Ketu emerged from the Gajou, slowly climbing up the huge pile of rocks to sit atop, looking out at his loyal pack. He sighed. It had been years since anything had happened to the soldiers of Ohu, and yet he was still as wary as before. Ketu started to descend the rocks, as he had nothing to announce yet. That was when a brown blur streaked from the forest to Ketu, shoutning something incoherent. Instantly recognizing Kehale, an energetic young German Shepard, Ketu stopped him with a stare.
"Ketu, Ketu!" Kehale wheezed, practically out of breath. The leader twitched his ears, indicating that he was listening. "Pack of wild dogs... Approaching territory... In Futago Pass." Kehale nodded weakly towards the twin mountains. Ketu narrowed his eyes.
"Pack of wild dogs?" He echoed Kehale, getting a nod in return. "I wonder... Perhaps they want to join Ohu." Ketu thought out loud.

Leto tossed a rabbit at her friend, Bari, who was lazing by the rock.
"Honestly, Bari." Leto sighed, leaping up on the rock next to the yellow dog and tearing off a bit of the rabbit for herself. "You're going to come on a hunting expedition one day, Ketu is bound to notice!" Bari chuckled at her friend's anxiety.
"No worries, Leto. Ketu is quite happy with me standing guard. This rock is the perfect post, looking out towards Futago Pass." Bari wagged her tail slowly, bending down to help herself to the meal. Leto rolled her eyes, clearly exasperated.
"Lazy." She muttered. Bari ignored her, though her eyes sparkled with amusement.

Drizlen blinked his eyes, awaking to the sound of birds chirping. He growled out a groan, heaving himself to his paws. The massive black dog looked at his small but formidable pack. Vorlos, a boisterous and over-energetic young male lay next to him, clearly happy to be just near Drizlen. He prodded Vorlos awake, the young male jumping up with a start and howling out 'intruder!' instinctively. Drizlen managed to shut Vorlos up, though he could already see a few dogs stirring from their slumber.
"It's me, you idiot." Drizlen growled dangerously. Vorlos flattened his ears in apology.
"Oh, uh, Drizlen! I'm sorry!" He squeaked, obviously fearing a swipe on the head by Drizlen. Drizlen merely cuffed Vorlos with a sheathed paw, knowing that Vorlos only wanted to impress Drizlen.
"Uh, I'll go hunt." Vorlos mumbled, sauntering off into the woods. Drizlen grunted, padding off towards the forest to see if they were near the Ohu dogs. He sniffed around the trees, eyes narrowing when his nose hit an unfamiliar scent. It was rather fresh, left probably half an hour ago. Drizlen growled.
"So, the Ohu dogs know we're here." He said to himself. "This really will be amusing." Drizlen prowled back to his pack.

Aine was stationed farthest from Drizlen's pack, rising slowly from her sleep when she heard a dog howl intruders.
"Hnnh... Wha...?" She mumbled, eyes blinking slowly, her speech slurred slightly by sleep. Rinko, a white dog closest to her, jerked her head up instantly, as if she had been awake the entire time.
"It's just Vorlos." Rinko told Aine over her shoulder, both dogs slowly getting up and joining the inner circle of the small pack.
