"Later, dad." Demetria waved goodbye to her father. She knew she was late, which was something she didn't really care about, but she did kinda want to be the first one to get to her dorm. Clutching her suitcase, Demetria ran for her dorm, following the signs. When she got to the door, she thought she heard a voice... it was someone talking, but whoever she was talking to wasn't answering back. Demetria hoped that her roommate was on the phone or something and not talking to herself...that'd be weird. She pulled out a keyring, took one that was shiny, slim, and gold, and stuck it in the lock, turning the handle when the door opened for her.

"Uh, hi, you must be...Ari, right?" Demetria asked as she noticed the girl in her room already. Bugger, she wasn't first. Oh well, at least Ari looked cool enough. Hopefully she wasn't too bubbly...or too shy, for that matter. Those people really annoyed her.

A vampire stepped onto the grand porch of the academy. He glanced around ; all the other students came with their parents. His parents , though, were probably too busy with their hunting to care about him. He had lethargically walked the way to the academy, his parents probably not knowing whether he'd left his home. A thin gold key was in his suit pocket, but he decided not to go to his room as of yet. He walked around the entrance of the academy, thinking.

Glacier perched on the young dragon tamer's shoulder. "Yuki, be safe!" Her parents waved goodbye to her. Yuki sighed ; too many people, moving too fast. This was pure discomfort for her, but she knew that she shouldn't just freeze random people even though she really wanted to. That would be just rude - her parents had raised her to be a respectful person, never abusing her powers. "Yes, ma and pa!" She called back. Glacier poked Yuki's face with his icy, frost-coated tail. He fished out a delicate gold key from Yuki's hand, unthreading the red ribbon from her fingers as she nervously fumbled around for something. "Relax , Yuki," she thought to herself. Glacier led the way to the room, with Yuki trailing slowly and tiredly behind. He sat on the doorknob, holding out the key to Yuki with his tail. "Glacier, sit on my shoulder. I'm going to turn the knob," she said as she inserted the key and twisted it, unlocking the door. Glacier stood on the floor at her feet , and flapped into the room as soon as the door opened.

"Bye, Mom." 

Aaron hugged his teary-eyed mother goodbye. "Do you have everyth-" His mom started to ask, but Aaron cut her off. "Yes, mother," Aaron said sarcastically, letting go of his mom. She gave him a sad smile. "Behave, Aaron. I love you." He smiled back. "Love you too, Ma."

Aaron slung his bag over his shoulder and turned, heading for the dorms. The key he had received in the mail prior to coming here felt white-hot in his pocket. This was it, he thought. I'll finally be with other people like me. He smiled at the thought. Following the signs, Aaron eventually found his way to his dorm room. He took the key out of his pocket, and stuck it in the lock. With a turn, he opened the door to find his roommate already inside.

"Hey," Aaron said with a smile to the guy who's name was supposedly Faolan. "I'm Aaron."

Robin and Daemon watched as new kids started filing into the common room. Robin was quite happy to meet his roommate, jumping up and shaking Kyle's hand vigorously.

"Hi Kyle! I'm Robin, your roommate!" Robin grinned cheerfully and let go of Kyle's hand. Daemon rolled his eyes. Robin was a rather young for a werewolf, and didn't know his own strength yet. Hopefully Kyle wasn't seriously wounded or anything because of his hyperactive friend.

"And I'm Daemon, your roommate." He nodded towards the boy named Taro. His scent told Daemon that he was another werewolf. But it was alright, since Daemon was already used to Robin.

"Oh, hi!" Ari looked over her shoulder to see a girl standing by the door. She lifted up Kito, slinging him over her shoulder and turning around to face Demetria. "You're Demetria, right?" Ari extended a free hand to shake her new roommate's. Kito grumbled, a small spark flying off the end of his tail.

Sanae poked her head into the common room. Empty? Her crow wings gave another nervous little flutter as she settled in, looking at the room around her. So far, she had only seen witches, werewolves and vampires. No yokai. Sanae felt lonely, the only foreigner inside this school. 

Faolan looked at the boy and groaned in annoyance "Yeah, whatever just pick your room." He said as he sat up on the couch and leaned his head back looking at the boy still.

"Bye mum!" A girl spoke with a slight accent. She looked to the woman standing beside her and smiled, hugging the older lady around her belly. the mother looked down at her little girl and sniffled, wiping her nose with a white handkerchief.

"I'm going to miss you." The mother said, sobbing on her daughter's shoulder. The younger girl pushed her away and brushed tears off her shoulder.

"Its only for a little while Mum." She reassured her mother, brushing tears off her face and giving a rare chuckle. The mother smiled weakly at the laughter coming from her daughter for she knew, as soon as they parted ways, her daughter would become quiet and withdrawn as she usually was.

"Alright Avalia, I trust you" She kissed Avalia on the top her head and ruffled her light blue hair.

"Love you Mum." Avalia kissed her mother back and ran to the school

As Avalia stepped up to the front steps of the school, she was blown away by the sheer size of the things. Butterflies formed in her stomach and she shuddered as she walked into the registration building. She wandered up to the desk where a short lady with tiny fangs elogating from her mouth were sitting. "Excuse me Ma'am, can you please tell me-" She started nervously.

"Avalia Orikani?" The lady looked up with a smile.

"Yes Ma'am"

"You are in Dorm 4 on Floor 2. You are a Dragon Tamer?"

"Yes Ma'am" She responded

"And who is your Dragon?"

"Naga" Avalia opened her cupped hands to show a small sleeping dragon. It was an ocean blue color no bigger than her hand.

"Alright, you may go."

Avalia nodded gratefully and trotted out the building to the dorms. She wandered up a long, winding staircase and onto the next landing where she saw rows of dorms. She walked down to room 4 and looked on the door where it said the name of her roomate. She shrugged and pushed open the door to see her roomate.

"Hello Sarah" She said nonchalantly as she layed her stuff next to the not-taken bed...

A vampire by the name of Makia Namad wandered up to his dorm and knocked on the door. when nobody opened it, he pushed it open and set his stuff down. Makia looked at the comfortable bed and lept onto it, splaying himself across the sheets as he stared up at the cieling to see when his roomate would come...
