(( Sorry, there was a 2 in front of my 18. I'm a derp :/ I kinda did want to be the guide, all the roleplays I had Kyle in got shut down before we even started, and I absolutely adore his character. If you really want to be the guide though, rmail me with your bio, and if I think you would make a better guide then you can have the spot. I don't want to get your hopes up though, so stay sullen please XD jk ))

[[Alright, I gave Annette a big puffy leather jacket that hopefully will be enough but if it isn't later then I will give her more clothes ha.
Anyways, how will we start our intros? Like, already on the journey or about to or....?]]

(( Actually, Pepper, I'm afraid we're just about set up, I don't know another player would do us much good. Sorry. :/

And that sounds great, Unique. Unless Dragon speaks up again, you've got the Guide, Meg.

The first few posts we can just start to get a feel for the characters, I'll give out a que, highlighted in purple, when it's time to start doing one thing or another. Everyone jump in! ))

(( Nope. When everyone gets about three posts in, we'll have them all end up in a group and we'll have things explained by the Guide, then they'll receive their eggs and will have the single night before taking off. We'll start the roleplay at about noon, then the ceremony will be finished just before dark. Just getting out of school or something similar would be just about perfect for a beginning, if anyone wants to start there. ))

Leanna looked at the clock in the front of the classroom. She had been finished with her test for thirty minutes, and anticipating that it would be harder she had brought nothing to do. She sat staring at the clock, trying to will it to go faster. She counted down the last excruciating five minutes of class, and finally the bell rang. She jumped out of her seat and threw on her backpack, just lucky not to be dead of boredom. She ran out into the hall to and raced her best friend to their lockers. She skidded down the hall as she almost ran into someone, and lost her friend.
I'll catch up to her later.
She started walking down the hall at a more reasonable pace, trying to keep collisions at a minimum. Her locker was at the other end of the school, and if she sprinted she could make it in ten minutes, but she wasn't the sprinter type. She slowly walked, waving slightly when she saw one of the people she knew.
Ah, finally, there is my locker.
A ton of the popular girls were crowded around that area. Ugh. She would have to wade through them, and she would most likely get a ton of ugly stares, but it was better than waiting for them to leave. As she walked by she could almost feel the glares of despise towards her. Those girls made her sick. She had no idea why bright pink and teal hair constituted you as pretty. They were absolutely, horribly evil too. She couldn't believe anyone would like them. The stares followed her until she reached her locker and buried her face in it. Hopefully the upcoming weekend would make them forget about her so she wouldn't end on their "target" list. She had seen some friends leave and never return because of them.
She scuttled down the hallway, avoiding the rest of the slowpokes until she pushed open the doors and felt the cool breeze hit her neck. She jogged off to the forest, and pushed through the leaves until she came to her little clearing. It was the perfect place to rest and empty her mind, and no one else had discovered it. She pulled out her sketch pad and started to draw a nearby cardinal, as she thought about the weekend ahead of her. She had overheard someone say that something big was going on, she just hoped it didn't involve her. She was completely exhausted from all the tests they had had over the course of the week. Never before had they ever had ten in the course of five days. After she rested, she closed her sketch pad and left her little clearing, entering the big, bustling world that was so near to her yet she hated so much.

(( Alright, one more thing that I forgot to add, guys: the kids know that they are of the blood of the Knowers, and their parents, mostly through childhood stories and teachings, typically pound it into their children's heads to keep the secret. It's something they usually grow up with their entire life, but parents don't tell them about the coming of age, they have to do that on their own. ))

He had started off fairly well, he thought, he had kept the date as silent as possible. But it couldn't have lasted past third quarter.

Friends. He hated his friends. Because of them all, he had been forced to endure the embarrassing and repetitive pleasantries that came with everyone suddenly congratulating him. As he stepped out of the campus gate, he heaved a sigh from a mouth that seemed numb from all the polite little thank-yous. With a scrunched brow he proceed to scowl at everything as he started his way across the parking lot. A few more eventually meandered up to talk to him, but with the single glare he shot them all...

...well, he was finally left alone to say the least.

He hated birthdays.

