Vetis had been paying scant attention to the door when it opened, and took a few moments to register that she had been invited in. She barely even heard her name due to all the shouting the villagers and stall-holders were doing.

Glancing around quickly, the silver-haired young woman waved cheerily, then slipped swiftly between the gap that stood between the door and wall, coming to stand just by one of the windows. "About time. What were you doi-" The mage eyed the glittering arrowheads on a nearby table. "Ah... I see. I'm surprised you can focus so well in this enviroment," She added, walking forward and picking up one of the sharpened weapons. The noise outside could be heard even here, though admittedly, it was dulled somewhat. Still, any sort of concentration would have been hard to achieve in this.

Shrugging slightly, Vetis placed the weapon back onto the table carefully, before pulling herself onto a larger table and crossing her legs. Her gaze swiftly drank in the room, then focused on Raum. "So how've you been?... We haven't had much time to talk lately, huh?..." She smiled slightly, leaning back on the heel of her hands. "So what's with calling me over here?" She asked, lifting her weight from her hands and leaning forward, crossing her wrists over her crossed knees.

A ruckus outside prevented Vetis from getting an answer immediately, and with a sigh, she slipped from the table and walked to the window. Pulling back a drape, she watched the street outside, and the two groups of people who now seemed to be at loggerheads. Figured, really. Brawls like this were always breaking out in areas like this one.

"It really is a miracle you can concentrate, Raum." She murmered, allowing the drape to fall from her hand before she went and seated herself back at the table. This time, in a chair. She smiled slightly and raised a thin brow. "So. Why the invitation?"

Sumnor looked back to Abi and waited for her nod of approval, which came after a few seconds of deliberation, "What are you waiting for old man? attack so we can finish this and get on with our business." The group attacked swiftly, however the leader held back, As one got close to him, his hammer rose up high and came crashing down, crushing one of their heads swiftly, before another grabbed onto his arm and was hoisted up in the air.

Abi crouched low, slashing someone's inside thigh, the spray of blood satisfying to her, the knowledge that she had sent him to certain doom. She came up, running her huge blade through a second, as Sumnor threw the man clinging onto him to the ground, stamping on the man's chest, turning his rib cage to dust. "Now this is actually fun, demons just don't bleed the same way."

Sumnor's hammer began to glow, he didn't realise until a man had jumped up and grabbed the head of it, "Relic!"  He again raised the hammer high but this time brought it down on the man's lower legs, he wrapped his huge hand around the man's upper body and rifled through his pockets, pulling out what looked like a piece of wood, it reacted to all four of the heroes, rather than just he as the first did.

The light first engulfed the group, before expanding out over the city, "I don't know what's happening, but my hammer's changing!" "So's my blade! and not just the amrkings! the shape as well!" Sumnor held on tight to the hammer, not completely sure why the relic spread out so far, as far as he coud tell, the four were the only heroes in this town.

The dark haired Raum shrugged disinterestedly from her seat.  "I view it as a challenge.  Blocking out the unnecessary background noises of this town helps to sharpen my concentration."  She watched the other woman inspect the newly sharpened arrows, not in any hurry to speak.  As the lighter haired woman sat down on the other table, Raum leaned back slightly in her own chair, preparing to answer her questions.  The commotion outside interrupted her, though, and Raum's lips twisted unpleasently.

Sighing, she rose form her seat and walked over to the fireplace, picking up a thick potholder and grasping an old, battered tea kettle.  Moving it away from the flames, the dark haired woman removed two thick mugs from an overhead cabinet and placed loose tea leaves in the bottoms of the cups before pouring the boiling hot water over them.  Placing the tea kettle on a hook near the fireplace, she picked up both mugs and returned to the table, sitting one in front of the other chair and taking her seat again.

"I have been well," she finally answered in her soft voice.  "As you can tell, I purchased a home in this town.  It's not quiet enough for my liking, but I do need a place to come back to when I'm not out dealing with demons and bandits."  Raum paused for a moment to drink her tea, blowing on the scalding hot liquid before sipping it.

"Which is part of the reason I asked you to come vist me," she continued.  "I've been traveling abit lately, fighting and slaying demons.  I've heard some interesting... news, I suppose you could call it, while I've been gone.  Have you ever heard of items called Relics?" Raum asked.  "According to the few reports I've managed to come across, there are certain rare items being discovered on the bodies of powerful demons after they are defeated by Heroes.  Allegedly, they give their bearers increased strength, as well as other advantages."  Leaning forward, she propped her elbows on the table, clasping her fingers together and looking at Vetis over them.

