Drakine snapped her jaws closed and turned her head towards the mansion. Her eyes clicked close before she opened them again. Huffing out a sigh, she slowly furled her wings against her scaled sides and moved away from Storm as she shifted back into her human form. Though, the pattern of scales were etched into her skin and her hands were draconic. Remnents of her anger that would soon fade. "I wonder what for," she murmured as she walked inside the mansion.

Drake glanced backwards at his brother once, anger still simmering in his cold-as-ice eyes. He moved off to follow Drakine, but Storm scrambled up and yanked his shoulder back. Drake turned slightly, head docked to one side, a stony ex pression set on his face as he set his piercing gaze on his brother. "You know that freaks me out," Storm said uncomfortably. "Look. I know you care about her. Jesus, I think everyone knows how much you love her except for the dragon-girl herself. Please manage something on the trip I, well, managed to sign you two up on." Drake stared at his brother for a few moments before his icy gaze melted and he pulled Storm into a sort of awkward hug. Nodding tersely to him once, Drake followed after Drakine. "Think something could be wrong?" he thought to himself, though voiced the question so Drakine could comment if she wanted. Ooc; Do we have any idea what they're going to do?

OoC:// Nope. And I am dead tired.... -_-; Work tomorrow and I need to start/finish my two summer reading books for Monday.... And I shall now be poofing off to bed... G'night~! BiC:// Drakine shrugged her shoulders. "Not sure," she replied as she bounded up a staircase; taking it two steps at a time. "Probably something mission-related or some crap like that." When she reached the top of the stairs, her jaw clentched as the scale imprints on her skin faded away in a flash of blinding pain. Her hands had aslo changed back to something looking human-ish. Only her nails remained claw-looking.

Drake followed her up to the top of the steps, eyes on her back as she jumped up the stairs. He stopped when she did and found his hand straying to the small of her back. "I wouldn't mind going on a mission with you," he said with a grin before removing his hand and opening the door to his right. The headmaster sat at his desk, long white beard flowing down onto the map he held in front of him. He looked up at them upon entry and grinned, the corners of his eyes crinkling slightly in the smile. "Just the two I wanted to see," he said. "Come in, come in. I have a job for you two."

OoC:// O.O Dumbledore, when did you stop being a wizard? BiC;// Drakine followed Drake into the headmaster's office. Her black eyes roamed around the room as she checked her blinds; just to make sure othing was going to sneek up on them. Then, they settled on the map in the headmaster's hands for a moment before flicking to the man himself. She cocked her head to one side and asked; "Will this job be enjoyable?" A slightly evil smirk curved her lips as her eyes narrowed slightly.

Ooc; lol xD I should give him half-moon glasses, too. The headmaster tilted his head slightly to match Drakine's movement, a twinkle of amusement clear in his unnatural violet eyes. He answered Drakine's smile with a grin, and pointed to Drake. "If you don't mind his companionship, this should be quite the adventure." He looked back down to the map and pointed with one slender finger to a circled part on the map. "These people have heard of our safehold and our scouts tell us that they plan to raid the school and take the land for themselves." He frowned slightly and tapped his finger against the paper. "I'd like for you two to take care of this." He patted his sides and slid his hand past the long violet robes he wore and Drake heard the crinkle of paper. The headmaster pulled out a small scroll and held it out to them; Drake took it, but did not open this. "This is a letter that pleads for us to be left alone. If things don't work out that way, I'm sure you two will figure something out. I trust you," he said with a nod and pushed the map towards the two. With that, he turned and left his office. Drake could hear his footsteps echoing throughout the stone halls, ancient up here compared to the more modern rooms that had been redone a few years ago. Drake fingered the edges of the map and scanned the various landmarks and markings on it. "Looks like we've got quite the journey," he commented. -Whooo thought of something.-

Drakine cocked her head as her eyes gazed at the map, she didn't even notice the headmaster leave the office until she heard his footsteps on old stone stairs. Twitching her fingers slightly, she let them rest on the paper of the map as she stared at the circle. Though, she nodded slightly at Drake's comment. Her black eyes blinked once before they flicked to the location of where the school stood. "If we are to deliever that message safely, we might need to take colours of peace to show that we personally mean no harm. Though, I also think that we should be armed in a display of power so they don't mess with us," Drakine said as her black eyes flicked from the map to Drake. Her's searching his.

