[ Totally forgot about the med cat posts.

We need more warriors & apprentices, not to mention a leader for DawnClan and medicine cats and/or their apprentices for both clans. Invite your friends or make up more cats for the roles ; having several high-ranking positions is OK since not many people are joining xD ]

Falconstar clawed at the hard stone floor of his den as he stretched himself awake. Padding out of the den he welcomed the early rays of sunlight into his soul as it filtered through the thick canopy of leaves encircling IceClan territory and illuminating the empty clearing. He noted to himself that he would go to  Dreamsplash's den later on to check on her herb collection - the clan would need many of those in the coming bitter winter.

Willowleaf's ears twitched as she scented movement in the clearing - she disliked being disturbed from her sleep, especially as she had sneaked out on hunting trip the previous night alone. She had hunted till the early morning and had barely caught a wink of sleep when she heard rustling from the clearing. Giving up her attempt to catch some sleep, she padded out to the clearing and was greeted by a worried Falconstar pacing around the clearing, troubled. "Good morning, Falconstar," She called wearily, itching to go back to sleep.

"Good morning, Willowleaf." Falconstar called back. He knew of the she-cat's habit of going out to hunt alone at night and could sense her lethargy that morning. "Go back to the den; you need rest. We will be carrying out a major hunting trip today to prepare for winter's arrival."

Willowleaf nodded, more than happy to go back to sleep. She padded wearily back to the den and curled up at the back of the den where she was least likely to be disturbed.

Bluefrost shook himself awake as a cold breeze swept into the warrior's den. No one was awake ; he resorted to practice-hunting on a defenseless weed to entertain himself. "Take that! And that!" He yowled, scraping up the weed and flinging it aside. He wished that it were a bird or mouse instead - that would be far more entertaining than the battle against the weed that lasted only seconds. He padded over the the stream that flowed past the warrior's den and took a sip of water as he picked up an almost lifeless guppy from the water -  it was barely able to fill his rumbling stomach, but the food could wait till later.

Regan fumbled through the last trashcan before she decided to hunt a bird instead. Food was next to unobtainable on the streets where the twolegs restricted themselves from littering. The coming frost would do her no good - frozen food was not easy on a cat's stomach. Sighing, she decided that going hungry would be the easiest choice for her.

[ ._. Well. IceClan has no apprentices ; you can do DawnClan's. Also ; the old Daydream etc? OMGILOVEDTHEM. /loss of self restraint. Btw, Stormrunner's (Snowy's cat.) deputy.]

"Good morning Thornfire." Falconstar called, a note of worry in his voice. He glanced at the warrior, who had gone to sit by a shady area as he sauntered proudly to it. That cat never stops showing off. He thought in amusement ;  Thornfire was a denmate when he was a kit. He would prance around in pride as he won little races between his littermates and triumphantly raise his head as he circled the clearing when he caught his first piece of prey as an apprentice. Adulthood had not changed Thornfire much.

Bluefrost raised his head from the stream. "I'm up for a little hunting this morning, Skybreeze." He volunteered. The deputy had a strong aura of leadership around him, and few cats defied him. Most followed his orders or even volunteered to - he would prove to be a successful leader if given a chance.

Willowleaf sensed the clan rustling awake as a steady hum of conversation floated around the clearing, not necessarily the cat type only, but birds were singing and as a breeze swept past the clearing, the trees leaned closed for a whisper. She lay motionless for a few heartbeats before licking her paw and padding out into the clearing. She raised her head to drink in some of the early morning air as she did so.

Bluefrost bounded over in excitement to the tree stump. Hunting was one of his favourite clan activities.

[ Failpost. ]

Willowleaf nodded. "Sure," She meowed to the deputy. "Come on, Dreamsplash, we have to find Thornfire." Sweeping a speck of dust off the medicine cat's shoulder in respect before adding, "Hang on ; would you wait here a second? I have to look for Sleetpaw." She bounded over to the apprentice den, placing a paw on Sleetpaw's head. "Sleetpaw, we have to go on the Dawn Patrol." She announced to the bright apprentice. Although Willowleaf preferred solitary activities, she didn't mind taking her apprentice along if it would benefit the Clan. Yet a part of her cringed at the thought of socialization.

Falconstar noted Dreamsplash sitting alone. "Dreamsplash, how are the herbs going? Winter is arriving, and we would benefit from a steady flow of herbs. While on the Dawn Patrol you may want to collect some on the way." He informed the medicine cat.

Bluefrost nodded, padding over to the large tree stump he had played by as a kit and loved so much. The tree stump was everything he wanted it to be - with a little bit of imagination it could become a large cat prowling through a forest, coming to invade DawnClan territory, or the Highrock as he pretended to be leader of DawnClan. He glanced at the deep claw-marks on the tree stump that he had created as a kit as he was fighting the legendary tree stump.

Regan noted the distant figure of a cat sitting on a fence. She pricked her ears in wonder ; it couldn't be a rogue or loner, they never went past the fence, or even sit on it. Nor could it be a pampered kittypet. Regan bounced over to the cat sitting on the fence curiously to watch what was beyond the fence that made all the rogues and loners shudder and vow against going past the fence.