"I'm very interested in finding out more about these relics, Vetis.  If we could find one or two of them I'm sure they would benificial to us.  So, I'll get to the point of my invitation:  I'm planning to begin a quest to find out more about these Relics.  Will you join me, cousin?  Your magical prowess would be a great help, especially considering my... limitations in close range combat."

Abadon swung his sword, slicing halfway through a towns folk before coming to a stand still. "Oh Hell." He muttered, as the villager screamed out in pain before losing all consciousness and falling on the flat of the blade. Abadon placed his foot on his head before removing his sword from the man's bowls. A man with similar proportions to that of Sumnor leapt onto him pinning him to the floor. "I don't know what's happening, but my hammer's changing!"

Jezebeth darted to retrieve her sapphire blade from the beam, drawing her golden dagger from her thigh, slicing at several femoral arteries in her path. Removing it from the beam, she then swung herself round, tossing it yet again, however this time as if it where a dart and aiming for the centre of the head. "So's my blade! and not just the markings! the shape as well!"

Abadon winced as the man lifted his fist to deal a smashing blow to his head. His sword was in between the two men, laying vertically across his chest, and palms, The large man's free hand resting on it as he readied to punch with the other. As the light engulfed them all, his broadsword became that of a highlanders claymore, this was followed by the large man yelling out. "What have you done to my arm!" He rolled off Abadon, clutching his hand that was wresting on the Claymore. It had started to disintegrate like that of ash. Abadon Scuttled to his feet holding his black Claymore. Astounded as the ash crept up the man's arm and engulfed his entire body that was swept away by the wind. "Woah. Glad I'm not that guy" He said smugly, holding the blade that had sent the other man to ashes.

"What have you done to my arm!" Jezebeth glanced to the man writhing in pain as she went to retrieve Her dagger from her targets head, only to retrieve an elongated silver tapered hair pin crowned with the sapphire. The dagger that remained in her hand morphed into five star-shaped blades. Curious at the new weapon displayed in her hand, and due to the oncoming mas.s of several men, she fanned them out and threw them at the villagers, each zoning in on their throat's slicing them in perfect harmony with each other,  before all returning to her hand. "Well that was certainly unexpected." She said calmly to herself, removing the pin from the fallen's head and placing it into her hair to form a bun, a several pink strands still falling over her shoulder.

"Ah, I see." Vetis murmered, her chin resting a hand that had the elbow placed on the nearby table. Well, that was one way of doing things, she supposed. The young mage lived away from most of the the bustle, and hadn't needed to accustom herself to the constant noise and distraction. Her own home resided in a street just leading off the main market, so the noise was nowhere near as prominent as here.

Watching as Raum headed towards the fireplace, she dropped her arm and continued. "Must have taken some getting used to, though."She paused as the noise outside escalated, shifting in her chair so that she could look questioningly at the window. "Surely it's not usually this loud, though..." She murmered quietly, Raum probably too far away to even hear her mumble. With a shrug, she hesitantly turned back to the table, smiling at her darker haired cousin as the cups were placed in front of her.

"Yeah. It's probably about time you got a place. Makes things a lot easier, though I personally enjoy the idea of travel," She gently pulled one of the steaming cups towards her, loking at the liquid wthin it. "Still. I'm surprised you chose a property so close to the town centre." She smiled slightly, then took a sip of the hot tea. "Lovely tea, by the way. Thank you," Smiling at Raum, her ex
pression became intruiged as the younger woman spoke.

"Relics, hm?... I've heard about them, but only in pas.sing." The young woman went to sip some more of her beverage, pausing in the middle of lifting her cup, before she lowered it slowly back onto the table without her lips touching the rim. "That's... Interesting," She responded slowly, crossing her arms on the table and leaning forward slightly. "I'd have to agree with you. They certainly do demand to be explored a little further,"

Biting her lip lightly, the woman thought for a moment. It wasn't really like she had anything stopping her from joining Raum, and the invitation certainly was compelling. "Alright, cousin," She said softly with a nod. "I'd be happy to join you. Besides, I kinda miss all that travelling we used to do, this... Quest, would provide a great oppurtunity to get out of the norm for a while" She laughed, a quiet, soft laugh.

It was the noise outside that caused Vetis to stop suddenly, turning herself again to stare over her shoulder. The villagers shouts had turned to screams and yells, it was pretty clear that whatever was going on was more than just a little urgent. Her ex
pression had switched quickly from initial excitement to slight concern. "Raum... I know places like this pretty well, and I'm pretty sure you do too seeing as you live here... It's not supposed to be this bad, right?"

Standing, Vetis headed straight for the window, pulling back the drape again to glance outside. Her ex
pression remained unchanged for a minute or two, then suddenly became very sick, and just a little disbelieving. Bodies, and a lot of blood. Villagers were running in all directions, a few stood on the outskits of the m*censored*acre and watching with unaccepting faces. The stalls had became almost quiet in light of this new... Well, issue.