He stormed silently through the crowds of his peers, starting out onto the street like he did every day. His eyes stayed firmly locked on the asphalt passing a footstep at a time below him, until around him he felt the other students depart and leave him on his own. He didn't even need to look up after a point, he knew they were gone. And at that, the harsh ex
pression marking his features rather suddenly faded.
He was annoyed, absolutely, but more than anything he knew a facial ex
pression could be a
deterrent. That was the point, and that point was fulfilled. Dropping the bitter disguise, he cracked his neck as he went.

Walking was to the point where it went by as thoughtless, so he let his mind wander and go blank as he wound through the streets and listened to the cars go by. The breeze ruffled his hair about his head, his shirt flickering forward with the direction in which he walked. It was soothing, calming, and as he quieted he was glad to have such a thing as a companion.

Minutes ticked by in the silence marred only by the city life around him and the quiet touch of his feet on the ground. Before long he had a song in his head, and with a rather spontaneous and sudden grin he kicked his feet forward with the internal beat. He scuffed and twisted as he moved, feeling the satisfying twist of muscle under his skin. He tripped off the side of the shoulder-less crumbling roadside before too long, but let out nothing but a laugh when he stumbled ingloriously.

He dusted himself off as he rose, looking around for anyone who might have seen his mishap. Then rather suddenly his beaming smile turned into a startled frown.

This wasn't his neighborhood, it wasn't even his route. He looked around for a street sign in confusion, then blinked a few times to let things click.

He had always lived on the southern side of the outskirts, and never before had he so much as ended up in the north. Not until now, at least.

He looked back the way he had come, rubbing the back of his head, worry in his eyes. He could still hear the buzzing in the back of his head, the thing accompanying him since the start a few days before. His dad said it was nothing, but something kept telling him it wasn't so. Maybe he'd have the nurse check him out tomorrow after school. Yeah.

[[Thought so. I just wanted to make sure.]]

The sun was still high, shining bright and proud in the sky. Classes were done for the day, or at least in her house. Since her mom home schooled her, she got to pick her schedule and Annette usually wanted to finish everything in the morning, when her mind wash fresh. But it wasn't morning any more, it was noon and the brisk air outside was reviving her body that was cooped up inside the dreadful prison people usually call a home.

Annette had grabbed her leather case with her customized sword in it, swung it over her shoulder and headed out to the woods to practice. She had also grabbed a pear that she was munching on, too. It would take a minute or two, to reach the boarder of the forest but she didn't mind the short walk. She got to see people - usually old people, though, cause all the kids wouldn't be out of school quite yet - which she never interacted with, and didn't want to, but made her feel part of the society.

Annette made the short trip, and she now stood at the edge of the forest. One step would take her in. She quickly threw her finished pare on the ground of the forest floor, as if making sure when she stepped into the forest, it wasn't going to blow up. Then, her eyes darted from side to side, very quick and barely recognizable. When she made sure the coast was clear, a warm smile lit her face and her eyes smiled bright and amazed. She took a step into the forest, and following that step were heavy pounding on the ground. Annette was running, she felt so free, so alive. She wasn't wearing her heavy leather jacket so the wind was caressing her body making goose bumps appear on her lightly tanned skin. And once a shiver ran up her spine, she stopped running and looked up. Autumn was her favorite time of year. It was the time where the world turning colorful.

Annette dropped her head to the tree in front of her. She knew she was submerged in the forest and no one was going to see her. Her face went blank and the warm smile that was only on her face for a half a minute was neutral. She swung the sword out of its cover and flicked it upward slicing a deep line in the tree. She swung at the tree again, opposite side and downward making another deep hash mark on the tree, forming a 'x'.

Annette's adrenaline was up now. She took dozens of new swings out on the tree. Left, right, right, up, down, diagonal, up, left, down, down, across, diagonal, diagonal up, left, down, right, up, right, right, left, diagonal down, across, right, across. She wasn't tired, but her breathing was a tad bit heavier. Annette took a step back from her work she had just done. The tree looked like it had been attacked by a wild animal, and though she had done this to several other trees in the forest, a sense of pride filled inside of her and she was satisfied with her warm up.

Now it was time for her agility part. She turned so she was facing away from the tree and away from where she came. With a light bounce on her tip toes she was off and running through the forest, being as fast, graceful and quiet as she could while she lashed out at trees and slashed them before continuing down the wooded path.