"We'll be buddhist warriors," Drake declared as he glanced down to pool over the map again. He guessed the headmaster wanted them to take it with them so he marked out the first suitable rest-stop for them, a rocky canyon that would provide shelter to them if something natural wanted to get in their way. He pocketed the map and rested his hands lightly on Drakine's shoulders, stern eyes also a bit soft as he looked at her. "Last night. Did you really let me kiss you or was that a dream?" he asked with a small smile.

Drakine grinned slightly at his declaration and removed her fingers from the map as he marked a goot rest-stop on the paper. Her thoughts slipped slightly into what weapons she might want to bring if going dragon and using Hellfire weren't an option. As she decided on two katana that felt familiar in her hand, she felt Drake's hands reast lightly on her shoulders. She blinked as she looked at him and a brow raised at his stern, but soft, blue eyes. Her black eyes blinked and went wide slightly as she listened to his question. Tilting her head to one side, she closed her eyes and sighed before rocking forward to her toes to kiss Drake full on the lips.

His head tilted automatically as Drakine leaned closer to him. Her lips met his and that same stinging touch of fire blistered for a moment before warming his mouth. He kissed her back before pulling away, a foolish grin making its way to his face. "Definitely better than I remembered," he said before he dropped his hands from her shoulders. "I'll let you get packed and such, and we'll meet in the courtyard?" he asked. "Also, we flying or going on horseback?" he added, the thought of them two entering these people's camp in their mythic form brought different ideas to mind, none ending too well.

Drakine lowered herself back into her heels as Drake pulled away. Her lips curved into a smile as her black eyes blinked. At his questions, she considered the options. Well, the option for the latter question. None of the outcomes she had thought of turned out rather well. "I'll meet you there. And I think we'd better go on horseback," she said.

"Alright," Drake said before pushing the map deeper into his pocket and turning to leave the room. The headmaster's footsteps had ceased to reach his ears a while ago, so he was comforted by the sound of his own rhythmic beat of his sneakers against the carpeted floors of the hallways. He half expected Storm would be around the corner to either piss him off before leaving or give him some cryptic words that would leave Drake to ponder over on the journey. When he reached his room, he grabbed a black backpack that he really never used and packed a few changes of clothing in there. He ran his eyes through the room to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything and, after a moment's hesitation, he packed a few power bars in the outside pocket of the bag. He zipped up the backpack and slung it over his shoulder before departing his room. After grabbing the sword he had used earlier, and a switchblade he stuck in the side of his pants, against his thight, he made his way to the courtyard. When he reached the small set-up, he sat down on one of the three benches, the trickle of a stream behind him clear in his ears as he waited.

Drakine waited for Drake to leave first before exiting the room as she heard his footsteps fade. Closing the door behind her, she walked down to her own room, stretching her arms as she went. As soon as she got to her room, she pulled out a crimson and black backpack that she used on her last mission. Which was a good five years ago. Packing a couple sets of clothes and a brush for her hair. Zipping the main compartment closed, she made her way to the gym. She planed on bringing a single katana with her. And maybe a dagger. But, her black eyes zeroed in on two swords with the curving style of a katana. There blades were black. "No way," she muttered as she curled her fingers around the pommel. "After all these years, they are finally finished." Twirling them slightly, she watched as black flames swirled up from the blades before engulfing them completely. Her lips curved into a wide grin. The flames vanished and Drakine sheathed both the swords as she grabbed both the scabbards one hand. Slinging the backpack's shoulder strap around one of her own, she walked to the courtyard. Seeing Drake sitting on of the three benches, she moved closer to him before speaking, "Sorry to keep you waiting," with a slight smile.