With narrowed eyes and a sharp intake of breath, the young mage was almost glaring as she looked quickly over her shoulder to focus her gaze on Raum.

"This town does have guards, right?... 'Cause they don't seem to be doing a very good job, cousin. People are being killed out there."

Sumnor opened his eyes when the light faded, staring at his weapon in sheer disbelief and bewilderment. The hammer's head had became a huge scythe blade, and the handle, under where he was holding, had coiled up his forearm, now made like a spine. "Okay, now this is a fair bit different." Deciding to try it out, he threw his arm forward, the blade movingto make it mroe like a lance, or polearm, the handle extending to reach the closest villager, ripping upwards, leaving him as a messy pool.

He looked to his other arm, seeing a rolled piece of parchment, it read: To whomever activated this relic in combat, the reason that it was not only you to upgrade is that whoever was fughting at your side were fresh to your fighting style. It was the readiness to fight with you that caused you to all upgrade in unison.  "Now that explains it!" "What the hell are you going on about now?!" Abi yelled, as her new scimitar, with crimson red markings up the blade, sliced through two more villagers.

Realising that the villagers had stopped the attack, Sumnor began to panic, wonderring why the vicious onslaught stopped so suddenly, turning and tossing the parchment over to Abi, who read it out loud before looking confused. "I.... suppose that makes sense in a way."  That was when the guards appear, "Oh, finally, now that it looks like it was us to cause this, the kings most useless here to blounder another day." Sumnor released the tight grip he had on his now-scythe, however it merely retreated upwards and coiled around his body, the blade coming out of his armour and resting safely on his shoulders.

Abi tightened the strap of leather she used as a sheath, putting the scimitar away, "What amde you reconsider your previous plan?" "Look towards the back of the fold, there's at least twenty battle mages, last time I went into a fight with five of them I barely escaped with my life." "Aye, I see now, that's a good point." "So're you going to arrest us or stand around admiring the view?!"

((They have not yet introduced themselves to each other If I'm correct?))

Abadon looked up from his newly formed Claymore and to the Small platoon of men and women dressed in uniform up ahead. "Never seen that many mages before." He whistled, Tying the dark sword to his side. and covering it with his cloak. "A while longer in the cells aint that bad." He muttered. "But I guess killing many people is a penalty of death anyway... Ah well, It was fun while it lasted."

Jezebeth frowned at Abadon whilst fastening two of the stars to her belt buckle as she remained out of a direct line of sight.  "You saying that Killing these villagers was amusing to you?" She slid the remaining three onto the end of her Hair pin, as to form a secure grip into her hair. Jezebeth sighed, "You do realise I had not intended on getting caught."

Abadon glanced at their small party, compared to the larger one confronting them. "If we ran, Do you think we would get away?" He asked the others. "Nor had I intended on running. We dug our selves into this hole, so we can dig our selves out of it."

Jezebeth surveyed the surrounding area, Including their new weapons. Out of curiosity, she placed her hand behind her back, The crossbow's shape had also modified it's self. Somewhat smaller, capable of being held with one hand, yet the bow arm was still as powerful, if not more. The tension in the draw string was as strong as ever.

Lowering her arm she pondered. Directing herself to Sumnor, she spoke softly. "You say that you barely escaped when battling five, Aye? Yet you escaped non the less." She paused." I'm just curious to know whether you had found your first relic yet. I'm asking you, because when I stumbled on what you say was a relic, I found that my weapons power had increase, and With the second just now, They have improved my quality of fighting." She Turned her head, continuing to talk to sumnor, however facing the potential enemy. "Due to my as.sumption, May I tell you know, I am not one who jumps into a fight, but if needs be, their are four of us now, and appropriately twenty mages whom are our main opposition... If needs be, we would have a better chance of survival."

"Due to my as.sumption, May I tell you now, I am not one who jumps into a fight, but if needs be, their are four of us now, and approximately twenty mages whom are our main opposition... If needs be, we would have a better chance of survival." "I had found my first relic, and with this second I don't have too much doubt to the fact we could fight our way out, but to slaughter that many guards would leave us as the most serious of fugitives, they'd never stop tailing us." Abi walked over so she was stood within earshot of the three others, keeping her voice low "They haven't attacked yet, that generally means they aint planning on killing us yet... I say we let them take us and break out later."

Sumnor nodded, raising his hands and placing them behind his head, "Come on then you idiots, stop watching and admiring my physique and come arrest us." "We actually came for the drunk one, that offense to..."  He looked at the bodies on the floors, noticing who the leader of the mob was, "His niece... Is what this is a response to." "And now what? you're going to let us three go?" "Shut up! What are you, an idiot? we can get away easy enough." "We fought together without even knowing eachother's names, we go down together as well."

