"That's not fair!" cried Lillypaw, enraged by the stupidity of ShadowClan. She buried her nose into Lynxpaw's fur without really thinking about it, and whispered, "Come to WindClan, then. They'll take you in, tail or no tail."

As they approached the WindClan camp, Lillypaw slowed. She entered the camp cautiously, ignoring the curious glances shot at her. As she entered the leader's den, she called out softly, "Lighteningstar? Are you here? I have something important."

Lighteningstar's eyes widened in surpirse, but his repaly was cool. "WindClan has never been one to exile for differences, Lynxpaw, and for that reason alone, I shall let you join us. But you must prove yourself to have unwavering loyalty, and show that you are a valuable member of WindClan." Lillypaw let a mrow of delight slip through her closed mouth, overjoyed.

Lillypaw smiled and turned to go back to the medicine cat's den. "I have to go," she said, spotting Larkpaw in the clearing. Racing towards her brother, she yelled, "Larkpaw!" *~* Larkpaw looked up from sharing tongues with Snakepaw. The apprentice got up and padded away, knowing that Larkpaw would want to talk with Lillypaw alone. "Lillypaw," he greeted her, wrinkling his nose at the atrocious mix of RiverClan, ShadowClan, andn their own WindClan scents. "What have you been up to?" Lillypaw blushed, but sat beside him and resumed Snakepaw's place in sharing tongues. "We had some run-ins at the border." "Like what?" he asked, genuinely curious and puzzled. "Well, first there was Runningpaw--" "Runningpaw?" asked Larkpaw, alarmed. He had asked his sister to avoid the RiverClan tom before. Lillypaw nodded, but didn't elaborate, instead, she also added, "And Lynxpaw. He's... um, a part of our Clan now." Larkpaw shook his head, muttering, "Lillypaw, what have you done?"

Lynxpaw was sniffing around the camp, his stubby tail flicking back and forth curiously. From afar, he would've looked like an adventurous kit.

Larkpaw, frustrated, got up and walked away from his sister. ~*~ Lillypaw sighed and watched him leave. She padded over to the fresh kill pile after watching him for a few more moments, and picked out a plump mouse. She was hungry, but she wondered if she would be able to eat the whole thing. Trotting back into the medicine cat's den, she began her meal.