Drake heard rather than saw Drakine approach. He turned toward her, solemn face lightening at her appearance, and he grinned when he saw her smiling. "No worries," he said and stood from the bench. He hefted his pack and gestured with his chin toward the stables. "Ready when you are," he said as he held his hand out to her for her to lead the way.

Drakine grin's widened slightly at his own smile. "Good, 'cause I'm ready to hit the road," she said as she moved towards the stables. Pausing only slightly to clasp Drake's hand in hers as she pulled him along behind her.

Drake didn't expect her to grab his hand and basically tug him off to the stables, but he chuckled and followed after her. He matched his pace to her own and slipped his hand more comfortably in hers, pursing his lips as he did so. The stables came into view and he led her over to them, a few of the nickers from the horses reaching his ears. He looked for a strong steed, one that would be able to take the journey. No one really claimed the horses, but he knew which ones were some students' favorites, so he stayed away from those. In the end--he'd released Drakine's hand by then--, he picked a rather fit white horse with a gray snout, and a smattering of gray freckles along its body. Because it was tethered to a post, he figured one of the kids had tied him there and had forgotten about him. He frowned and ran his hands along the leather saddle that ran acroos the beast's back, fingers brushing against the blanket under the saddle for the horse's comfort. He tugged on the saddle strap to make sure it was secure before he untied the rope from the post. He unclipped the rope from the horse's lead and slipped on its bridle; the bit took quite a bit of nudging to get into its mouth. Once satisfied with the reigns on, Drake mounted the beast and rocked back and forth in the saddle as he edged the beast out onto the dirt road. Ooc; I dunno horses sooo. xD

Drakine had moved off when Drake had let go of her hand. Her black eyes roamed the pastures for a horse and she spotted him by his black and white splattered fur. She smiled and raised two fingers to her lips as she let out a shrill whistle. The black and white plattered horse tossed his head and trotted up to the fence; reaching over to nuzzle Drakine on the forehead. She smiled and rubbed his nose as the velvety lips lipped her fingers. "No treats today, Oreo," she said as she moved to the gate. She opened it and Oreo trotted out with a snort of slight disappointment. Drakine scowled at the horse before walking into the stables. Oreo followed at a slow trot. Pilling her stuff at the horse's stall, she turned back towards the beast. "Stay," she said as she moved off to gather his tack. She was back in a few minutes and set about getting Oreo saddled and stuff. Slipping on his halter first, Drakine buckled on the bridle after making sure the bit was good for the stallion's soft mouth. Once that was all secure, she let the reins hangas she slipped the saddle blanket on his back before slipping the heavy leather saddle onto it. Buckling it, she poked Oreo's stomach to get him to exhale. Then, she slipped the katana scabbards into two specially made straps built for holding swords. Though, before she vaulted up onto the saddle, she slipped Oreo's grooming kit into her backpack before slipping her arms through the straps; letting it rest comfortably on her shoulders as she slipped the reins over Oreo's head. Vauting into the saddle and slipping her feet into the stirrups, she adjusted their straps before pulling the reins into her hands. With a gentle squeeze of her knees, Oreo walked out of the stable before moving into a swift trot as the two moved towards Drake. "Lead the way, captain," she said as Oreo slowed beside Drake's gray.

"Yes, ma'am," Drake said in response to Drakine's approaching statement. He clicked his tongue twice and tightened his legs a bit around the gray's waist, sending the horse into a walk, and then a trot. He held the reigns loosely and craned his neck to look at Drakine. "We've only got a bit of riding to do before we reach the first landmark. It's a cave, I believe," he said and after a few minutes of warming the horse up, he set him to a canter.

Drakine squeezed her knees slightly and Oreo moved forward in a swift trot before transitioning into a canter that felt like an old rocking chair. She positioned Oreo so the pinto was slightly behind Drake's gray, but Oreo didn't seem to pleased with that arrangement since his ears went back. She scowled at her mount. Oreo, sensing Drakine's scowl, pricked his ears forward. She nodded at what Drake said. Caves were cool. Especially for dragons.