Sumnor was beginning to get ariated, he decided to make this cene go a little quicker before he lost his rag, "You take one of us, you take all of us."  The lead guard shrugged and marched up with seven others, two guards going to each of the heroes, not wanting to take any unneccessary risks. "What the hands, wouldn't want to lose 'em now, would ya?" Sumnor sneered as a guard's hand ran over the blade of his scythe.

Abi chuckled as the two guards bound her wrists, they were obvious rookies, their hands were trembling as they tied and they tied the knots loosely. "Scared of a girl are we boys?"  The two guards laughed unneccessarily loudly, before tugging her over to the rest of the guards, along with Sumnor.

"This is a familiar scene, I must say." Abandon rotated his shoulders, placing his hands behind his back before the guards had even arrived at his back. "And for the record, I'll have you know I'm pretty much sobered up now." He lied, the reminiscence of of his alcohol remaining as a light headache. "Take me away boys." He said smugly, as the rookies attempted to tie his hands together. This would be an easy escape, but a night in the cells would be better than in a potential storm or demon raid.

"For someone who seems to have an unfortunate life, you truly are optimistic, therefore I must give you some congratulations on that." She said, an element of spite in her voice. As the guards attempted to take her hands, she glared at them. "I am not a child, I capable of do this myself." She placed her hands behind her back, and allowed the gaurds to bind her hands, before striding forward, as she was semi-lead, pas.sing the previous drunk heading to meet up with the others.

Abadon was finally brought up to speed with the others, with a soft smile on his face, he said. "For three strangers I just met, you are the nicest people out there." "And how many people have you met?"  "Besides bartenders? well a few bandits and sever rouges." Jezebeth rolled her Eyes. "Well that puts us in our place then doesn't it."

"Oh, yea, My names Abadon Buer. 'The wandering Drunk'." He said, quoting a wanted poster.

Sumnor was thrown in the cell with his hands seemingly still 'bound'. However he had undone the knots on the way there, dropping the rope on the flor of the cell, as did Abi, "Mine's Sumnor Pegagnyx... last of my known bloodline, apparently." "I'm Abigor Deumos, but please call me Abi, as I doubt you'd appreciate a punch in the face." She curtsied sarcasticly before allowing herself to drop onto one of the cots.

"Why on earth did they leave us with our weapons?" "Mine's coiled around me so I doubt they had a choice with me... They were probably worried the three of you would kill them for even attempting to take them." Abi shrugged, "You were such an ignorant pig back there, I mean, what is it with you and ignoring my advice?" "I chose what made more sense..." "Well if we'd of escaped we wouldn't be here now..." "Maybe not, but my idea has kept us alive, i doubt you'd of wanted a pitchfork in the back while we were running! and we got that relic!" "AH! It's all about RELIC'S with you, just leave me alone."

She lay on the cot and faced the wall, Sumnor turned to the others and nodded slightly, "Sorry about that..." He sat on the cot furthest from the cell door, Rubbing the handle of his scythe that was coiled now around his armour, it had shifted whist they were being transported here, the blade had transformed the back of his armour slightly and was now in a sheath that was all one with his cuiraiss.

" My name Is Jezebeth Orix. Call me what you wish." She said sternly, rubbing her wrists.

After witnessing the dispute between the apparent lovers. "Back onto the subject of weapons." She stated, trying to change the subject. "I would have to agree with Abi, It is curious for them to leave us with our weapons. Saying that we would try to kill them is plausible, however, we are in a cell, with high security, Might I add that they have many more mage's, summoners and possibly a few high wizards. I doubt it is due to us killing them."

Jezebeth dis mounted the cross bow from her back, settling it on the ground and leant against the wall. " There must be a reason, whether there original intention was just to remove Abadon from the village, It must have changed."

"Heh, Women, all ways have to plan their way into things." He muttered, scuttling closer to Sumnor as Jezebeth shot him a look of distaste. "So, Sumnor, ya think me and Jeza have anything going?" He smirked now leaning on his claymore.

Jezebeth heard some talking between the two men, but paid no heed to what was being said. Relics. The word lingered in her head, that could possibly be why they still wielded their weapons.

She peered down to bolt shaped stone necklace she had been given from her mentor over a decayed ago when she was merely an apprentice, and removed it from her neck. It shared similar markings to that of her first relic. A black pebble from what appeared to be shrine debris.

Curious, She made her way over to where Abigor was laying and started to speak. "I'm sorry to stretch this out, but do you recall the markings from your original relic? As mine shared similar markings to that of my pendant."

