Drakine bobbed her head into a "Your welcome," before she turned her black eyes back to the book. But she couldn't keep focused since the words started to blur on the pages. In other words; sugar crash. Her black eyes blinked tiredly as she glanced up at Drake when he talked; just not realizing that he was standing at her shoulder. She nodded once, abit slowly, and stood as she gently closed the text she had been reading.

Ooc; LOL at that face. xD and he doesn't want to ruin things with Drakine. ;~;

She blinked slowly as she looked up at him and Drake chuckled. She surprised him when she stood, the two extremely close cooped up against the wall as they were. He didn't move though, just watched as she closed the book. He blinked as he looked at her, his hands straying to where hers lingered on the book. "I'm glad I showed this to you," he murmured.

Drakine curled her fingers slightly as Drake put his on the cover of the ancient text. Hesitating slightly, she placed her hand on the table instead of the book. "I'm glad I got to see this. It really amazing to see all these ancient texts and I find myself wondering how they survived after all this time and --" Drakine cut herself off as she realized she would have started to ramble about it all and her face flushed slightly.

Ooc; *goes to listen to it*

"Well, someone must have cared about them as much as we do," he said softly as she moved her hand away from his. He drew his hands back, fingers curling slightly as he did; he wasn't about to let her go that easily. He smiled softly and the breath of a chuckle escaped him as he searched Drakine's face.

"You don't blush often, do you?" he asked, and curled his fingers tighter as he resisted the urge to brush them across her cheek. "I like it," he admitted and glanced away from her eyes.

Realizing, she had been blushing by his question, she tilted her head down slightly so her eyes were watching the floor. But when he admitted that he liked it, her face turned scarlet. Sure, she blushed... When she was a lot younger and didn't have her powers to control as she did not. But this was probably the first time she openly blushed infront of a boy. 'Ah, sh!t,' she thought.

When he flickered his gaze back to her eyes, he saw them looking down at the floor. His lips were set in a straight line, though a flush of heat ran through his skin as Drakine's flushed cheeks turned an even brighter color. "Did I do that?" he murmured and blinked when he realized one cold hand was just a breath away from her cheek.

To hell with it, he thought to himself and ran his thumb across her cheek bone, his eyes never leaving hers as his fingers strayed to her chin. He gently pushed her chin up in an attempt to get her eyes to meet his, but he found his neck craning down slightly, too.

Drakine didn't hear what he had murmured, she was too busy trying to figure out why she was blushing so fiercely. But when she felt his cold thumb run across her cheek bone, all thought-processes stopped as she felt the chills left behind as it ran through her hot skin. The chills continued as he moved his fingers to her chin as he gently pushed it up. Her eyes blinked slightly as she gazed at him; his eyes. Confusion was clear in her's.

Drake's breath hitched in his throat when her confused eyes looked at his. "Your skin is hot," he breathed, but he didn't take his hand from her face. Instead, he cupped her cheek in his palm and craned his neck even lower so his lips were only a breath from hers. His eyes searched hers for a moment before he lightly brushed his lips against hers, waiting only a moment before he pushed a bit more and really kissed her. His mouth burned as it lingered on hers, but he didn't mind in the least, actually feeling warm from the heat she emanated.

Drakine's eyes widened slightly as she felt his lips on hers. Soft, questioning... cold. The lingering touch continued to send chills through her skin, slowling cooling her off. And making her want more... for reasons she could not comprehend. Her mouth opened a bit and the confusion in her eyes was quickly over taken by a pleading look.

Unwavering heat seared Drake's lips and quickly spread to his cheeks, and stretched down his neck. Her flame was addicting, and she wanted him, too. He watched her confusion disappear from her eyes as she parted her lips in the kiss. He chuckled softly into her mouth and molded his lips against hers. His hands left her face to caress her shoulders for a moment before brushing her sides and falling to rest on her hips.

Then Storm just happens to come in and ruins the moment. I'd laugh.

Everywhere he touched, chills followed after. The nice chills that came when you just listened to a really good song. On their own accord, her arms moved as she rested her palms against his chest before sliding upwards to cross at the wrists behind his neck. Her eyes fluttered close as she relaxed against him, giving into his kiss.

Ooc; I thought about doing that, but figured Storm has already pissed Drake off enough. |D

More flame sparked on his chest and he could feel Drakine's fingertips through the fabric of his shirt. Warmth spread out from his neck to spider down his spine as she wrapped her arms around him. His grip on her tightened and he instinctively deepened the kiss. He closed the rest of what little space was between them, hips brushing against hers. Reluctantly, he pulled his lips from hers, but gave her a gentle kiss on the corner of her mouth.