The forest was filled with the sound of whistling coming from a whip of her sword and a loud crack from when it the blade licked the tree. The combinations of those sounds were like music, like a symphony to Annette, and her graceful movements like a dance.  And then, every once in a when a stick would crack under Annette's weight or leaves would crumble under her feet and that's when the symphony would scratch and play again as if on a old record player. It reminded Annette of way-back-when, when they had records and would throw Balls and there would always be beautiful people dressed in fancy attire and have graceful movements. Oh how she loved that time period, and oh how this part of her training always reminded her of it.

But the agility part of her training came to an end when she reached a small clearing that was luring her in for a break. Her breaths were heavier, especially under the hot sun, and she couldn't resist the temptation of a break. Annette quickly slipped the sword back into it's casing she had slung around her back and looked back at the path she had ran through. Beautiful as it was, she was content with the work she had done, and her mind quickly ran back to the idea of a break. She would need it if she was going to practice for a few more hours.

[[Gahh, I have to go to bed now, Night everyone!]]

I quickly leave the school grounds. I had no need to stay there when I didn't want to. I quickly pull my skateboard out of my backpack and set it on the ground. I watch as it rolls a few feet. I quickly sigh, take a few quick steps and hop onto the board. I kick at the ground a few times, gain momentum and head off in no particular direction.

About a few minutes later I find myself in a bit of trouble. Some guys I'd angered last week spotted me. "Hey, that's him, that's the guy! Get him!" I wasn't really worried, I could easily outrun them on my board. I make sure to stay ahead of them, but not too far, so I could aggravate them some more. I let out a dark laugh and turn a corner.

My board goes flying and so do I as I run into someone. I curse and quickly get up and search for my board. A loud crunching sound brings my attention to the road, where it was getting run over. "You got to be kidding me." Anger starts to fill me and I had to take it out on someone and who better then the guy who caused this. I find myself approaching the still downed guy, grab his shirt by the collar and lift him to his feet. "You." I'm just about to punch the guy square in the face, when a hand grabs my shoulder. "Got ya." Says one of the men who'd been chasing me. I'm yanked away from the guy and am put into a choke hold. I glare at the guy I'd run into and say, "Better run or you'll get caught up in my mess." I watch as two of the other guys start towards the stranger.

((LaCort, could the guy he runs into be your guy? If not, it could be some random dude. I also forgot to add Luffy's gloves and a few things are added to Ojike's appearance, both are at the end.))

She heard the bell ring. The ring that signaled the end of the last period and the one that signaled the end of the current school day. Too bad she was "sick" today. A smirk curved her lips as she slunk deeper into the shadows she had somehow found herself in as she watched the students exit the school campus. Her extremely light blue eyes crinkled at the edges as a brief flash of sunlight illuminated the hazel specks with in the blue orbs. People had often thought she was blind because of her eyes... and because when she looks at somebody, she tends to stare straight through them. But, she is not blind. She just likes to scare people sh!tless. It brings so much joy to watch people squirm under her seemingly blind eyes.

After a few more moments, she sighed. Suddenly, watching people leave wasn't so fun anymore. The smirk on her face switched into a scowl as she pushed herself off the wall she had been leaning on as she shoved her hands into the pockets of her low-riding pants. Tilting her head forward slightly, she let her black and red-dyed hair fall in her eyes as she walked away from the building of learning. She really hated that place, truth be told. Never really did well in school and got into fights constantly. After her last fight (where she knocked the captain of the football team unconscious), she was suspended for three days. Much to her happiness.

But... that was months ago.

She really needed to find some way to get herself expelled. Then, she wouldn't have to worry about all those cliques and people masquerading around as a "friend". Psssh. She was better off without school friends. Street friends were a different matter entirely. They had your back no matter what.

"Yo, Fae," a male said off to her right as she passed the mouth of another alleyway. She stopped and tilted her head. The use of that nickname meant something was up. She thought it was funny that her nicknames always meant something. Zyl was familiarity, Storm meant something big was going down... but Fae... Fae was something else entirely.