"Hm.  Yes.  The townsfolk were a bit too social at first, for my liking.  I believe they caught on quickly when I refused their attempts to be "neighborly" and such early on.  Since then they've been respectful of my privacy."  Although there was still the rare occasion when an overly curious villager would knock on her door with a thinly veiled excuse to try and get invited inside, or approach her on the street, attempting to draw her into a conversation.  "Most of them understand I wish to be left to on my own, and let me be.  I do listen if there is an occasion where they believe my skills as a Hero will be needed, however."

She watched the dark liquid swirl about in her cup before responding to Vetis' statement.  "I still travel about on occasion, you know.  To be honest, I originally only intended to keep this house as a base to touchdown at inbetween my wanderings over the country.  If I had known I would be spending as much time here as I am, I would have chosen a building somewhere a bit less busy.  Perhaps on the outskirts of the village like yours, or a cabin a short ways outside the gates.  Close enough to visit for supplies and such, but not so close that I would have neighbors."  Raum glanced up, smiling at the compliment.  "Welcome, and thank you as well.  I bought it from a traveling Trader during my last jaunt across the lands.  I believe you're the first to taste it since I brought it home."

Watching Vetis' reaction to her news and proposition, the dark haired archer's lips quirked up in excitement.  Not that she would have admitted it, but she had been missing the mage's company, and she had to stop herself from smiling broadly when Vetis agreed to the plan.  "I'm glad to hear it, I had hoped we could undertake this together.  I'll gather together some supplies later this afternoon, and we can discuss where to begin our investigation before we set out."  Sipping her tea, Raum frowned, also troubled by the sudden shift in the noise of the town.  "No, it isn't... In fact, I've never heard an uproar like this before," she replied to Vetis, placing her tea on the table and standing with the mage.

She inhaled sharply at the mage's statement, grasping the edge of the table as a wave of anger swept over her.  "What?!" the archer rasped.  Whirling, she sprinted to the table that held her sharpened arrows, shoving them into the quiver and slinging it over her shoulder before buckling her short kantana around her waist and grabbing the longbow next to them.  Slamming through the wooden door of the house, Raum nocked an arrow in her bow, immediately aiming for the largest of the group, a tall, broad man weilding a strange, scythe like weapon.  Trembling with rage, it took a moment for the archer to realize that the group had already been subdued and bound by the guards, who were leading  them away to the town cells.

"Damnit!" the normally quiet woman swore viciously, sickened by the sight of the mas.sacured villagers around the town square.  She placed the arrow back in the quiver with hands that shook so badly from anger that she nearly dropped it before managing to place it with the others.  Raum nearly drew her kantana on the now bound group, before forcing herself to take several deep breaths and calm down.  As she watched the four men and women being led away, she finally noticed the odd weapons they weilded.  "Relics, hmm?  It seems we've managed to find them without even leaving the village," she muttered, eyes narrowed.  These people would need to be investigated thoroughly, Raum noted.

"Yep. Bloody mas.sacre," Vetis hissed in response to Raum's angry outburst. "I really hate people like this..." Dropping the drape from where she held it against the wall, the silver haired mage turned to watch as her darker haired cousin prepared herself with her Heroic weapons. She shifted slightly, causing the two long, jagged, slender daggers that hung at her waist to move slightly, the metal glinting. The thin, lilac markings that coated the silver metal began to glow slightly as the Mage's temper rose.

Stepping away from the window, Vetis inhaled slowly through her nose, watching her cousin practically smash the door open before following her, loosening one of her thin twin daggers as she followed. She closed the door with a quiet snap behind her, then paused by Raum.

The scene before them was devastating. Blood and beheaded villagers, the bystanders both sobbing and looking stricken. Vetis' gaze immediately sought out the ones responsible, desperately trying to keep a growl in her throat. Turned out she didn't need to worry, however, as the guards seemed to have mobilised already. She could just hear the words spoken from their mouths and the offenders, snorting loudly and looking at Raum.

"Not very good guards, are they?" She pinpointed, her voice quiet. ""We actually came for that drunk one"... Yeah, sure, focus on the minor offense. People have just been murdered right in front of you!" She rubbed an eye in irritation. "Seriously... It sounds as though though guards would have let them off had that one not said they all go down together. Oh, how noble," Vetis growled sarcasitcally, then grunted before walking off towards a small group of nearby villagers. She listened to Raum as she headed off, before looking over her shoulder at the darker haired woman "Relics, hm?... Look, Raum, I'll be right back." She said over her shoulder. "There's something I need to take care of,"

The young woman quickly skirted the area that was now being cleaned, or close to, her eyes on the bodies and her ex
pression flat. Stupid brawls were stupid. That was her only comment. Some people just had this natural ability to be able to kill without a single second thought. And to kill in such brutal ways... Such skill should be saved only for demons, mercinaries and other heartless creatures. Or, so it was in her opinion. She almost felt like setting those offenders on fire... Well. It would make her feel better, at any rate.

