unnecessarily formal. His father had been Japanese and even though he'd learned English more as a first language then Japanese, he still used the honorific titles. "How are you enjoying the school so far, Valone-kun?" he asked, turning to Marco.

Marco nudged Aryia. "Does Ash always act like this?" He asked, eyeing the weird girl. She seemed rather unsocial, and was acting strangely. He shivered at her grin.

Aryia shrugged, oblivious to her brother's slight fear. "I don't know. I don't really talk to her much." She turned to Ryu. Aryia wanted to roll her eyes at his formalness, but she told herself not to, since this was what Ryu was accustomed to. "Good morning to you too, Takuya-kun." She replied. She elbowed Marco in the ribs to do the same thing.

Marco made a little 'ow' sound when his sister elbowed him. Rubbing his chest, he nodded his head awkwardly. 'May as well be nice. He is my roommate, after all.' Marco thought. "I think this school is alright so far, um," Marco glanced at Aryia. "Takuya-kun." He finished off.

((Ohhh, I see, nevermind. xD))

Keb's shoulder pressed against the white wooden doorframe to his room, watching as the first year scrambled out of his room, tripping on his backpack. Knowing that that must be an embaras.sing introduction, the senior pretended not to notice, raising his free hand in an attempt to say hello. Being the way he was, Keb wasn't exactly sociable. He was friendly and kind, gentle and handsome, but there was a peculiar air about him that made sure that he didn't need attention to survive. Perfectly happy in the background, was how one person had described him before, which had felt like a sharp knife dug into his heart. Naturally, Keb wanted to be noticed, his stoic behaviour creating a tiny bit of lonliness in the boy. As important as it was to him to maintain his earth-like behavior, it still hurt to be called a wallflower, since his natural instinct was to lead.

His eyes snapped back to the boy, having had wandered off as his thought process had snowballed into corn. "Hello." He mumbled, quietly, quite different from what he had called out earlier. "I'm Keb. You a new student?" Blood rushed to his head, in an attempt to be friendly with the younger boy, not entirely used to talking first. Usually he waited to be spoken to, then replying as straight-to-the-point as he could, avoiding awkward situations. Keb felt as if he had just walked himself into one, but decided that he would plow through the conversation to pull out of the awkward mud. After all, he would be sharing a dorm with this boy for the rest of the year, he might as well get used to it.

Poppy walked down the hall, making sure she carefully stepped on every tile in a row. After every three tiles she clapped twice. She was happy that her mother wasn't there to tell her off and make her lose count. A new kid walked past and stared at her strangely, but she hardly noticed. Once she got to the end of the tiles, and got to the door, she stopped and walked through happily, her heels bouncing up and down. A few kids were out there, and seeing Ash in her wolf form, she walked over.

"Hello Ash!" She exclaimed. Remembering her hands, she rubbed them and hid them behind her back. She didn't want Ash to worry. She would have to make sure not to do it again. "What's up?"

Aryia looked around. "Oh hey, it's Poppy!" She called. "Hi, Poppy!" She waved them at the girl that was approaching the small group that was forming. "This is my brother, Marco. He's new around here, and I was showing him around the school." Aryia grinned at her brother.

Marco shoved his hands into his pockets. "You sure have a lot of friends, Aryia." He mumbled. His sister was extremely optimistic and cheerful, so he guessed it was easy to be around her. Him, on the other hand...

Ryu's mouth twitched in a small smile. He appreciated their effort to follow his customs, even if they weren't Japanese. "I'm glad," he said, placing his hands on his hips to make his arms more comfortable. "We can't have all our new students being scared out, now can we." He raised an eyebrow as he looked at Ash. He knew what she was up to. Yuki hissed slightly. She didn't really like shapeshifters. They very well could end up eating her if Ryu wasn't watching her. Ryu shrugged before turning back Aryia. "Were you the one at the door a bit earlier?" he asked, rubbing his right shoulder absentmindedly. The area was still sore from landing on his wing.

Mason looked up when he heard Keb's voice again. He gave the older male a small smile. "Yes, I'm Mason. This is my first year here." He doubted Keb hadn't noticed him fall but he was at least glad that he wasn't going to point it out to him. He was nervous about sharing a dorm with an upperclas-smen, but at least the guy didn't seem like a bully. 

Poppy tapped her toe impatiently. "You could be a little more enthusiastic." She said. "We're back at school! We can be ourselves here. No hiding." She couldn't help but throw her hands in the air. "We're back at school, we're back at school." Poppy hated it in the forest, alone. School was the only way she made friends. "Oh, hello Aryia!" She said and waved excitedly. Seeing her scarred hand, she dropped it and blushed.

Remael woke late. He glared at the cieling of his dorm room as he listned to the announcement that had woken him. Oh, how he hated that principle... at least there were no clas.ses today. With a sigh, Remael got up from his bed. His arm was shifted for some reason, the scales glinting in the weak light filtering in from the closed shades. With an effort, he shifted it back. Where there was once a claw and scales, was now a regular, human arm, covered in slightly shimmering marks. Groaning, he moved to his dresser, ppulling out his customary pair of jeans and black shirt.

As she slipped into them, his attention was caught by voices outside. Glancing through the gap in the blinds, he saw that there were people already out in the garden, of which his room's view consisted. "Huh...." He grunted.

His roomate had obviously not arrived yet, for which Remael was thankful. The reactions people gave to his appearance were varied, but not by much. Very few remained comfortable around people like him, people who's second nature aare permanently embedded in one of thier features. In Remael's case, it was the pair of shiny black horns jutting out of his head. He did, however, like the effect it had over people he didn't like, especially when combined with his eerie eyes. On that thought, Remael smiled, walking out the door to head towards the garden where he would see if he could find any second years he still knew.

Poppy jumped when she saw Ash shift. She was never going to get used to it. An itch at the back of her neck reminded her that she needed to clean her hands, fast. "Uh, excuse me for a moment." She ran to her dorm, and into her bathroom. She turned the hot tap on and ran her hands under it. She scrubbed as hard as she could, even though it hurt. She couldn't help it, she wanted to stop. But her body kept rubbing, until her hands were red and raw, and she turned the tap off.

"Why, Poppy?" She asked herself, sitting on her bed. She couldn't understand it; why was it her that had to have disorders? That she had to wash her hands constantly, until they almost bled? That she had to take the stairs up to the top floor four steps in one, even if she fell and scraped her knees on the sharp edges of the steps? That she had to walk on each tile separately on the way outside, and had to clap after every three tiles? She had no control on what she did.