"I don't want to ask too much of you," he murmured. "But I want you, Drakine, and I need you to want me, too," he breathed. Though he had stopped to talk to her, he hadn't removed his hold on her hips nor had he stepped away from her.

A low, growl rose from her throat as he deeped the kiss and closed the space between them. Though, when he pulled his lips back slightly, her forked tongue flicked out. The tips touching his chin slightly before retreating back into her mouth. Her brows furrowed together as she listened to him, her ears pricked when he mentioned that he wanted her, and that he needed her to want him as well.

A myriad of emotions clashed within her. Some she couldn't even name. In the end, she just rested her head against Drake's chest as she attempted to sort out her warrior emotions.

His chin was still warm from the blistering heat of her draconic tongue, and when she placed her head on his chest, he closed his eyes and kissed the top of her head. His hands slid to the small of her back and he wrapped his arms around her to pull her into a sort of hug, the heat of her touch not as unbearable as before. He realized with a shock that for the moment, they had managed to balance each other out.

"I won't push you, but I won't give up on you either," he murmured into her hair. "Want me to take you back to your room?" he asked quietly.

Ooc; I could so see Storm knocking on Drakine's door after Drake leaves and he'd have this whole moment where he's like, "my brother cares about you, go be with him," 'cept all meaningful and stuff. xD

Drakine moved her arms from their current position until they were closer to her chest, bent at the elbow with palms flat on Drake's. Her head had also moved so it was now pressed against his chest so she could hear his heartbeat. It has been too long since she heard its noise. Her black eyes closed slightly as it lulled her and she almost missed Drake's question, but managed to hear enough of it to replied; "Yes, please."

Oh god, how he wanted to stay like that, in that moment with her, for a bit longer. But, he could see the exhaustion that dragged at her and he moved his hands to the middle of her back to support her more. He shifted the weight on his feet, hesitating at the thought of picking her up, she seemed so tired, but he thought that would be too much for her. He didn't want to have her angry with him when she was rested, or worse, ignore him.

"Yes, please." She said with her head still placed on his chest. Knowing he'd have to move sometime, he lifted his right arm from her back and held her close with his left, gently tugging her toward the spiralled stairs, dipping down once to blow out a few candles until the atmosphere was pitch dark. He blinked a few times, but he really didn't need his eyes to navigate the small room; he'd been here enough to know where everything was.

Feeling he should offer anyway, he chuckled softly and glanced down at her, though he could only see the silhouette of her frame in the darkness. "You look dead on your feet," he said softly. "I'll carry you if you want."

Drakine felt herself being tugged towards the stairs and she nearly tripped over her own feet as she mindlessly followed Drake. The darkness that came when he blew out the candles made it nearly impossible for her to see. Nearly, well, because she was already half asleep to begin with. At his comment, she mumbled, "I feel dead on my feet," as she started to slouch against Drake's side.

Wordlessly, Drake bent down and scooped his arms under her legs. He supported her back with his other arm and cradled her against his chest, wincing only slightly as her warm body pressed against his otherwise cold skin. He liked the flaming touch too much for his own good, or so he said to himself. His muscles flexed as he held her, of course, but there was only the slightest sign of strain in his eyes; she was light.

He continued up the steps with ease and blinked when the dim light of the library hit his eyes. He slouched to one side and dipped one hand into his pocket to hastily pulled the book out from earlier. He shoved it back into its place and the secret door slid back into its original place.

"Alright, let's get you to your room," he said to her and pursed his lips. He wanted to ask about tomorrow, if she wanted to see him again, but he wasn't going to pester her like this. No, he didn't want to push her.

He almost sighed with relief when they hadn't run into Storm by the time he'd reached Drakine's hallway. He set her down on her feet and thought of giving her some distance, but instead, he held her protectively, a bit scared she would drop to the ground if he didn't hold her up. He opened her door hesitantly and waited for her to either push him away or lead him inside. His face flushed at the latter thought.

When Drake had scooped her up into his arms, Drakine blinked slightly; her eyes wide. But she soon relaxed in his arms and rested her head against his shoulder as her black eyes started to flutter close. She barely registered him moving until she felt her feet land on a relatively flat surface. It was then, that she opened her heavy lids to attempt to figure out where she was.

Oh, hey. There's her room.

Her black eyes gazed at the open door that lead into her room. Slowly, she turned her attention to Drake and gazed up at him behind rising to her toes and giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Whispering a tired, "Thank-you," she stepped away from him. Wobbled a little, but otherwise making it into her room without falling over. She closed her door gently behind her.

Moving over to her bed, she undressed quickly and pulled on her pajamas before collapsing on her bed in an exhausted heap. Pulling the hairband out of her hair, she tossed it on the floor and pulled the covers up to her chin as she rolled over slightly; letting sleep take her.