Pausing just short of the small group, the mage knelt slowly next to a child who seemed to be on her own. The little girls face was stricken with horror, her eyes wide and staring, tears streaming freely down her face. She jumped a foot in the air as Vetis smiled slightly at her. "Hello there, are you on your own?" She asked, her voice warm as she glanced at the nearby villagers.

The girl merely nodded quickly, before returning her gaze to the bloodbath as Vetis continued. "What's your name?"

"A-Anna... Annabel."

"Well, Annabel. How's about we find your parents, hm?... They can't be too far," The young woman held out her hand, watching the little girl as she seemed to debate over whether Vetis was trustworthy or not after seeing what she had. It was good few minutes later when the still-crying child held onto the mage's hand, finally seeming to give in to her fear and simply wanting to be back with her mother.

It didn't take too long to unite the two just beyond the market's center, and Vetis merely smiled at the mothers rushed thanks, watching the two walk away quickly before heading back towards where the murders were situated. The mage paused long enough to offer her condolences to a few villagers who seemed to have been related to the victims in some way, before eventually returning to her cousins side. The offenders had been led away by this point.

"Isn't it just tragic how such an act can ause so much pain..." She murmered, sighing and crossing her arms, before looking at a nearby pool of red. "Hm. Those people  are either very experienced mas.s murderers or something else," Biting her lip, the silver haired young woman thought about Raums last words regarding the group and the Relics she thought they carried. "Alright... The Guards should know you well enough to allow you entry to the prisons, right?... Cause I think we should go have a... Talk... With your towns new jail-birds."

Sumnor leaned back against the wall that the cot was connected to, testing it with his shoulder, realising it was right against the huge stone walls of the city, Well at least they got one thing right, he thought bitterly. "So, Sumnor, ya think me and Jeza have anything going?" Sumnor winced, he hadn't spent muc time with people of the same gender through his life, so he wasn't used to conversation with other men, "I don't know about that, I think the way she looks at it, your methods are a bit.... unorthodox?"

Abi opened one eye to see who was approaching, sitting up when she realised it was the other female of the group, seeing how she'd always been sociable throughout her life.  "I'm sorry to stretch this out, but do you recall the markings from your original relic? As mine shared similar markings to that of my pendant." Abi went to her side and pulled her scimitar loose, showing the blade to Jezebeth, before pulling her first relic out of her stchel and handing it to her, "There's some new markings on the blade, most likely from that last relic, but the markings on that relic itself were the original ones."

She leant her back against the thick front wall ofthe cell, testing it with her elbow, realising it was at least a foot thick, "That's not the way out, and through the sides leads straight into another cell..." Abi was thinkingout loud more than anything, "The cell doorwill have to be smashed through if we're to escape... probably the hamm-- oh wait, it's a scythe now." She looked at Jezebeth who now had the scimitar on her lap, where Abi had placed it.

Abadon remained quiet for a few moments. "Well, I don't know what that means, but I think underneath her bitter exterior, there is a sweet flower waiting to bloom." He joked, realising that what Sumnor Said was probably not a yes.

Jezebeth inspected the scimitar, and as Abi had said, it had markings that resembled an ancient language engraved into the weapon. Her own weapons had several markings that could befound on her first relic. She could not translate the language, however she knew the symbols for Hero as her mentor had taught her them when she was given her pendant. Scanning the surface of the weapon, she located the same symbol. "I am unsure of fate, but I believe yourself and your partner had the right Idea when deciding to slay the demon lords." She said in her un-emotional calf voice. She handed the red blade back to its owner.

Inspecting her pendant once more, she thought it curious as to why it had this ancient language, only to be scribed on the items destined for great Hero's yet It did not react to her. Looking up to her female companion, Jezebeth stood up. " This may be a waist of time, but would you try holding this pendant?" She asked, offering it in an open palm to Abigor.

Abi looked at the pendant, sitting forward to view it over, before reaching out and accepting it, a look of total surprise taking over her features when the writing began to glow, she wanted to drop it but something inside her told her to keep hold of it. "This is wierd.... it's glowing like the relics do, but I don't feel anything like the relics, only really a tingle." Sumnor looked over, not getting up, guessing it best to leave them to whatever it was they were doing he looked up at Abadon and beckoned for him to sit next to him.