"Yes. Ross," she said, letting her eyes watch him from their peripherals instead of turning to face him directly. She watched him open his mouth to say something, decided better of whatever he was about to utter, before he closed his trap. Her brows narrowed. Something was definitely up.

"I'll catch ya later and tell ya," he mumbled before disappearing.

'Yea. Right,' she thought before continuing on her way. Which was... seemingly taking her northbound. Which was odd. Usually her feet lead her to the east, where her streets friends hung out in their packs. Finally, she stopped as she glanced up to watch her surroundings. Something had lead her here...

Deciding that her surroundings weren't hiding anything that would jump out and attack her, she closed her eyes. 'So, Zylvan, the big question is... What did?' she asked herself.

--- I've edited Zylvan's profile a bit. Just sos ya'll know. o3o ---

Leanna walked inside her house expecting the normal: How was your day? Did you meet anyone knew? Did you get any good grades back? and Did you get hurt?, but there was a distinct lack of her mother and father. She checked the house, and double checked the counter. They definitely weren't there, and they hadn't left a note like they always did. What happened? She looked around for signs of a struggle or for missing objects. Everything was in the right spot. Leanna grabbed her bow and her arrows of the mantle in the living room. Her parents always would leave her a note or tell her they would be gone. Something had to have happened to them, they were very important in the government of this town, and barely anyone liked them.
She crept out of her home as silently as a cat stalking it's prey, and she followed a trail of well hidden footsteps which led down the manicured grass. Wait, hidden footsteps? If this wasn't a captor, who might it be? She looked carefully at the footsteps. They were definitely to small to be either her mother's or her father's. Both of her parents cars were still parked out in the driveway. They never walked anywhere.
Mom? Dad?
She heard a rustling noise behind a bush, and she turned around and aimed her bow at it. Luckily, all it was was a chipmunk. It ran over to her and crawled in her hand.
Do you know where my parents are little guy?
The chipmunk seemed to understand and pointed toward the bush where it had come from, than scurried off. Leanna walked over to the bushes and pulled back the leaves, revealing her parents passed out on the ground.
Oh dear Lord, what happened?
She dragged them back to her house, which luckily wasn't far away, and stared at them in disbelief. Why would anyone do this? What the heck had happened? Her parents were extremely strong, not just anything could do this to them. She looked at their bloody and bruised bodies, and she felt like a little kid waiting for their parents to come back from the emergency room.
What am I going to do?

(( The running-into sounds great, Tiger. ))

Mitt was knocked very harshly by the sudden collision, and the breath was completely crushed from him by the force. For a few blank moments he simply struggled to draw air into his lungs, his elbows and shoulder blades immediately beginning to sting where the concrete had broken skin through his shirt. He growled through the marring of pain, a comparatively distant crunch making a faint mark in his mind.

"The hell...?" he barked, starting to look around as he lifted his flat-body impact to an at least somewhat alert position. It was about then that he felt the strong tug of hands on the collar of his now slightly-tattered shirt, yet he allowed himself to be yanked to his feet with no more than a hiss. Allowing a genuine glare to fix on the eyes of the one who had befallen him both the pain and the trouble, his fingers readied to crush the hand that held him. Still, before he could administer the crippling swipe another figure had turned the sudden corner and had more or less torn the other boy from Mitt's chest.

He stood erect once he was forcefully released, tensed and with a spiteful look for those now approaching him. His fists clenched, and he gave only a splinter of a second before he made a move. He dealt a stunning blow to the taller of the two's jaw, feeling a sickening, yet satisfying crunch under his blow. He swung in precise, calculated jabs left and right, quickly disposing of one and turning to bare against the other. Even though he was dealt several hard hits that almost made him regret this, he was relentless against his enemy until he was no longer standing.

Not giving even a moment for the third, he tore the green-eyed little snake out of the boy's grasp, flinging the kid behind him before he started once more. A few times he was nearly knocked off his feet by his opponent, but he kept a restraining watch over the black haired boy as he fought the other into the ground.

At the moment there were no others to face him, and although newly bruised and bloodied he still turned with the cold anger of adrenaline to the other. He moved forward in an unstoppable movement to grab a handful of his hair, and he began to drag the boy into the side-ally behind him.