"Ah, I don't know about that.... she seems friendly as is, I just think it's that she doesn't care what anyone else thinks, and likes to show what she thinks. It's an admirable trait in anyone, really." He rubbed at the tattoos on his left forearm, having taken the armour off, the scythe still coiled around it. He remained with a long sleeved woolen shirt that only just fit, his muscelbound body stretching most clothes found in stalls.

"Plus she's got the heart of a warrior, you have the heart of a drunkkard, but a great skill with that blade of yours, so you're another one I admire in a way. Drunkeness put aside, of course. But you both seem like the best people possible to be travelling around with."  His lower half was coverred by basic linen trousers, also tight, having to be in order to not make his armour awkward to use.

"Yes, it certainly is unusual." Jezebeth focused on the glowing pendant. "It is certainly related to the Relics, we now know that much." She pondered, she had never thought about the shape on the pendant, perhaps It was a broken relic, or perhaps the power would only be released once returned to a shrine? The second option, she decided was more likely, It was too smooth to be broken relic. "Well, what ever power it is that the pendant possesses, It seems to be aimed at you Abi." She smiled. They now had a lead. It may have only been a small one, but it was a lead non the less.

Abadon looked to his fellow. "Well I appreciate the compliment, but I seriously don't know how to use this thing." He said cheerily, finding it amusing that Sumnor though it to be that he had skill. "I just swing and hit. The new 'turn enemy's to ash' feature is new, and I'm glad I'm not an enemy, or I would be dust long ago." He smirked patting the black Claymor. He removed a leather flask from underneath his cloak. " Unlike yourself, you adapted real quickly from that hammer of yours." He removed the cork then took a swig from the gin inside, then offering it to Sumnor.

Raum curled her lip in disgust at Vetis' quietly spoken words.  "Yes, why focus on stopping a ma.ss  murder when there's a drunk in town?" she asked sarcastically.  "I knew the guards weren't the bravest lot, but I thought they would at least protect the townspeople.  I supppose I placed more faith in them than they deserved," the dark haired archer supplied quietly.  Swallowing back her bile, Raum nodded at Vetis' words as she walked around the bloody scene, watching her older cousin kneel and speak gently to the shocked young girl.

Following the mage's example, Raum began to help with the clean up, moving the bodies from the town center to an unused storehouse down a side street of the market place.  Grasping a bloody arm, she nearly gagged when she recognized the man it was (barely) attached to as a merchant she had purchased produce and goods from several times during her stays in the village.  Breathing deeply, she switched her grip to the corpse's legs and with the help of a nearby villager moved the dead man to the  warehouse turned morgue.

It took several more trips for the area to be cleared, and Raum returned to the town square, just in time to see Vetis return from escorting the child back to her family.  "Yes..," she replied to the silver haired mage's question, only halfway paying attention to her.  "They're monsters, Vetis," the archer murmured.  "These villagers didn't know anything about real combat.  Most of them wouldn't know how to handle a real weapon properly if they had one.  Those people could have easily subdued them without killing any of them, even with the numbers disadvantage.  This,"  Raum spoke viciously, sweeping one hand to gesture to the bloody grounds, "Was completely unneccessary."

The action drew Raum's attention to her blood covered hands from moving the bodies, and her mouth twisted in disgust.  "Excuse me," she told Vetis quietly, hurrying back into her house.  Twisting the knobs of the sink faucet, she plunged her hands under the cold stream of water, scrubbing viciously until the skin was pink and her fingers were numb from the freezing water.  She shut off the water, still feeling enraged and sickened, she rejoined her cousin outside.  "Yes, I believe they will allow me access," Raum continued from where she had left off.  "And if they hesitate, I will simply remind them of their failure to protect the villagers.  I doubt they will risk argueing with me in light of that."  She gestured to Vetis.  "Come."

Following the path the guards had taken a short while ago, Raum led her cousin down a side street, to a stout, well built brick building against one of the city walls.  The guards stiffened at their approach, watching the pair of Heroes cautiously.  "We need to speak with the four warriors you just arrested," the dark haired archer told them.  She narrowed her eyes at their suspicious looks.  "I am a citizen of this town," Raum reminded them.  "I have no intention of breaking any of the laws.  I simply wish to question them."

The head guard watched them uneasily, but swung open the door and allowed them to pa.ss.  "The four of them are in one of the cells toward the back," the hulking man told the two woman as they entered.  "Don't get too close to the bars."

Raum snorted quietly once the door had closed behind them.  "And of course he doesn't offer to accompany us, two women going to see four people who just slaughtered a crowd of people.  How noble of him."  she said causticly.  Sighing, she spoke again, more calmly this time.  "Shall we go see about these strangers, cousin?"

"I WISH THAT PUNCTUATION HAD A PHYSICAL FORM SO I COULD SMOTHER YOU WITH IT."

Watching the few villagers attempt to clear the town markets cobbles of quickly drying blood, Vetis' eyes flickered to her dark haired cousin when the younger woman fled to her house. The mage had noted the ominous stains of red that coated the archers skin, and she sighed somewhat sadly as she turned back to the scene.

Villagers had finally begun to disperse, some crying, others looking stricken, though each one clearly attempted to steer clear of the square in which the slaughter had taken place. A few of the market stall owners had closed up and cleared off, clearly not wanting to stay and continue with business after what they had just witnessed. Not that Vetis could blame them. She stood just outside Raums house, arms crossed, and her eyes narrowed as a strange thought came to her, regarding the four who had caused this bloodbath. She immediately dismissed it, however, turning her gaze over her shoulder when she heard of her cousins return.

She smiled slightly at thw womans words, then followed, her arms still crossed. "Hm. I'm as.suming they all know your a hero, Raum. It'l only be fair they return any favours to you, especially if you've had to protect them in the past," She shrugged, glancing towards the buildings that resided on her right side down the narrow street. The owners of these stores, although not present at the events in the square, had clearly heard of it. Their expressions were edgy, and they watched the coming and going of potential custom with a certain waryness, though that was saying something. A lot of people had fled to their homes.

Sighing through her nose, Vetis turned her red-eyed gaze back to Raum, raising an eyebrow slightly at the Guards initial reaction to them. Geez. The slaughter had seemed to make everyone edgy. She followed Raum without speaking past the head Guard, snorting quietly in response to his words. She glanced over her shoulder at the door when it closed, then laughed quietly.

"Oh yeah. I feel sorry for us... Poor, defenceless us. No doubt this meeting will do us some serious mental damage." She rolled her eyes, the nodded. "Lets. I have a certain suspicion regarding these killers... I sincerely hope my as.sumption is incorrect, however. I don't quite like the idea of being... Ugh, linked... With people like that."

She shrugged, then headed off down the corridor, her footsteps making absoloutely no noise on the stone floor. Vetis had always been pretty good at hiding or disguising an approach. She'd walked a good few minutes when she heard voices, and she had to bite her toungue lightly to avoid growling. Her emotion immediately snuffed out when she saw the slight glow bouncing off the stone walls however. "Hm?" She murmered, pausing for a moment before frowning at Raum.

With a slight shrug, she continued forward, and stopped with her arms still crossed when she came to the cell containing the four killers. She noted their weapons and the markings on them, her anger growing at the realisation. The markings seemed similar to her own, both on her daggers and her skin whenever she chose to cast a high level spell. Her lips twisted unpleasantly. Heroes. Great... Just what she thought. As far as she was concerned, they didn't deserve that ti
tle.

"Raum?" She asked, leaning against the prison wall and watching the four inside, her silver hair tinted a burning orange by the torches lined along the bumpy wall. "Perhaps you'd like to address them first?... After all, it was your neighbors they chose to annihalate out there... Your neighbors they chose to take permenantly from their families." She hissed quietly, her eyes narrowed and her ex
pression deadly calm. Heroes, seriously?... Pff. Yeah, right.

Sumnor nodded and shrugged slightly, "I was trained to adapt rigourously, taught never to back down to new developments when in a battle. The Scythe was an extreme development, but I knew that if I wanted to survive that farse that I had to stick with it and see what it could do."

He took the flask offered to him wearily, before sniffing at the liquid inside and and turning up his nose at it. "That's definately not my kind of drink, Abadon." Sumnor felt slightly ill and repulsed after taking in a sniff of whatever alcohol was inside that flask. "I was always more into the occasional beer, I was raised never to be a heavy drinker, so it's just not in my nature, no offense meant."

Abi smiled,  before offering the necklace back to Jezebeth, "Whatever it is, it's very similar to a few necklaces I've seen in the past, worn by heroes, of course probably buried along with them when they died or were killed." She pulled her scimatar back and tied it back to her belt, wanting to be prepared as possible in case the guards made an attempt to make an 'example' of the four of them.

Sumnor's eyes narrowed as he was about to say something else to Abadon. He stood and lowered into a crouch, sneaking over to the side of the cell door, listening to approaching footsteps and hushed voices. He ket his voice low as he spoke, "There's two women coming.... and from what they're saying I don't think they agree with what they did, make no acknowledgment that I'm hiding here, if they asked I caused problems and was put in a  seperate cage.... I have a plan."

As the first of the two women approached the cage door, he panicked, his sight snapping to where his armour lay. He was about to dive for it, before reasling it wasn't there. The scythe had somehow moved, and as it was coiled around the armour, so had it, laying now next to Sumnor, out of sight.
